The Galra Central Command Ship finally arrived on Daibazaal, everyone was happy to be home. Sendak noticed Elara's subtle change in behavior and was currently confronting her about it after pulling her aside.

"What's going on with you? You're more quiet and less... Yourself." He asked.

"Sendak I don't know what you're talking about." Elara said, brushing it aside.

"I know you Elara. I'm your twin brother.  You're hiding something." He snapped. Elara knew there was no point in hiding from him.

"If I tell you, you can't tell a single soul, not Zarkon, not even Cressida." Elara said seriously.

"Alright. I promise you I won't tell anyone." Sendak said.

"Alright. When we were 6 days and back to the voyage of returning here from Earth I was pulled aside into the medbay by Ulaz. He said that my quintessence levels were very very slowly deteriorating and so was my health." Elara said.

"Deteriorating? Like as in dying?" Sendak asked, he was already panicking.

"Yes. My quintessence levels are slowly deteriorating and my health is going down with it, Ulaz Said I have a maximum of 10 to 20 years of life left. You cannot tell anyone, not even your own mate. I'm not going to tell mine either." Elara explained.

"Elara you are my twin sister. It's not easy for me to hear that you have a limited amount of time to live. You and I came out of the same very tiny litter. Do you understand this will do Zarkon if he finds out. He's my best friend and you are his wife and my sister. If he finds out about this he's coming after me first." Sendak said.

"I'm not going to tell him because it's not going to be easy for him to hear. Only the gods know what he'd do. I'm not going to risk his mental stability." Elara said.

"Well you can't lie to him either. He's your significant other, you're not supposed to lie to him." Sendak said, He was genuinely lost.

"Believe me I hate to him, it kills me to lie to him like this, but it's for the best." She said. Before Sendak could say, Zarkon showed up.

"What's going on here?" He asked.

"I just pulled her aside to ask for pointers on what to get Cressida for her birthday."  Sendak said.

"Yes, he sucks at surprises." Elara said.

"Very well." Zarkon said.

"Yeah..." Sendak said.

"Then continue." Zarkon said and walked away.

"That hurt me a lot..." Sendak said.

"Oops." Elara chuckled.

"But seriously Elara. What are you going to do?" Sendak asked.

"I'm not going to tell him, I can't risk it." Elara sighed.

"Alright then. Just keep me updated." Sendak said and he walked away.

As much as it hurt her to lie about something so serious to Zarkon, She knew it would be better off that way. He nearly lost all sanity then last time she died, What would happen this time? Nothing is ever going to be easy for her from this point on.
