Mikan curled herself up in a ball on the corner of the hallway. She had a simple job and she already blew it!
     "Let's retract where we drifted apart." Uta suggested. As if they remember where they went! There's no way they will remember because it's a forest they're in, how could you remember anything while being chased by a bunch of floating ghosts!? The only thing you'll remember is saving yourself and pushing your dearest friend away when they get their grip on your shirt.

     "I don't think a ghost took him. It's best to search in the cave. After all, I do believe Mikan had him while in the cave." Valt informed. The four agreed to split up, but have both alphas and omegas investigate together instead of omega and alpha.
Mikan and Valt stayed in the forest for as Shu and Uta searched in the cave.

     "So, before you made your way to the cave Shu and I stayed, what did you and Uta do?" Valt interrogated Mikan. The lavender-haired omega thought for a moment and noticed a lake up ahead. That's when a lightbulb lit up above her head.

     "When the ghouls were gaining on us, we decided to hide. Uta went to the lake, Tsumiki and I hid behind a thick tree that was further away from the lake. The ghouls didn't catch us hiding, so we rushed to the opposite direction the ghouls went. That's when we saw the cave you and Shu-Kun were in!" She summarizes. Valt nod and scanned the view of the forest. Fog was mostly surrounding the lake and the thickest tree Mikan mentioned was still in place, but no sign of the baby. Seeing no clue of the child in the spot, Mikan began to get desperate like an actual mother would behave after realizing their child is no where to be in your surroundings. Valt felt sympathy, but had to remain tough and help find that child. It wasn't long for them to be in another situation. Valt and Mikan were lifted up from the ground and pulled together. Both their foreheads collided with each other and let out hurt cries as they rubbed their foreheads.

     "What the hell was that for?!" Mikan exclaims.
     Valt looked at her puzzled, "It wasn't on purpose!! And why so dark in here?" That's right, why is it dark all of a sudden? Mikan squirmed a bit. They weren't touching the ground that's for sure.
     "Great, we're in a bag hanging up in the air! What more will you do!?"

Crack!

The rope holding them up the air snapped and send the omegas down the muddy dirt. It was so sudden that Valt and Mikan passed out from the shock. A tall figure dressed in a black coat descended from the strong tree branch that had the rope before. He scanned the area around him before dragging the bag to a spot only he and a few others know.

     "Valt!! Where in the Hell are you?" Shu shouts desperately. It's been more than 15 minutes since they've arrived to where the omegas could have possibly been and there's no sign of them!
 

  "Shu, let's face it! They aren't here." Uta sighs. The albino devil gritted his teeth and pulled down the v-neckline collar of Uta's black knitted sweater, giving the other devil the most furious facial expression he had ever seen. It was like seeing a creepy smiling shadow with red glowing eyes staring deep into your soul, with the intent of making your death painful and slow.
     "Well let's search further away and beg the Holy Lord just this time that they're safe!" Shu snarled.
     Uta sweatdrop, No wonder this kid is a devil, the rascal must've been a menace to society since day one!

     "Are they awake?" A voice inquired from a distance.
     "They're both slowly gaining conscious. Get the others in with the spirit." Says a man wearing a dark green cassock and a mask to cover his face. Valt regained his consciousness and was frightened of the man staring at him. His white, dark moss green and golden ventian mask gave the omega goosebumps.

     "Wake up your friend. We want to discuss some things with you two." He ordered as he distanced himself from the bluenette and left the room. Valt could tell that the man was an alpha. His pheromones are no joke, and it seems he is waiting for the outside.
     Valt turned to glance at Mikan and began pushing and pulling her, "Mikan!! Get up!" He whines, "We have company!"
     "Damn, thanks for waking me up!" She says with a relieved tone, "I just had a nightmare."
     "Rare of you to say such a topic. Hurry, some mortals want to speak with us." He informed. Mikan nod and followed the bluenette to the door. It was swung open by a fellow beta nun.  She too was wearing a ventian mask with the same color pallet as the alpha Valt met. The beta woman didn't say much, she only ordered them to follow her until they reached their location.

