🏮Lights Out🏮
Shu sighed and glanced at their surroundings. The night sky was slowly drifting off and a speck of light hit his crimson eye, making him hiss.
"I can't keep going. My legs hurt." Valt whence in pain as his heel ached. Shu kneeled and offered his back to the omega.
"I'll carry you." He confirmed.
Valt sweatdrop, "Are you sure? I don't want to waste your energy on carrying me."
"It's alright! Luckily, I found a place for us to stay in! It's only 3 miles away." Mikan assured. Valt was anxious yet accepted Shu's kindness. The albino followed behind Mikan and Uta who were guiding the two males to a home. It appeared to be distant from the city and in good condition. It was as if it hadn't been abandoned yet. Mikan double checked on the baby she carried on her back before proceeding towards the front door.
"Is this home an illusion? I've never seen a home so isolated from the city before, including the countryside!" Valt question, unsure if the building was real. Shu chuckled at the bluenette's wary question.
"I don't think so. Sure we demons have special abilities than you saints, but I never heard of a demon having the power to create illusions or hallucination." Shu assured with a comforting pheromone. It made Valt believe his every word and stayed calm.
"Not only did we find shelter for the next couple of days in Korea to solve paranormal shit, take a look behind you." Uta ordered. Shu and Valt did so and were speechless. Why was the forest they left just now still so dark? The sun should've been able to shine a beam right through it by now!
"Is the forest really that affected of negative aura?" Valt inquired again. Uta nod and lead the males inside the wooden cabin.
"Spirits that remain in this realm are around because of unfinished accomplishments. I'm sure you angels know that by now since it's been 15 years for you!" Mikan laughs, but that stopped seeing how blanked Valt's expression was. Shu gently dropped the omega off his back to let him sit beside the conflicted female on the couch currently carrying the wrath baby.
"The Lord hasn't discussed such things. He says that we angels don't interfere with the deceased matters for reasons." Valt answered.
Mikan rolled her eyes in disgust of the Lord's statement, "Let me guess, it's because they focus on the mortals?" She inquired. Valt nod which caused her to scoff and stressfully pull her hair back.
"What the actual fuck is wrong with— UGH!" She groans as she left the living room and head upstairs with the child still in her arms. The three males in the living room were silent. Once Mikan's moody stomping went away, Uta apologized for her childish behavior.
"I'm so sorry about that." He begins, "I'm sure she isn't always like that, but I believe it's a issue that she's bothered about." He says after making himself comfortable on the couch beside Valt. The omega hummed and let it slide.
Shu continued the topic, "I heard that angels before I died would help the spirits with unfinished accomplishments. I know for a fact that Mikan was first to die so I'm sure she was part of it seeing her reaction." He notified, "From what the Lord thought was a brilliant idea; he noticed the many mortals going through a terrible mental state because of a dieses spreading and feeling of isolation. So, he ordered all angels to never aid the spirits out of worry, love and care for the living." Shu informed. Valt has never heard of the news before. Of course he wouldn't, he died the same year as Shu, but his sister had been dead for 25 years! Not only her, but his mother as well! Did they know about this and not tell him? If so, it must've been their Father's words!
"Let's get some rest!" Uta exclaims excitedly, "Anyone going to take a shower first?"
"Oh! Has it been a full day now?" Valt asked with sparkle in his eyes. Shu nod and it made the bluenette so eager to count the days he's with the two devils and fallen angel.
"Go on ahead Uta. I'm sure Mikan is taking one since the little wrath ghost has activated motherhood." Shu chuckled. Uta agreed and head to the restroom that was down the dark hallway. There must be more rooms seeing how big the cabin was, so Valt got up from his seat and head upstairs to explore the rooms. Shu followed not long after the bluenette took 4 steps away from the couch.
"Shu, do you remember the month and day you passed?" Inquired the angel out of the blue.
Shu was suspicious of Valt's sudden interest in his background, "I myself am not sure, but I will say that it was rather too cold to be autumn that night. It was around winter that I passed into the afterlife." He answered honestly.
"Are we all supposed to not remember by force of how and why we pass?" The omega continues to interrogate the albino alpha.
"Possibly," Shu opened a bedroom door, "However, some things are better left forgotten. Guilt, embarrassment, unfinished goals and desires are the cause of most of your memories forgotten. " He informed as he scanned around the room. There was a nice bed on the corner of the room and next to it was a small desk stand where the window was to reveal the beauty of nature in the early morning. Valt too joined him, in hopes to be useful. He searched within the closet just across the bed and in there were a huge stock of jeans, hangers still holding up nice stylish clothes, shoes, boots, and sandals neatly organized under them, and a shelf fully dedicated to cute small to big stuffed animals.
