The bluenette leaned his back against the rocky wall. Wasn't a very comfortable position since his head felt the unbalanced and pointy edged rock on his skull.

"Valt, is there dark energy nearby?" Shu asked. Valt hummed signifying that it was still safe to stay a little longer in the cave. The devil understood and continued to prepare the fire. There's a lot of sticks just along the entrance of the cave so theirs no need to search far away from the safe spot.

Although the ghosts and fog weren't around them, the freezing air was still there and it felt like one of them was going to get frostbite real quick if they didn't light a fire any time soon.

"Shu, what sin did you commit to being in the Underworld?" The bluenette questions. He doesn't like using the word Hell for a few reasons. The main one is because he doesn't like cursing. There was a long silence before Shu was able to answer the angel's question.

"Murdered people for money and— committed suicide."

Valt's mind went completely blank. Hearing that the albino-haired devil did such an act was unexpected.

"Do you remember why you... T-took your own life?" Valt stutter. He doesn't know if he should keep asking questions, but he would like to know the devil's motives for his actions. Shu thought for a second and he shook his head side to side.

"I'm not so sure."

...

"But, I do remember murdering someone before I did. I believe they knew who I was and reported me. I was about to get caught and I had no idea where to go, so I pulled the trigger. Maybe my dumbass didn't want to spend years in jail." Shu chuckled. Valt just sat there in silence. How can the albino giggle about such a topic that deep?

"Ah! Why don't you look at this! Finally, you fire up once I turn my back on you." Shu says getting towards the fire and blowing on the small flames to flare up more.

Once the flare ignited, Valt and Shu got themselves comfortable and got close to it to warm up from the deathly breeze.

"From how Mikan and Uta are, do you think they'll be okay?" Question the bluenette. The devil just shrugged.

" They're total morons who believe they know it all and they do... Sometimes." Shu scoffed before saying his final word in his sentence. Valt hummed.

.....

It's awkward again... Isn't it?

"Hey Angel, how did you die?"

The bluenette omega sighed before answering the question.

"Murdered by a criminal. Not sure how they looked like but I was a young investigator solving a case that I wanted to solve my whole life. It was interesting so I signed up for it and had an alpha partner. After maybe a year or a few months, he began to get distant with me whenever we were alone, but he did get worried for me over little things like puking. Not sure what his deal was but I began gaining a lot of weight. It was my day off that day and I smelled a familiar scent somewhere near my apartment. I went out and everything was a blur. That's when I saw someone on top of me cutting my stomach and then slicing my neck. I woke up in Heaven after that. Couldn't see who the murder was too." Valt explains. Shu put his arm over the angel's shoulder to get him closer. Valt felt his heart thump rapidly. Strange, why does his chest beat so much over little things like this? The devil is just doing it to comfort him!

Well... Is he comforting him because he wants to show his kindness and pity, or is he doing this because he does feel bad for the unexpected event?

"Listen Valt, I may be a sinner and not know how it feels like for that to happen since I don't care much about someone's past, but for some reason, I feel like I wished I knew you when you were alive so I could've protected you from him." The devil says. Valt blushed hearing his words. Lord, is he insane for feeling this way towards someone so different from him that believes violence is the key to interacting with someone!?!

"Hm!" Valt jolted and that alarmed Shu. The omega is having that Danger Instinct Mikan had mentioned back at the hotel.

"Stay with the fire, I'll take a quick look," Shu assured the omega. Valt trusted the albino alpha and got himself comfortable with the fire as Shu got up to go toward the cave open hole.

"...?" Shu doesn't see anything, but he does feel something. A tap on his shoulder made the devil uneasy and turned to look behind him in confusion. He sees Valt still close by the fire.

Strange...

"Valt, did you tap my shoulder?"

"No! I was over here. Why?" Valt inquired having a puzzled expression. Shu felt goosebumps on his skin again. The cold breeze was something now.

"Look at him acting so brave for the angel. Isn't that soooo disgustingly sweet?"

Valt and Shu turned their heads to look behind them. Inside the cave's darkness, there appears to be a ghost figure. However, this one doesn't look like the ones outside. He looks more human while the rest look like circus actors roaming a haunted house at a fair.

"Who are you?" Asked the bluenette getting up on his feet as he observed the being from a far distance. The figure hummed and went up to the bluenette with a full interest of the angel.

"You two must be lucky to be out. I've been here for over a decade." He says in his usual slight echo-like voice. Must be normal for their voice to be that way.

"What do you mean we're lucky?" Questioned the devil albino. The supernatural scoffed and too got close to the other male in the cave to scan his appearance.

"I mean that it's a thrill to see either Heaven or Hell. I want to know who I am as a human whether it's good or bad."

Valt put his head down.

"What's your name?"

"... I don't remember. And I know why you guys are back in the mortal world. This place and many other areas of the earth have been odd."

"How odd on a scale of 1 to 10?"

"A solid 10. Not only am I the one who notices the events to the mortals, but almost a thousand of the people in each country are also killed a minute and more violence in public and purge activities are occurring more than usual. Spirits like me might not be controlled by the so-called Specter Guidance who hide under the seas."

"Specter Guidance? What and who are those people?" Shu asked wanting more details. The unnamed ghost thought for a moment to find a good way to answer without confusing the two males.

"They're humans that are very much into dark magic. I heard that they used that magic to manipulate supernaturals and sinner's minds for some reason. They even made urban legends become a reality, so seeing the girl from the Rings is possible depending on the area you are in. Like the 8 feet tall woman is originally from Japan so she isn't allowed to leave Japan at all." He explains with a grin on his face. Both Shu and Valt wonder why this ghost is being so smiley about this subject. He's probably also one of the mortrals that belonged to the mental hospital since they also notice the way he is dressed. 

