Before school:
Woke up a bit later than I would've like and left a bit later too at 6:50. I picked up my friends and stopped at the gas station. The gas station has some new jalapeño popper type rolls that are so good so I got two of those and a bottle of baja blast. Breakfast of champions right there. The lady who rung me out was super nice. Then we went and sat in the school parking lot watching adult dora videos on tik tok. 

Period 1:
We outlined our hands and wrote our names and our future occupation. We then worked on simple graphs to make sure we knew how to graph parabolas, absolute values, and square roots. So we can get extra credit by going up to the board and solving problems, we get the points even if we get the question wrong. Those points are then put on our lowest test score but I don't think I'll go up there. Got another page of my newest book idea done. 

Period 2:
We worked on the career cluster thing, again... I've done them about 7 times now so I should know what clusters I'm in. I have Health science, human services, and then agriculture. No surprise there. We then spent the rest of class working on the word search and then the teacher talked for a little about the club the district wants to implement into our health science classes. I would join but the teacher doesn't know much about it so she said we would do more things in it next year but I'll be graduated. Plus I'm already in a club, a service class, the bowling team, and I have a job so I don't know if I'd even be able to juggle another club where I'd have to take time out of school to attend. 

Lunch:
Just another 30 minutes to read. I don't eat food at school for a couple reasons. 1- it's usually gross. 2- I don't think the food is worth paying that much for. 3- I usually only eat one meal a day, usually at work or nothing at all but maybe a snack or two. 4- the cafeteria it's self is way too crowded and noisy to sit in and it gives me anxiety especially since I don't know anyone in the lunch period.

Period 3:

The question of the day was would we rather be a merperson or a dragon. I obviously chose a dragon. I love dragons. and it has nothing to due with being ace. I litterally wrote a book about dragons lol. We did a bell ringer which was just highlighting a passage- one color for long sentences and another color for short sentence- and then bolding/ circling any punctuation. We then did a word search challenge to review the new vocab in the book we're gonna read. The same girl who won the orange competition won the word search. We then looked at a picture of a giant bug in a bed and talked about what we saw, what we thought, and questions we had about the picture. I think Metamorphosis sounds like a pretty interesting book tbh. We then played something like 4 corners-ish. Each corner was labeled with strongly agree, agree, disagree, and strongly disagree. There were only few questions but people had vastly different ways of thinking. One question was should physical and mental illnesses be treated with the same seriousness? I strongly agree with that in saying like physical illnesses, mental illnesses shouldn't be looked down upon and ignored. Everyone should be able to get help for every kind of illness and injury. 

Period 4:
I got the rest of my packet done and turned in. and then signed out and went to my volunteer assignment at the food ministries. I left school at 1:25 and got there at 1:40 so it's not a bad drive at all. Although it is likely that I might get stuck in traffic occasionally for wrecks and stuff considering I do live in a tourist area and it's a fairly busy road. But thankfully, tourist season is almost done for the season. I helped hand out food today. I was in charge of cheerios, mac n' cheese, and spaghetti. I know some of the people that come in on Mondays now. There's this one guy who says people's shoes are untied and then say he made them look. He did it to our blind volunteer today and he said "I still made you look" everyone had a good laugh. Then one of the volunteers came up to me and persuaded me to go eat lunch so I did. She is so nice. Lunch was a nice spicy sausage jambalaya, cornbread, and someone brought in homemade cookies. So I guess when I don't have work I can eat there because the local goat (a really good restaurant around here) donates food. And then we also get ice cream at 3, at least on Mondays. I left a little after four once I got my paper signed by the coordinator. 

After school:
I talked to my mom on my way home since she is a volunteer nurse and we're in completely different time zones. I live in Tennessee and she's in Alaska rn. There was a wreck at the gas station across from the school, it was in opposite lanes so my side of the road only got backed up from people being nosy. There were two firetrucks, a cop, and an ambulance (I saw the ambulance go past the food ministries on my way out). I got home and was so excited to see my package from Temu arrived. I may have a problem with buying stickers (I don't have a problem, I have a collection). I also got a little axolotl with a sunflower for my friend (it was her birthday a few days ago, literally on the second day of school lol) and also a white stuffed plague doctor with a glowing lantern. Another thing I am totally not obsessed with, plague doctors. But plague doctor stickers? absolutely perfect.

My friend loves sunflowers. She's obsessed with them like I am to plague doctors lol. I think she'll like is and I also got a few sunflower stickers for her as well. I'm gonna give them to her in the morning on the way to school.
