Stolen Ring
Fallon lay on the sofa staring at the TV. She had finished shopping and returned home. James had helped her carry her shopping home, but left straight after. Her relationship with James was really weird. Did he know that she knew that he likes her? Surely he'd caught on by now. She sighed, as she hated not knowing.
The next day, Fallon waited for her opportunity to place her ring in Penelope's bag. She would need to have no witnesses, or allow Penelope to have an alibi. They would need to be alone together. She could see Penelope head to the bathroom alone. Fallon saw her opportunity and took it.
In the bathroom, Fallon could see Penelope head into one of the stalls. Fallon also headed into one as she didn't want to look suspicious. She stood in a position that would look normal from outside. Fallon took the ring out of her bag and put it on her finger. She waited until she could hear the toilet flush, and went outside. She took off the ring and put it next to the tap as she quickly washed her hands. As she was about to dry them, she could see Penelope washing her hands next to her. Afterwards, she could see Penelope head for the dryer. She had left her bag by the sink. Fallon quickly took the ring from the sink and put it into Penelope's bag without being caught. She quickly left the bathroom.
Back at the classroom, the only one in the room was Penelope. Everything was going to plan. Fallon had deliberately gone to meet Victoria and Luna that morning, so Penelope could get to class first. That would make it easier to frame Penelope. She opened her desk to put away her notebook before lunch, and headed to the guidance counsellors office.
Fallon sat in the guidance counsellors office, crying fake tears. She was putting on an act to make her story more believable. She dabbed at a tear with a tissue.
"Miss. Someone stole my ring. It's really precious to me. It was from my mum." She let out a sob as the guidance counsellor handed her the box of tissues. Fallon took one and blew her nose into it. The guidance counsellor nodded once.
"Where did you last have the ring?" Fallon wiped away another tear. She was really good at the fake crying thing. She couldn't tell the whole truth, but she knew she could manipulate it enough to make herself seem like a victim.
"I took it off for a second to wash my hands. I put it on my bag, but it was gone when I got back." The guidance counsellor stood up after making notes. She ushered Fallon out of the door once she'd stopped crying, promising to find her missing ring.
It was still lunchtime when Fallon left the guidance counsellors office, so she decided to make the best of it. After all, Penelope would be finished here permanently by the end of the day. Fallon decided to find Hana, spend some time with her friends.
