"It's going to a good home," a young girl reassured him with a kind smile.
"I know," he replied before picking up the bear and carefully giving it to her. It was getting old and worn, with stitching across one ear where his mother sewed it back on when he was a little boy. The girl gave the bear a gentle squeeze before saying "Thank you Mr!"

He smiled at her, and watched as she walked away happily cuddling the bear.
