LUCY's POV

"Natsu I - I want to take things slow." I said hesitantly.

"I understand Luce." He gave me a warm smile and hugged me tight.

"I'm just happy to know that you do love me." He added, smiling.

"Thank you." I sighed in relief.

It was silent, we were both staring at each other.

I didn't know what to say, I was scared, embarrassed and confused.

I couldn't understand what I was supposed to say, let alone know what to do.

*Buzz*

Natsu's phone vibrated. He took it out of his pocket and started reading the text.

I sighed in relief, all the silent treatment made me want to throw up.

A smirk slowly crept on his face.

"Looks like we've got a flight to Maldives." His smirk grew wider.

"We?!" I exclaimed.

"Yup." He chuckled.

"Why? When?" I panicked.

"Because Dad's going to give me a break, and he had his secretary book two tickets to Maldives." He smiled.

I was about to speak but--

"We're leaving the beach house tonight. We have to pack up, we're going to Maldives tomorrow morning." He smiled.

"Okay." I smiled.

Something caught my eye. A red bugatti veyron outside the beach house. I ran out to look at the plate number.

There was no way I was wrong.

Zeref... I thought.

And I will never be wrong.

That signature wavy black haired man, as pale as snow. Zeref Dragneel, stepped out of his favorite sports car, slowly removing his shades from his face.

"Zeref!" I yelled, catching his attention. I was teary-eyed, I missed him so much.

He looked at me with a cheerful smile.

"Luce." He said under his breath, looking at me happily.

My body made shivers through my spine sending a wave of energy on my body. I started running to him.

I jumped on him as he carried me.

"I missed you so much!" I smiled

"I missed you too Luce." Zeref smiled and slowly put me down on the ground, gently patting my head.

I then looked at Natsu. He smiled.

"Thought you'd like my surprise. Correct me if I'm wrong, but the little blond is happy." Natsu chuckled.

Zeref's POV

After a fun day at the beach, Lucy decided to wash up, leaving me and Natsu outside.

"It hurts to see you two together, but as long as both of you are happy-" I sighed

"I'm happy." I continued.

"Okay, don't go all mushy. You're the one who told me you wanted to see her. But thanks." Natsu smiled.

"I love you both, I can't possibly get in between. But I swear to God if you hurt her--" He cut me off

"I won't, for as long as I live. I'll continue being a fool for her, even if she plays with my heart, I'll let her." Natsu sighed smiling as he stared at the sunset slowly going down.

Suddenly someone pulled us together. It was Lucy.

I stared at her, memorzing every detail of her face. Knowing that I wouldn't get to spend my life with her.

"I love you guuuuys!" She purred and snuggled onto our shoulders.

"We love you too Luce." Natsu joked.
