I don't work on Sundays.

The coffee shop is usually quiet enough that they don't need Jade and I to work.

Charlie and Archie usually do the Sunday shifts so us girls can have some down time.

Jade came over to my house- to plan the party she's insisting that I have- and we sat at the dining room table, scrolling through Pinterest, looking for ideas for outfits, decorations and party games.

That's when Miles and Will walked in.

Upon seeing Jade- her long dark hair, dark eyes, and dark skin- the boys stopped.

"Well, hello, gorgeous," Miles put on his best smarmy smile. It was revolting and had me metaphorically reaching for a sick bucket. "I'm Miles, and the pleasure is all mine."

Jade shot me an amused look, but said nothing. Instead, her eyes wandered to Will and suddenly she frowned. "Who are you?"

"Will," he said simply, never taking his eyes off Jade.

Both boys had noticed Jade, and yet, I was still invisible.
