Promise
Leanne looked at the floor a little upset. Stay away from Noah, the boy she had a crush on? But why? She looked back at Fallon as she continued.
"It's just... I have feelings for him. I really like him, there isn't anything I wouldn't do for him. I know I'm being selfish, but please, stay away from him."
"Well..." Leanne looked at the floor. "I mean, you did help my dad..." She paused for a moment, contemplating. "Ok. I'll stay away from him." She sighed, realising she was giving up the one she loved for someone else. She had gotten her father out of debt, obviously she was someone that shouldn't be messed with.
"Thank you." Fallon smiled, realising it had worked. She had gotten rid of a rival just by asking her to stay away. She knew this probably wouldn't work for any more, as it would catch on that Fallon had feelings for Noah. She didn't want that. It would mean someone could get with Noah solely so she couldn't have him. She didn't want him to know of her feelings either, she didn't want it to be weird for him and her if he rejected her. She didn't want them to have a relationship like the one she had with James.
An hour later, Fallon was alone in her fathers office. Leanne had left shortly after promising to stay away from Noah. Fallon was doing some research on the Aluna island trip. It was a 3 week trip. They took a luxury cruise ship there and back, with each way taking about 5 days. Fallon hoped her parents would be home soon so they could sign the permission slips for her to go. She had already spoken to Hana, Sophia and Mari, who had all said they were going. Fallon really wanted to go, as she knew that Noah would be going. She hoped for a little holiday romance that would turn into a forever relationship. It would be a change of scenery from this boring town to a beautiful island away from all her crimes. Away from everything she had done since starting Adelaine high school. Away from her psychotic side.
Fallon sat in class the next day. The teacher was talking about the field trip, going over the do's and don'ts. She looked over to Sophia, who was equally as bored as she was. Fallon knew everything the teacher was on about, it was basically the same wherever you went. Fallon honestly didn't care. If her parents didn't sign the permission slip, she wouldn't be allowed to go. The trip was a month away, at least the students didn't have to pay for it. The permission slips were due in next Friday, which was a week away. Fallon didn't know if her parents would be home in the week, she really hoped they would be. She needed the time away, she needed the time to forget everything she had done in the name of love.
