Fallon stopped, staring at the figure under the tree. She was close enough to see it was Noah. She would've kept on going, but she was stopped by the person who stepped out from behind the blossom tree. It was Leanne. Fallon was close enough to hear every word, and felt a knife going in to her back with every one.
"Noah... I... Uhh..." Leanne stuttered on her words. Noah took his hand and placed it on her shoulder comfortingly. She smiled, then looked down at the ground. "Noah. I have feelings for you. I don't know how to describe them." He smiled and pulled her into a small comforting hug.
"Just say it. I promise I won't judge." He pulled away and smiled at her. She smiled back and took a deep breath. They were both unaware that they were both being watched by Fallon. Tears were forming in her eyes as she felt several more knives being stabbed into her back. She wanted to run to them. She wanted to stop her. She wanted to hurt her. She wanted to kill her. She had promised Fallon that she would stay away from Noah, so why was she trying to steal her senpai from her?
"Here. I wrote it down." She put her bag down and pulled out an envelope. She passed it to Noah, who opened it and read the letter. Fallon assumed it was a love letter, what else could it be? They were under the tree from the legend, and Fallon knew that Leanne liked Noah. She was also being awkward, like she wanted to confess her feelings. He finished the letter, then looked Leanne in the eyes.
"Wow. I didn't know you felt this way." This was it. Fallon prayed he would reject her, that he would see her and confess his love to her instead. "I love you too." Those words. Those were the words that shattered Fallon. He pulled Leanne into a kiss, and Fallon had never felt so hurt and betrayed. She wanted to scream. She had lost her senpai. She felt the tears streaming down her face. This was the ultimate betrayal. She let out a loud sob, then turned around and ran away.

She ran to Isabel's private room in the school, tears still streaming down her face. Many students asked if she was ok as she ran, noticing her tears. She couldn't answer them, she didn't want to answer them. She slammed her fist into the door, and Isabel opened it seconds later.
"She confessed." Fallon sobbed, falling into Isabel's arms. Isabel closed the door, then pulled Fallon into a comforting hug.
"Oh Fallon. I'm so sorry." Isabel began to stroke Fallon's hair comfortingly until she pulled away and sat down on the floor. She looked at the bracelet with the heart charm on her wrist. It was the bracelet Noah had given her at Christmas. She took it off and threw it away from her.
"I feel so hurt right now." The tears wouldn't stop falling down her cheeks.
"I know sweetie." Isabel obviously wasn't the comforting type, but she tried her best for the girl she now considered her best friend. She also sat down on the floor after picking up the bracelet and holding on to it out of Fallon's sight. Fallon sat back and searched her bag for something. She pulled out a pocket knife and handed it to Isabel.
"Please, just do it." She looked up to the ceiling, and ran her finger across her neck. "It hurts so bad. I want out." Despair ran through her body, as she believed any hope for her and Noah to be together was gone. She had never been betrayed this badly before. The betrayal should've been the worst, but nothing was worse than losing her senpai. She let out a loud sob and closed her eyes, letting more tears fall down her cheeks. Isabel looked at the knife in her hand, then at Fallon. "Please." Fallon's voice was barely above a whisper, filled with sadness. "Make the pain go away." Isabel shook her head and put the knife down. She put her arms around a shaking Fallon and said 2 words into her ear.
"I can't."
