Civil war within the family
"What are they arguing about?" Elara asked her brother, seeing Zarkon and Ranveig bickering with each other.
"They're arguing over who's Capella's favorite uncle." Sendak sighed, little one year old Capella was standing next to his leg, clinging to it.
"Really? Do they not know the truth?" She gasped.
"Apparently not." Sendak snickered.
"There's no way you're her favorite! All you do is complain about every child here, including my own children!" Zarkon growled.
"Because your children are little devils!" Ranveig yelled.
Zarkon gasped and Elara cracked her knuckles.
"Oh hell no..." Elara growled under her breath.
"WHAT DID YOU SAY?!" Zarkon raged, eyes shining purple in fury.
"Your. Kids. Are. Little. Devils." Ranveig said, not scared at all.
Ranveig turned to his right heading aggressive low growls and saw Elara, nostrils flaring, eyes glowing purple, browned furrowed, tail slowly swaying from side to side, and ears pinned down. Ranveig nearly shit himself when she growled at him, he guessed she heard what he said. Out of nowhere, she snapped and bitch slapped him across the face. He gave Zarkon a look of terror and shock.
"Exactly what you deserve..." Zarkon snickered wickedly.
"Never, ever, call my children devils again, because the next time it will be even worse for." She threatened.
"Mhm...." Ranveig said, shuddering in fear.
"Haha wimp..." Zarkon chuckled.
"And you!" She suddenly hissed at Zarkon.
"Please don't hurt me!" He shrieked and cowered from her.
"Stop taking part in these stupid arguments." She said seriously.
"Ok... but I won anyway." Zarkon said with a scoff.
"Neither of you won anything, your entire argument is depressingly irrelevant." She spat.
"Don't you use your large vocabulary with me young lady!" Zarkon hissed.
"Young? She's old as hell!" Ranveig scoffed.
"I'll hurt you if you say another word about her, your spine will be stuck in your throat." Zarkon threatened.
"Big talk..." Ranveig mumbled.
"Neither of you are Capella's favorite..." Elara said.
"That's true." Sendak chimed in.
"What!?" Zarkon and Ranveig gasped.
"See for yourselves." Sendak said with an amused scoff and knelt down to little Capella.
"Daddy needs to go do something who do you want to stay with?" Sendak asked the tiny infant, who took a moment before waddling straight to Elara or the one she likes to call...
"Lala!" She squealed happily and reached up at her favorite aunt, who gladly picked her up and held her little niece.
"Anything to say?" Elara asked Ranveig and Zarkon, whose jaws were gaping open in shock.
"Can you two divorce for a day please?" Ranveig asked.
"What did you say?" Zarkon growled, slowly turning to Ranveig.
"Don't you dare brawl in front of the baby, or else." Elara hissed. Cressida walked in at the perfect time.
"Elara can you take back your kid now, she's been whining for you this whole time- what's is going on?!" Cressida asked, seeing Ranveig and Zarkon glaring at each other with murder in their eyes.
"Well your brother said something pretty outrageous and Zarkon didn't like, so if you can, I'll take my daughter and my niece so you can talk some sense into him while I lecture the other brute." Elara said.
"Ok then but what did he say?" Cressida asked. Elara told Cressida everything and she was not at all happy. She handed Delilah to to Elara and went off on her brother,
"Are you kidding me Ranveig?! Have you learned nothing? You need to leave the woman alone, she's married and has five kids, and not to mention she's literally married to your boss!" She yelled, and then dragged him out of the room.
"I'm gonna go make sure she doesn't kill him..." Sendak said and scurried out of the room.
Elara gave Zarkon a serious face and he knew he was going to be lectured like a three year old.
"I can understand why you were mad but you can't let him get a reaction out of you so easily. Especially in front of kids. For you to give in so easily shows weakness." Elara said seriously after putting the two little girls down so she could talk to him.
"You are my weakness woman. It's not easy to keep myself calm when he brings you into the argument." Zarkon said.
"That was adorable I'm not going to lie, I'm a lot less angry now, but still you can't let him tick you off. Even if he takes a shot at me." Elara said.
"But..." Zarkon started.
"But what?" She asked.
"But I love you... I wanted to murder him right there and then for you." Zarkon admitted.
'Don't laugh, don't laugh, don't laugh, don't laugh, this is serious damn it! Don't fucking laugh!' She thought to herself.
'Don't blow it Zarkon, you're trying to get laid today, DON'T BLOW IT. DONT SAY ANYTHING WEIRD, DON'T BLOW THAT'S HER JOB!' Zarkon yelled at himself in his mind.
"Why do you have to say the most precious things but look and sound so scary?" She said with a sigh.
"That's just how I am and you like it that way." Zarkon said slyly.
"I do, mainly because I don't have any other choice but to deal with you." Elara said, grinning evilly.
"Wow... you love hurting feelings." Zarkon mumbled.
"I'm just kidding, don't cry about it." Elara chuckled.
"Whatever." Zarkon scoffed, and squeezed her into a tight hug and the two infant girls laughed at them.
"Lala! Zowzow!" Capella giggled and clapped.
"What did she call me?" Zarkon mumbled.
"She said 'Zowzow,' congratulations you have a nickname." Elara said, smiling a little.
"A dumb sounding one..." he mumbled.
"I like it." She said.
"Zowzow it is." Zarkon suddenly said.
Ranveig passed by and the two little girls saw him.
"Baldy!!" They said.
Elara and Zarkon lost their serious nature and started laughing their asses off. Ranveig screeched angrily and kept walking as Delilah and Capella giggled. These two little girls would be devious and mischievous as they grow up.
