Y/N POV

I was walking through the streets is of downtown in my comfy black trench, allowing myself to take a small and short break from my job of hunting and reaping the lives of supernatural beings who hold a desire to bring harm upon humans. While I was walking and enjoying the nice cool winds, a girl bumped into me.

Hibari: AH! Sorry! I didn't mean to run into you! I'm in a rush! *Runs off*

Yagyū: *Running after her* Hibari! Wait up!

Y/N: ...

Mori: *Appears as an apparition while pulling Y/N into the spirit realm* Shinobi.

Y/N: Good shinobi as well... Without a doubt Hanzo Girls.

Mori: So what do you think the best course of action is?

Y/N: *Continues walking* Leave them be. We'll see them soon enough and they're not a threat, especially Hibari. The other girl, Yagyū? She's more skilled as a shinobi, yes, but her biggest flaw seems to be Hibari.

Mori: And what makes you say that?

Y/N: She's overly protective of her. As a result, Hibari isn't really being properly trained as a shinobi.

Mori: Good answers. Let's head back now.

Y/N: *Summons Calliope's scythe, which she gifted to him after he managed to "kill" her in a fight* Right.

I spun the scythe above my head until it reached the appropriate speed that I needed before unleashing a powerful slash through the air, creating a tear in reality which would serve as a portal. As Mori faded away, I walked through the tear and emerged at a seemingly abandoned shrine high up in a forested mountaintop.

Y/N: *Returning to the realm of the living* Home sweet home...

Mori: {Indeed. Go get some rest, deadbeat.}

Y/N: Yes, ma'am.

I walked inside and immediately headed towards my bedroom and changed into lighter clothes before crawling into my bed and fell asleep almost immediately.

Asuka POV

I was in Hanzo Academy's ninja room, chatting with my fellow classmates. We were all excited and somewhat nervous as we've just learned that we were getting a new student to join our class but the student in question was a male, which would be strange since it's always been us five girls.

Asuka: So what do you think he's going to be like?

Ikaruga: Who knows? I'm more concerned about the possible... uhh... well... problems that might arise from our newest classmate being of the opposite sex... B-But I'm not trying to make any ill assumptions!

Katsuragi: Heheh~, I'm certainly not concerned~. I wonder if he's cute~.

Yagyū: I'm not bothered about it, so long as he doesn't cause trouble for us on purpose...

Hibari: I'm sure he'll be fine! He can't be that bad if he's a good shinobi right~!

Asuka: *Smiles* Hibari's Right. We haven't even met him yet, but I'm sure he'll be a welcomed member of our group!

Suddenly, a smoke bomb rolled into the room and exploded, causing us to cough at the old shinobi tool. To no surprise, our teacher, Kiriya, appeared in the room.

Kiriya: Good morning, girls. I'm sure you all know that you'll be getting a new classmate and I'm sure you're all aware that they are male. I understand if this might upset one of you, but I simply ask that you give him a chance.

Ikaruga: Don't worry, Sensei. I'm sure we'll be just fine with his presence.

Yagyū: No issues here... unless he tries to hurt Hibari...

Hibari: Why would he hurt me? We're in the same class now!

Asuka: I'm actually very excited for this! A little nervous since it's a guy, but this will definitely be exciting!

Katsuragi: Oh, I'm DEFINITELY~ excited alright~! But uhh... where is he?

Kiriya: He said he'll be able to find this place on his own. I don't know when-

???: *Puts hand on Kiriya's shoulder, making him jump in surprise* I'm here.

Kiriya: Oh Shi-! Bloody hell! *Calms down* I suppose you followed me here. Am I correct, Y/N?

Y/N: No. I got here about 15 minutes ago.

Ikaruga: *Shocked* That... can't be.

Asuka: W-We got here only 10 minutes ago!

Katsuragi: *Laughs* We know it's your first day but there's no need to make yourself sound cool, hotshot~!

Y/N: I did get here 15 minutes ago. There are plenty of shortcuts around the school campus. All of them are different lengths on purpose. As a result, I did a bit of surveying of the school before the school opened for the day and memorized the entire place. I snuck out of class five minutes before the bell since I had completed the homework. I then took the quickest route here... *Points to a perfect spot to hide* And I hid there until you all arrived.

All the girls: ...

Ikaruga: Oh my god, you actually did beat us here...

Hibari: AH! It's you! I'm so sorry about running into yesterday!

Y/N: It's fine, no harm no foul. Anyways, My name Y/N. I look forward to working alongside you five.

Asuka: Hi! I'm Asuka!

Ikaruga: I'm Ikaruga. It's a pleasure to meet your acquaintance, Y/N.

Katsuragi: I'm Katsuragi, hotsho~!

Hibari: Hii~! I'm Hibari~! I hope we can be good friends.

Yagyū: Yagyū. I look forward to working with you.

Y/N then bowed respectfully to us before walking over to a wall and leaning back against it as Kiriya began to explain more about the school. Once he was done, Kiriya threw another smoke and told us to take the rest of the day to get to know each other, but the very moment the smoke bomb exploded, all the smoke dissipated by Y/N by him slashing his hand through the smoke.

Hibari: Whoooaahh~! How'd you do that?!

Y/N: It's a long forgotten technique that my grandfather taught me before he passed away. Anyways, let's get to know each other like Kiriya told us to do.

With that, Y/N sat down near us and we began to chat about random things, asking Y/N many questions, which he answered honestly, which made me happy to know he was trustworthy.