"Shit, did we just barge in someone's home?" Shu questions as he held a picture frame from the countertop of the smart TV shelf. Valt too took a glimpse of the photo. There was five people in total and the mortals in the frame look identical, so it must be a family. The picture was taken on the top of a mountain and beautiful flowers they were stepping on.
"I highly doubt it. What if they recently passed?" Question the omega. Shu didn't agree. Although he told Valt to not worry and to stay calm in the cabin, this family photo doesn't sit well with him.
"Come, we have more rooms to investigate." He sighs as he left the picture frame on the spot it was originally placed and lead Valt to another room. This time, they had company. Mikan and the wrath child sti are taking their shower in the washroom. Smelling the pheromones of who walked in the room enlighten the lavender haired female.
"Valt, take away Tsumiki for me please!" Mikan exclaims from the shower. Shu trusted Valt enough to help, so just searched the place while the bluenette omega rushed for Mikan's aid.
"He's perfectly washed! Say, did you have a child while you were mortal?" He asked as he wrapped the baby with a white towel before getting the child rest in his arms. Mikan took a moment to give her answer.
"I doubt it. Besides, my time taking care of kids is a skill that develops overtime. Yet, most Fallen Angel ladies like myself do have the skill to give birth! I've been the one to help wash them up." She answered. Valt was astonished. Fallen Angels could give birth to a Devil? How's that possible? Devil's and Angels don't have the need to reproduce cause that would be catastrophic for the population. Guess the Fallen Angels have their own reign of rules, after all, they were banished for life.
"Valt, you got the baby?" Shu questions from the doorway. Valt rushed to let the child lay on the bed and added a warm thick blanket to keep it warm. Shu being useful in these situations came back with a diaper, baby cream, and new clothes for the baby.
"Where did those come from??" Valt questions. Since when did the albino get everything prepared too?!
"Instead of questioning my ability to also care for a child, we better get him ready to sleep." Shu demands as he took off the blanket and dried the baby's thin hair before applying the diaper and baby cream. He allows Valt to put his clothes on as he watched. Although it's uncomfortable for Valt to have someone stare at him, it's a different story with the albino Devil. It's not awkward or sinister, the feeling is kind of sweet and gentle.
"There! He looks so adorable in the onesie!" Valt cheers as he kept his gaze on the child.
"All that's left is..." Shu turned to look at Mikan taking pictures behind them.
"What?" She asked. Valt sweatdrop, knowing why Shu was staring at her.
"Feed the baby."
... Mikan was stunned. Yet, she doubts that milk will help. It has to be something demonic!
"Where's Uta? I don't think milk will help other than blood." She says as she left the room. Once again, Shu and Valt we're alone with the wrath.
"Ah!" The baby laughs. Valt was captivated of the amount of cuteness the ghost baby was and began to talk sweetly towards it. Shu saw now problem with the amount of attention the child was getting from Valt, but did wonder how and what would get Valt's attention if it were him.
Before Shu could ask Valt what his interests were, he noticed smokey waves coming from the baby. They were like traveling fog aiming for Valt's hazelnut eyes!
"Valt!!" Shu made sure to block Valt's sight off the child, but he was too late. He knew he failed to block his gaze from the baby because Valt was silent and fell on the Devil's arms. The smokey fog caused the Omega's eyes to change it's color from hazelnut to grey. Hearing the scream from his mouth caused Uta and Mikan to also rush to the scene.
"What the fuck happened?!" Mikan inquired as she examined the bluenette in her brothers arms. Valt was getting pale.
"Some fog got in his eyes while he was trying to get along with Tsumiki!" The Devil informed. Mikan nod and took the baby in her arms. He's fallen asleep??
"Not sure if wrath still evolve, but I'm sure Valt is alright, " Uta clarified. "See, he's still breathing!" Shu and Mikan turned to see if it was true, and thankfully it was.
"Leave him in one of the rooms. Whatever Tsumiki did must've fed him. However, I trust Shu to take care and watch over him. Who knows if Valt is experiencing a hallucination at the moment." Mikan said. Shu made sure to not let her down and carried the bluenette to the room they finished examining earlier. The bed was large enough for the both of them, so it's useful if Shu gets tired and rests beside the Omega.
"You sure he'll take charge of this? Don't you remember 15 years ago with him?" Uta says raising an eyebrow at the female. Mikan had her doubts, but she's confident that Shu has changed.
"We're Alpha's and Omega's in this home. We'll know if something if happening in the room by the scent."
"Well, I have no intention of apposing your decision."