"So, do you have any idea why the Specter Guidance is forcing you all to become bloodthirsty?" The alpha albino inquired. The white-gowned spirit shrugged.

"All I know is what I just told you. Oh, and I see your third wheels coming this way!" The ghost gestures his hand signaling the two pairs to hurry inside the cave. Uta and Mikan got on their knees and drew a few signs on a sheet of paper the redhead had. They put the now decorated papers on the sides of the cave. 

"What's that for?" Valt asked. Mikan hummed and dropped cherry blossom petals onto the ground that made a perfectly straight line.

"It's a barrier to keep us safe for now. " Uta answered also joining the circle.

"And we hope we didn't interrupt anything between you two!" Mikan giggles following Uta. The two then notice the floating being in front of them and began to examine each other. 

"Ah! It's you from the file!!" Uta exclaims. 

"And you are Mrs. Kirishima!!"

"Eh? You know me?" Mikan blushes. The spirit nodded frequently and she seems to believe him so easily.

"You're the nice lady who saved me from my bully alpha's."

"Oh! So it's you, Okiko!" Mikan beams seeing the boy. The spirit began cheering like a little fangirl being noticed by her favorite idol. Uta then pulled Mikan to the side and went to a little huddle.

"Mikan-Chan, I know you're nice and all, but are you sure we can trust this kid?" Uta says to her with a bit of worry. Mikan sighs and crossed her arms. The redhead could feel the vibe she was giving off, mostly her scent. It's not sweet like it was before.

"So your name is Okiko, it's a pleasure to meet you! Tell me why your spirit is here and not in either Heaven or the Underworld?" Valt questions the supernatural. Okiko shrugs and went to sit by the fire.

"I woke up dead and for some reason, I couldn't get out of the Earth ground. Even the ghosts in the graves couldn't get out." Okiko answered honestly. He did, he seems to be a child, and we all know how kids are.

"Interesting. But I wonder one thing, why are you in this cave? Sorry if it makes you uncomfortable by the way. It's just that the other spirits are in the grave and they wear exactly what you're wearing." Uta says to the kid. Okiko seemed uncomfortable with the question but liked that the redhead didn't mean to make him uncomfortable with his question.

"It's alright. I'm in this cave cause this is the place is where I died. The rest are on the graves cause they killed them all there. I ran away in hopes I could find a way out of the forest, but I was wrong." The child says with a shivering tone. The group of four felt shivers. It must've been trauma seeing all of them be killed right in front of a child. But there's also another question...

Why murder their patients?

"Okiko, is there anything that can get rid of them? For example, Mikan doing a ritual?" Shu inquired turning his glance towards his twin. Mikan sweatdrop.

"I'm afraid to say this but it looks like I have to make it clear, I don't have my fucking witchcraft book!" She says reminding him. Valt and Uta began to shush her and also made her realize that it isn't good cursing in front of a child and a sleeping baby she's been carrying. Now that she remembers the child on her back, Mikan sat on a rock and put the little mortal in her arms. The baby was then awakened by her movements but seemed to not mind.

"Weird, this kid doesn't seem to be bothered at all... I like him!" Mikan giggles. Uta pouts.

"Shu, can you also do witchy stuff? I wanna be a baby for a day and see if she'll treat me the same way she's treating that baby!" Uta begs. The albino alpha sweatdrop and Valt just took Okiko by the side to get away from the cringe.

"No, I can't," Shu answered.

"And Uta-San, if you really did turn to one I would leave you in the street." Mikan says from where she was sitting. Uta began to act dramatic and put his hand on his heart as if his chest were aching badly.

"That hurt me... Right here!" He cries and does a dramatic pose that everyone in the cave couldn't help but grin and let out little laughs.

"Well, do you remember of one then?"

"Yeah, as if I do cause I've been dead for over 15 years. But since we're in the subject of remembering, I guess I could perform one of them I used constantly that it's still in memory." She says calmly. Shu seemed relieved to hear that. Valt and Okiko grinned.

I have to admit that staying with them makes me feel a lot safer.

Hm... I hope it's alright to get along with them like this. It shouldn't cause me trouble back in Heaven! Heh, I'm glad they proved me wrong about devils.

"Hey, I like your necklaces! I just noticed that we're still wearing them." Mikan complimented as she pointed at the silver half heart angel-like wing. Uta glanced at Shu's and so did the albino out of curiosity.

"Put them together! Put them together!!" Okiko exclaims pushing the bluenette closer to the albino. Shu and Valt blush cause they had to lean close just for the heart to be complete.

"Awww!~ I have got to put this in the album!" Mikan giggles as she took her phone out to record Shu and Valt being "close" friends. Valt's heart began to flutter seeing how the devil was somehow calm about their faces being so close.

"Oh my, it's now connected!" Uta grins.

Both Shu and Valt have to admit one thing about this, it's embarrassing. However, they both love the heart.

Not because they like each other that way but as in bros!

Ahhh... Lord forgive me if this is wrong!!

Lmao, I should stop calling you all children. I don't know the ages of my audience most of the time so I gotta find a new word for you all. Anyways, I'm back just for this chapter, sadly. 😭✋

My teachers are being a real pain in the ass and I also gotta help with someone's 15th birthday and I'm not complaining about that one cause I need to do something in life.

Parents keep complaining about how I don't dance at parties, so I'm gonna be one of the dancers for my classmate. And the projects got me shaking.

Anyways I hope everything is going well for you all! And I'm not so sure when I'll be back from writer's block, but I hope I will get back on track soon!
