"Valt! When will you start to get up early?" Shouted a teen girl, struggling to snatch the warm blanket off her brother. Valt groaned and in the process of her getting the blanket off his body, he fell face on the floor and let out a weeping cry. She laughed before getting him to stand up.

"Nika, what time is it?" Valt groaned as he touched his nose to see if it wasn't broken.

"It's fine. I decided to wake you up an hour early before you start your first job!" She says with a bright smile. Valt was relieved, but felt useless. He set up his alarm clock to wake him up at 5. Instead, he made her worry and care for him. He is supposed to do that!

"Where's Tokonatsu? Did he leave already?"
"Toko-Chan left to get some ingredients for more bread to cook before 7. Anyways, you should get up and put that uniform on! Your first day will start in an hour!~" She reminded him before closing the door behind her. Valt playfully rolled his eyes and went to the washroom to wash himself and brush his teeth.

Ever since his mother and Mahiru passed away a year after Nika and Tokonatsu were born, his dad had to provide for his children and try not to leave them alone at home. It wasn't until Valt turned 15 that his father allowed his kids to start working with the family bakery business and leave them to earn money while traveling again as a pilot to support the family.

Valt wasn't very trusted in the kitchen for 5 months other than cleaning, but he gradually grew better to reopen the Aoi Bakery again. He dropped out of his studies to earn money while Toko and Nika continued their studies. Yet, Nika and Tokonatsu too learned how to bake and now that Valt was 24, he desired to become a detective because the cause of his mother and sister's death were unexpected and hadn't been solved for nearly 16 years! Today will be the day he'll check the files and investigate the mystery himself if no one is interested in the story.

"Toko-Chan, you're back early and in time!" Nika chimes when she heard the door open. Tokonatsu laughed and handed her the missing ingredients. Although they graduated and haven't turned in an entrance exame for college, being part of the family business was enough for them.

"Need any help?" Valt inquired as he put on his low V neck-line light blue sweater vest above his white button up shirt. He wore a navy blue loose jean to combine well with the white and baby blue colors.
"Yes, can you help prepare the flour and Toko-Chan can heat up the oven!" Nika beams. The siblings get to work and had time to get enough bread made for Valt's breakfast and restock the shelves to sell them off.

"Valt, do you have everything you need?" The pink haired teen asked. Valt nod and kneeled down to tie his shoes.
"Wait! You forgot your lunch and suppressants." Toko shouted in alarm as he handed his elder brothers needs. Valt neatly placed the two items in the crossbody bag he currently had on.

"Thanks, is it full?"
"It should be. Toko-Chan had refilled it after your last heat. No worry, if it does come unexpectedly, you know who to call!" Nika smiles. Valt gave a grin in return and went off. It's an honor for him to be accepted in the police department so soon! Thankfully for him, detectives in this specific department only allowed Betas and Omega's as detectives, so it shouldn't be an issue for him to be partnered up with them.
Let's just hope he gets their approval of investigating his family case.

The morning was getting brighter and the humid air was being swept away by the hot air that will be coming soon in the afternoon. Valt made it to the building and was greeted by a Beta man.

"Valt Aoi! Glad to see you join us right on time!" He says with relief. The room was packed with Betas and 2 Omegas. Alphas were present as well. Guess a crime had just been uncovered.

"General, may I ask what has happened?" He inquired.

"A murder has taken place inside a love hotel. The victim, 46 year old Isamu Endo, was found dead on top of the bed. His love affair, 24 year old Hikari Aoki, was the witness of his death and dialed 118 at 1 in the morning." Says a tall male behind the group of Betas. Valt took a good look at the alpha and was impressed.

"Shu? Since when did you return?!" He exclaims with glee. Shu had a shy grin, but made his way to stand by the bluenette to take a look at the files.
"Not too long ago. I decided to come back after getting a degree on Criminal Justice and help serve the police in Japan. I stayed in Mexico for 11 years." He informed. Valt was enthusiastic about Shu returning and coincidentally joining the same police department as him. It sure has been years since they last saw each other. The day Shu suddenly got off the map, Valt never knew that Shu moved to another country!

"My, what a happy reunion! But can we please get to the point where we start doing our job?" An Omega exclaims from the crowd. Valt and Shu both nod and turned their attention to the General.

"Since I see our newcomer getting comfortable with our great investigator, I suppose I could trust Shu in leading and being Valt Aoi's partner for this crime. What do you two say?" He questions. Valt and Shu were into the idea and accepted being a pair. The meeting was dismissed and Shu lead Valt to witness the items and photos that was taken place in the scene.

"The victim was shot 3 times, 2 on his back and the other in the skull." The alpha began, "The witness had just finished taking a shower. When she came out, she saw her lover face down on the bed bleeding. She dialed 118 and first responders arrived 10 minutes later." Shu says as he handed the photos in order.
Valt took a long stare at each photograph, "Did she hear anything while being in the shower?"

"She did, but only a few thump sounds. The windows of the room was also shattered, so it's possible that the suspect was waiting to aim fire at his target from another tall building." The albino added. Valt understood his assignment and took a pause of the window. The buildings beside and across the love hotel were at a perfect height to aim at the man in the room he booked, yet is there a possibility that they might find him in surveillance footage from that hour?

"Let's go search for his steps in the security cameras from that street. I'm sure he walked from the street to the building." Valt says confidently. Shu agreed and both males managed to get access to the security footage. They had a long conversation with the fellow that managed that area of the street, but has said that there was no sightings of the culprit. To believe his claim, the man allowed them to witness the footage and he was proven correct.

     "Do we have any suspects?" Valt questions. Shu nod and have him the list of the possible murderer.
     "At first we believed it was Ms. Aoki since the victim was rich and was part of politics." Shu informed. Seeing more background information of the victim did make so much sense for why they believed it was her. Another suspects picture was shown, but it wasn't a license like the victim and the lover. It was blurry, hard to see the man in the black, grey, and red tight suit. His mask made it harder to get a good look at him. Yet, the designs of the mask was unique.

     "Red Eye?" Valt says raising an eyebrow, "I never heard of a name like that."
     "He's new. This man is his 5th kill. No one knows why he goes after the police department, but does have a liking to murdering detectives and investigators. That's why your application as a detective was accepted so rapidly." Shu included. Hearing who this Red Eye was and his preference to choosiness victims didn't make him uneasy. It's about time that a person was this smart. Another reason he believes he won't be on the list of people to target, he isn't into getting other cases done. His mission right now is to get his hands on his family's case file.

     "Is there anyone that knows his hideout and most seen areas?"
     "Of course not, he's some kind of agent. We aren't sure if he works for anyone." Shu admitted. Valt nod and returned the files to him.

     "I have a question..."
     "Go on."
     "May I have your permission to— check Chiharu and Mahiru Aoi's Case File?"
