Senpai 64

From all the books I've read, and all the movies I've seen, and the hearsay from girls at school, I always thought that first dates were supposed to be awkward.

My first date with Nicholas? It wasn't.

In fact, it was a lot of fun.

Conversation flowed naturally, and I learnt a lot about him- and Jade.

Nicholas' father married Jade's mother when Nicholas and Jade were five. Until then, the Morgan's lived in New Zealand but after the marriage, Nicholas and his father moved to Perth.

"So, that's not an Australian accent?" I asked, slightly confused.

"No, it is," Nicholas smiles. "My Kiwi accent got lost sometime around 2008."

"Oh," I say, feeling slightly silly. "What made you move from Australia to rainy Britain?"

Mr. Morgan, Nicholas' father, is a rugby coach and had recently been hired to coach the London Rebels, meaning the Campbell-Morgan family moved over ten thousand miles away from home.

Jade and Nicholas consider each other brother and sister, which is in a sharp contrast to Miles and I. I've only ever heard Miles refer to me as his sister a handful of times, and each time was plain weird to hear.

Nicholas is athletic, having played on the Schoolboys team in Australia, and he aspires to be a professional rugby player in the future. Because of his dual nationality between New Zealand and Australia, he had the option to play for both teams.

"So, which shirt will you be pulling on?" I ask, quirking my eyebrow at him. "Gold of Australia or black of New Zealand?"

He's leaning more towards the All Blacks.
