"What did you do over there?" Jack asked me. I glanced at him. "Nothing that concerns you."

He tilted his head, half a grin on his face. "C'mon, you can tell me." Jack nudged me. I tried to glare at him angrily, but I ended up laughing at his stupidity.

I did that a lot. I guess I just enjoy stupidity.

"Asha, you didn't do anything that will draw attention to us, did you?" Blake asked over his shoulder. I shrugged. "The only person it should draw attention to is Bianca..." I paused, confused. I didn't know that.

Blake raised his eyebrows at me. I grinned sheepishly.

"How do you know that?" He asked me. "I-I just do, alright?"

Blake sneered at me. "'I just do!'" He mocked. "Hey, back off." Jack growled, stepping closer to Blake.

Blake laughed. "What are you going to do, big man? Cut yourself?"

The silence that followed Blake's statement was scary. It was the kind of silence that presses on your ears so hard it feels like your head is about to explode.

While Jack and Blake stared at each other, I noticed something. A pale, shimmering person had materialized next to me. It took me a moment to realize who it was. She was covered in dirt. Her hair was matted and disgusting. It occurred to me that I probably looked no better.

"Bianca?" I asked, my voice shaking with disbelief.

Bianca blinked and looked at me. She nodded once. As she moved her image seemed to disappear in places, like watching TV with a bad connection.

I looked back and Jack and Blake and found that they weren't moving. They were both frozen with shocked looks on their faces.

"A-sh-a!" Bianca yelled, her voice seemed disconnected. "L-ok a-t me!"

I turned toward her. Instantly, she became a bit clearer. He voice wasn't as staticky. "What are you doing here?" I asked, tilting my head. "I mean, don't get me wrong, I'm happy to see you-even if you are...staticky and weird-but why? Why am I seeing you? Are you okay?"

Bianca nodded. "I'm okay...but not everyone...is..." Now her voice was out of sync with her lips and extremely slow, which I found very annoying. I hated it when that happened. It made me want to throw my phone across the room whenever I watched videos.

"There are other people with you too? I guess those visions really were real..." I said, kind of surprised. Bianca nodded. "We found Jay-Asha focus o-n me, plea-se." Her voice started to skip again. I quickly focused my thoughts on her.

"You found Jay? Where was he?" My voice rose in excitement. To be completely honest, I had forgotten about him. Now I was glad that he was found again.

"Dead." Bianca replied. Her voice was so broken it physically hurt me to listen to it. "Dead? How did he die?"

"There are monsters out there, Asha. They raided our camp to take demigods and harness our power."

"How the Hades is that even possible?" I snapped. Bianca shrugged. Her eyes were dull. They tried to take it away from me. Tommy and Leah and Thalia saved me."

"Wait, wait, wait." I held up both hands and motioned to my twin to stop talking. "Who's Leah?"

"A Huntress." Bianca answered. I nodded. A grin was spreading across my face. Bianca looked at me sharply. "What are you thinking?"

"Well, my dear sister, I'm thinking that Tommy is with you by fate." I shot her a wicked glance. Bianca stared at me. "So just like you and Jack, I suppose?" She asked me sassily.

I guess I looked taken aback, because Bianca laughed so loudly, her entire image shook. "I bet your weren't expecting that one, were you?" She said. I shook my head.

I blushed a little and changed the subject. "So what's this whole thing about monsters and powers?" I questioned. Bianca sighed. Her eyes immediately became sadder. Suddenly, I wished I hadn't changed the subject at all.

"I don't know how they're doing it, Asha. One of them picked me up and almost killed me just by...holding me. It's scary to have to life sucked out of you like that."

"I'm sure it is." I agreed sympathetically. "Is that why you...summoned me? Because you wanted to let me know that there are monsters running around sucking up our powers?"

Bianca shook her head. "I wanted to talk to you about Jay, actually. Do you know if there's a way that can bring him back?"

I blinked. "Bianca...once he's dead he's dead. You can't bring him back."
"But it wasn't his time."
"I know that but-"
"Hades has to let him go."
"Bianca-"
"He has to-"

Suddenly, Bianca disappeared. I stared at the spot where she had been only a moment before. Nothing.

I blinked.

Now I was looking up at a blue sky.

"HOLY HADES!" I yelped.

Before you ask, yes I censored out a different word with "Hades".

I guess you didn't really need to know that.

"Asha!" Jack shouted as I sat bolt upright. I felt my head whack into something. Jack stumbled backwards, holding his nose. "Ow." He said, his voice muffled. "Ow ow. That hurts. Ow."

"Sorry!" I said. Blake walked over to me and tilted my chin up. He shone a flashlight in my eyes. I blinked.

He clicked off the flashlight. "On the bright side, she doesn't have a concussion." Blake informed us.

I raised my eyebrows. "Why would I have a concussion?"
"Well, Jack has such a hard head, you see."

"It was my nose, thank you very much." Jack muttered, getting awkwardly to his feet and glaring at Blake.

"What happened?" I asked. "Are you two like, buddies again or...?"

Blake tilted his head. "Why wouldn't we be?" He asked. I stared at him like he was crazy. "Because...well..."

"Listen, Ms. Faint-A-Lot," Jack said. "I asked what you did back at the Church and you went along and passed out on me. So Blake and I just stood here and waited for you to wake up. Now, please explain to us why the Princess lost consciousness, because I find it pretty inconvenient whenever you do."

I glared at him. "First of all, don't call me Ms. Faint-A-Lot." I ordered. "Second, Bianca and I had a quick conversation through our weird twin powers-"
"Sweet..." Blake muttered.
"-and she gave me some pretty sucky news." I finished.

"Oh really? And what did this bad news consist of?" Jack asked me.

"Well, the first problem is that there are monsters running around like gorillas on crack sucking the power out of demigods.

And the second thing is Jay is dead."
