At Fallon's old school, teachers would place a flower on the desk of students who had died. Placing a flower on the desk of someone who's still alive was considered bullying. It meant 'I wish you were dead' or 'You're dead to me'. Fallon decided to try this out on Lacey. She chose a large daisy, and made a tag saying 'I wish you dead'. She had typed the note, so handwriting couldn't be linked to her. She didn't want to get expelled, as Noah would never love her if she'd been expelled. She tied the note to the vase containing the daisy, then added a small amount of water. She wanted to get in early the next day so she could place the flower on Lacey's desk without being asked questions. She texted Isabel, asking what class Lacey was in and where her desk was in the room. She then turned off her light and went to sleep.

Fallon looked into the classroom. It was empty, just what she wanted. This was the classroom Isabel had told her. She went inside and located Lacey's desk. She placed the flower on the desk then quickly snuck out of the room. She didn't get caught, which was a relief.
Lacey walked into class and saw a flower on her desk. She thought everyone hated her. She saw the note that was attached, and read it. She let out a sob. Whoever left this on her desk actually wanted her dead. Part of her wished she'd actually done it the night before. This was horrible and she wanted it to end.

At lunch, Lacey went to meet Kassie by her locker. Kassie looked at the floor like she was about to cry. She hadn't spoken to anyone since yesterday. She hadn't wanted to speak to Lacey, and Elle had been arrested for Maddy's death. She felt so alone.
"Just... Leave me alone... Please." She said quietly to Lacey. She was the last person Kassie wanted to see. Lacey looked at her in a confused sadness. Why did this have to happen? Did Kassie believe the lies?
"KASSIE WHAT THE HELL?" Emotion surged through her body. A mixture of anger, sadness, confusion and guilt. "WERE MEANT TO BE BEST FRIENDS." By this point everyone had turned to look at Lacey screaming at Kassie. "YOU'RE MEANT TO BE ON MY SIDE, NOT TURNING AGAINST ME!" A tear fell from Kassie's eye. Why was Lacey screaming at her?
"Please just go." She said quietly, trying not to sob. Lacey looked at her, then left.

At the end of the day, Lacey went back to her locker like normal. Only this time she'd had a fight with Kassie who hadn't done anything wrong. She sighed and looked at her locker. She opened her locker, and a bunch of small pieces of paper fell out. She picked up a few that read:
Kill yourself
You should die
I wish you'd die
You're dead to me
Slut
I dare you to jump off a bridge
Go kill yourself - from the whole class
She looked at the notes and began to cry. Everyone wanted her dead. She couldn't live like this anymore. She needed a way out.
