Archie and I spent most of the evening talking about random stuff, although Archie was more interested in knowing which I preferred- 90s theme, or a Sweet Sixteenth.

It became obvious, as the night wore on, that Archie was here under Jade's orders as her Trojan Horse, her spy, her inside man.

Call him whatever you want, but Archie's motives were clear.

Or at least they were to me.

Miles and Will, however, were in the dark about what Archie and I were doing, and every now and then my bedroom door would swing open, revealing the two boys stood there. They'd peer in with their narrowed eyes, scrutinize my and Archie's position on the bed, and frown.

"Move away from my sister," Miles would growl. It made me nervous that Miles called me his 'sister', because he'd never done so before. In all the years we'd been step-siblings, Miles had made sure to never refer to me as his sister. "If I find out that you defiled my sister, I will hunt you down and kill you."

Archie laughed. "Unless your sister is a mister," he said, giving me a sideways glance. "I'm not interested. If it wasn't already obvious, I'm gay."
