Playing With Poison
Early Saturday morning, Noah and Fallon went out to get breakfast together. They sat in McDonalds together eating their pancakes and syrup and hash browns. Fallon was on cloud 9, spending time alone with Noah is all she wanted.
"This was really nice. Thank you for being my date last night." Noah said as she smiled at him, and put some pancake into her mouth. She finished eating it before she replied.
"No. Thank you for being my date. It was so much better with you than alone." She gave him a shy smile, a small blush creeping across her cheeks. He made a small laugh, then they continued eating in silence.
Monday, Fallon stood at her locker looking at the small vial that had been placed inside. She picked it up and looked at the DO NOT CONSUME note that had been attached. She flipped it over and read what had been written on it. This substance had some interesting effects when consumed by rivals. She smiled and put the vial into a small pocket in the lining of her bag, making sure no one saw it. She guessed that Isabel had left it for her, and she immediately caught on to Isabel's idea.
She sat in the canteen with her friends at lunch. She could see Ashley giving her dirty looks from across the table. She obviously had seen Fallon and Noah together at the dance on Friday, or at McDonalds the next morning. Fallon didn't care though. She was one step closer to making Noah hers. Ashley needed to accept that Fallon was going to be with Noah, not her. Fallon looked around the dining room, and caught a girl staring at Noah. That was not acceptable. The girl turned away from her food to talk to her friends. Nobody was even looking in Fallon's direction or at the girls food. That was the perfect opportunity for Fallon to act. She pulled out the vial of transparent substance from her bag and emptied it all over her food. She put the lid back on the vial and put it back into her bag without being caught.
She waited patiently for the girl to turn back around and eat her food. When she did, Fallon watched for the 'interesting effects' Isabel had promised on the label. She could hear a loud choking from the girls direction, as did everyone else in the canteen. Some ran out to get teachers or the nurse, some ran over to the girl, everyone else stepped back to give her space. The girl had fallen to the floor, and was struggling to breathe. Eventually, her chest stopped rising and falling, and her face had taken a blue tinge. She was dead. Fallon ran out of the room with some of the other students. She needed to destroy the vial and any evidence that she had poisoned the girl. She couldn't get caught after the progress she had made with Noah. She couldn't let him hate her.
