Happy Ending
It was after school, and Fallon was nowhere near ready to confess to Noah, but what choice did she have? If she didn't confess today, she would lose him forever. She took a deep breath as she left her classroom and headed towards the blossom tree from the legend.
Fallon ran as fast as she could to the confession tree, and was relieved when she saw no one underneath it. She leaned on the tree, catching her breath and keeping an eye on the area by the school. She stood up and waited for Noah to arrive, hoping he would arrive before the mystery girl did. She couldn't kill the mystery girl if she arrived first, as she would have no time to destroy evidence. All she could really do was anxiously wait for Noah's arrival.
After what seemed like forever, she could see a silhouette of a boy running towards the tree. It took Fallon a moment to realise it was Noah. She took a deep breath, hoping to calm her nerves. He saw her under the tree, and waved as he reached the top of the small hill that the tree stood on top of.
"Fallon? You're the one who wanted to meet me here?" He asked, his voice a mixture of curiosity and confusion. Her cheeks blushed redder with every step he took towards her.
"Yes." She managed to spit out as she tried not to let her nerves show in her voice. Her heart was pounding, it felt as though it would burst out of her chest.
"Well, what did you want to say to me?" He asked, looking into her eyes. She took another deep breath, internally praying to every known god she wouldn't mess this moment up. After all, it was the moment every action she made since starting at Adelaine high school had lead up to this moment.
"Noah. Ever since I first laid eyes on you, I had feelings for you." That sounded ok to her. She looked down, her cheeks redder than all the blood she'd spilled. "I never felt anything until I laid eyes on you. You make me a better person." That was a blatant lie. She had done so many illegal things because of him, but it wasn't like she was going to tell him that. "What I'm trying to say is..." She took a breath. This was the moment she truly confessed her feelings to him. "I love you." She looked down at her shoes, her heart skipping every other beat.
"I never knew you felt this way." His voice was unreadable to Fallon, making fear run through her bones. What if he rejected her? She wouldn't be able to live if he said he didn't feel the same. He placed his hand under her chin and lifted it up so she was looking at him. Their eyes made eye contact, becoming lost in the moment. "I accept your feelings Fallon." She felt a small tear of relief filling up in her eye, but refused to let it fall.
"Really?" She asked in a voice barely above a whisper. She didn't want this to be a joke. She had to be sure.
"Really." He nodded his head. A smile crept across her face, her eyes lighting up. A smile had broken across his face too. "Will you be my girlfriend Fallon?" These were the words Fallon had been dreaming of. This moment was what she had wanted ever since she laid eyes on Noah.
"Yes." She nearly shouted, throwing her arms around Noah. He laughed and put his arms around his new girlfriend.
"Love you." Fallon said, her voice muffled by her face pressed against his chest.
"I love you too." He replied, letting her out of the hug and putting her hands in his. He leaned in and gave her a kiss. Fallon didn't hesitate to kiss back. This was her first kiss, and she was delighted it was with him. She never felt happier. She had finally won the heart of her Senpai.
