Chapter 21 - Princess Locked Away

Olivia POV

I jump as Uncle Felix slams my bedroom door behind him and I hear him locking it.

The tears I had been holding back for so long were streaming down my face as I flung myself onto my bed. As soon as I had entered the door seemingly unharmed I knew I had underestimated how much trouble I was really in.

Uncle Felix roughly grabbed me by the arm and dragged me to my room without any words before proceeding to yell at me for what felt like years in my room. I had apparently been gone for over four hours after the explosion and the whole castle was on lockdown. Apparently they really thought I was dead this time.

Who would set off bombs like that? I wondered. I hadn't actually thought too much about it before, the shock and Logan were enough to distract me.

I had a feeling I wouldn't be let out of my room for a while. I wandered over to my door and pulled on it. Yeah, definitely locked. But what if I can't get out to meet Logan again? Surely he'll know I'm in trouble. A lot of its his fault seeing as he took me to his castle again. Well, I was hurt so I guess he did the right thing.

I shuddered. If Uncle Felix was this angry at me now, for doing something like this I didn't even want to image what would happen if he found out about him. I could hardly sleep that night. Tossing and turning I couldn't help but worry about everything. I had heard no word from anyone since Uncle Felix's meltdown, but I did see Lydia give me a somewhat sympathetic look.

She wouldn't have told them, right? No, Uncle Felix would have brought it up. She'd never do that to me. What did she tell them when she got back? She must've made something up. If my excuses don't match to hers that could be bad, I frown.

I hear a soft knock on my door and a whisper, "Livvy?"

"Lydie?" I laugh at my old nickname for her.

"I think we can talk through the door," She whispers, "what happened?"

"We were right next to the explosions when they happened!" I tell her, "a brick or something hit my leg and his back was all cut up!"

"Are you okay?" She sounds worried.

"I am now. I could barely walk, he had to carry me," I giggle.

"Aww, that's so cute!" I can hear her practically swoon.

"He took me back to his castle and I was in his room. He got me a medic," I tell her and she gasps as I finish the story.

"I begged them all to let me in but apparently I'm in big trouble too," I can hear her laugh.

"Sorry," I mumble. I was feeling guilty that she was in trouble, too.

"Hey, it was mostly my idea!" She doesn't sound to worried, which was good.

"Oh, good news!" Her tone becomes happier, "I kept an eye on Uncle Felix. I know where he put the key to your room. Dad and our uncles will probably be out tomorrow so I can steal it from his office."

"Are you sure they're out?" I ask.

"I think so, I heard them all talking before the boys and I got kicked out. But they're angry, Liv," she tells me.

"Why? We had permission to go out and it wasn't either of our faults!"

"I know. I think they just got scared," she sighs, "but I'll get the key and we can talk for a bit tomorrow. I'll get the boys and-"

"No!" I cut her off, "I mean, all apart from Luke."

"Hm? Why not Luke?" She asks.

"I don't know- I just feel really guilty about everything Lydia," I admit.

"I know," she replies pitifully.

"I just can't face him right now."

That night I barely slept. I heard no word from anyone but felt a little happier after speaking to Lydia.

I woke up the next day to blinding light in my eyes as I shield them with my hand and groan. After a while, I jump when I hear the lock of my door rattling. It swings open and I instantly pull my cousin into a hug.

"I'm so glad you're okay," she says into my shoulder and pulls away.

"I managed to convince Uncle Felix to take Luke with him, strangely enough," she laughs, "as soon as I mention the words "Luke" and "King" in the same sentence he completely changes."

"I feel so guilty," I frown, "I'm being so selfish."

"How?" Lydia asks.

"I'm betraying my own brother for my own stupid love life. Lydia, Logan and Luke are supposed to hate each other and I love both of-"

"You love him Olivia?" She gasps but smiles.

"I-" my face heats up, "-may have told him that."

She screams excitedly and grabs my arms, "oh my god!"

"Shh, Lyd," I shush her worriedly.

"Aww, but that's so adorable," she whispers.

"Lydia!"

"What?"

"You're not helping!"

She pauses, "oh, yeah I see the problem."

She lets go of my arms, "listen, he won't find out. Not anytime soon, at least."

Not helping. I sigh, done with the subject, "can you just go and get them please?"

A few minutes later my door burst open again, but this time I am greeted by three loud boys asking me questions all at once.

"Are you okay?"

"Where were you?"

"Do you know how worried we all were?"

"I wasn't worried."

"Be quiet!" I wave my hand in their faces to shut them up, "you're not supposed to be here, remember?"

Instantly they all went quiet but I could see them dying to ask more questions. I "explained" everything with the help of Lydia, feeling guilty for lying to them but it had to be done.

"How the hell'd you knock yourself out you idiot?" Liam laughed, causing the other two to smirk.

I shook my head, "I panicked, you can't blame me."

So, for the rest of the day until the adults got home we sat in my room and caught up. I felt happy to be spending time with my family.

"I think you'd all better get out before they all get back," we hear a voice say form the door.

I see my grandmother, smiling, "I thought you went with them?"

"I thought I'd stay and keep an eye on you lot."

"You've been here the whole time?" Lydia asks.

"Yes, but don't worry, they won't find out," she says and I can't help but sigh with relief.

She drags my cousins and brothers out of the room, "now out before they see you."
