"The theories about the Seoul murders popularly known as the 'Seoul Nights Murders' have taken quite a dramatic turn as the opposition leader Choi Jo-Won makes serious allegations against the government pointing out how they have been slacking. He further added that the government could be behind the murders as a way to take the attention of the people away from the recent bribery case involving some of the top officials of the cabinet. The government is yet to respond to this. Meanwhile, a group of students from SNU has been protesting in the Cheonggye Plaza demanding justice for the recent victim of the brutal murders and a student of the SNU, Ma Byul whose body was found in the Seongbuk District, mutilated. The protests have been going on for two days and the representatives are adamant about continuing it until the government responds to their questions..."

The silence felt suffocating yet no one dared to break it. Some were holding their breaths while some sat still.

The Minister however had his eyes set on the T.V screen where the news reporters were now talking about a robbery. To an outsider, he may look calm, but his officers knew better than that.
They could feel his mind churning, trying to come up with something.

"Call up the press." The Minister, a balding man of about sixty, finally spoke.

"But minister Kim-"

"And contact the President's office and arrange for a meeting."

With that he stood up from his seat, struggling a bit with his big belly, and maneuvered his way outside the conference room.

He had a lot to think about...

Cameras flashed in Minister Kim Il-Kook's eyes as he walked to the podium placed in the middle of the small platform. The media was separated from him by a barrier of a few security guards.

Questions were thrown at him rapidly as soon as he took his place to address the crowd.
He didn't answer them, Instead, he motioned for them to stop, and eventually, the chatter died down.

"The Seoul Nights Murders were tragic. The nation mourns for the victims, which included three of the bravest officers of the Seoul Police Force." The minister started with no emotion. "We've all been very disturbed by these brutal murders and I understand your concerns. The government has taken up measures to find the culprit and bring them to justice and for that, we've formed a special team consisting of a few of our efficient officers. Please have patience and follow the norms that the government has formulated to follow during these times of uncertainty. The best we can do until the culprit is found is to prevent anything that could potentially get you in trouble. The protests or the mob attacks aren't going to help any of us in any way other than cause more damages. Kindly understand the situations before acting out recklessly." He paused for a moment, running his eyes over the crowd before continuing. "Further information regarding this will be found in the ministry's website where you can find the norms to follow during this time. That's all. Thank you."

The room erupted in loud questions yet again, but the minister paid no mind as he walked out beside his P.A, surrounded by his bodyguards.

"Won't it alert the killer, Minister Kim?" The P.A, a rather young man asked as he followed the other to the car.

"It could."
The minister shrugged without a worry.
"But this would shut up the media and the protestors for a while. At least until the elections."