The place was elegant. Statues of the Father, Jesus, and the Holy spirit were shining like the sun, very piercing to the devil's eye. Like literally, it could wash away the demons perfectly out of your body if it were during an exorcism. Up ahead were the priest and other beta assistants. Few of them were woman.
     "My lord, the guests." The nun says as she respectfully bowed and stepped aside to let the omegas get a glimpse of their surroundings. The alpha stepped forward and blessed the omegas holy water before expressing his inner thoughts.

     "You may be wondering why you're hear. It's simple, the child that accompanied you two is rather interesting." He spoke. Valt and Mikan turned to look at each other and back at him.
     Mikan stepped up, "Where is Tsumiki? The poor kid is probably hungry by now!"
     "So you're the one who gave it a name?" He asked unpleased. Mikan bit her lip as she crossed her arms, glaring at him.
     Valt pulled her back, "Sir, we're just average ghost hunters. Answer the question and we'll be out of your way."
     "You're not in the way." He groans, "I'm giving you a warning. That baby is no mortal like you and me."

Valt and Mikan stared at the priest.
     "That kid is a spirit, but not any ordinary ghost that allows you to see him." He informed. "The more time he's with you, he'll harm you mental health using hallucinations to the host. Since your friend gave it a name, it would emotionally break her down using that tactic."

     "You could just say he's a Wraith. Anyways, I don't mind about it." Mikan assured. The priest blocked her from coming closer to the group of beta men.
     "Don't you understand?  It's a dangerous kind of ghost! A demon isn't even as worse as this one!"
     "As long as I carry silver, everything will be alright! I'm not leaving a baby under your care, especially a priest." She growls. The alpha rolled his eyes under the mask and allowed Mikan to take a glimpse of the wraith baby.
     "Tsumiki! They didn't harm you, did they?" She asked. The baby appeared to be in good condition inside the silver cage the monks put him in. While Mikan was watching the beta nuns release Tsumiki unharmed, Valt and the priest continued their chat.
     "What will the hallucinations be like?" Valt inquired.
     "It's powerful, even for an innocent image. Although it will cause it's prey to fall into despair, those hallucinations might be things from the past. Sometimes seeing them could reveal a painful truth that could harm your relationship with a certain friend or lover." He discussed. Valt noted it all down in his mind. He will share this info to Mikan and the rest that's for sure.
     "Valt, let's get going. Tsumiki is yearning to get the hell out of here." Mikan exclaims as she carried the baby boy in her arms. Although this child was a Wraith, his charms are adorable.
     "Before you go, make sure to never let him go. We are a community similar to other religious beliefs across the world. You're lucky to have seen us first before it gets devilish." The alpha informed. Valt and Mikan nod and bowed to show dignity and respect before being guided out of the underground sanctuary of this group.

     "How's Tsumiki?" Valt asked as he smiled at the Wraith.
     "He's alright. Luckily he didn't get sever injuries!" Mikan beams as she rocked the baby in her arms to make the child fall asleep.
     "Valt!!"
     That voice... Valt and Mikan twisted their neck to view behind them. An albino and a redhead were dashing at them like a herd of rhinos. Valt was attacked by Shu's tight embrace and Uta feel to his knees trying to catch his breath, he had his hand wrapped on Mikan's ankle while doing so.
     "Where were you?! Did anything happen? Why do I smell pheromones on you?" Shu wondered as he scanned every inch of Valt's figure. The bluenette nervously giggled before answering three of his inquiries.
     "We were taken by surprise. A hidden church underground was where we were. It happens to be that Tsumiki is a Wraith and the pheromones were from a priest who happened to be an alpha." He answered. Hearing how honest his answer was, the albino devil smiled and tighten his grip on the bluenette.

     "Enough bonding and let's find a way to get out of this forest. I feel nasty with the mosquitoes around me." Uta says as he readjust his bangs.
     Mikan hummed, "I need to be baptized once again."
The group of four began joking around and enjoying the moment. Shu still had his arm on Valt's back and he seemed to be pulling the omega closer to him anytime Valt would be a few inches away. The friendly gesture of the alpha devil made the omega angel feel safe and comforted.

I hope to visit them again after the mission ends.

I hope to update Sweeter than cake tomorrow, but unfortunately it's still on writers block for now.
