"Where are you going?"
"To the convenient store I go!"
"In that?"
"Can't a girl make herself prettier just for herself?"
"I'd say that they can but as for you, I don't think you'd put that much effort if you're 'just going to the convenient store'," Rose groaned and face-palmed. She did not think thoroughly of a better answer for his inspecting questions.
"I made an effort, so what?"
"Are you going out on a date?"
"Yes."
"Is it with Fudou?"
"Yep."
"Where are you going exactly?"
"Are you really going to ask more questions as I keep on saying yes?"
"Probably until I would eventually refuse to let you step out from this very house," he shrugged his shoulders as he took off the band that was holding up his messy hair into a lazy ponytail.
"Come on, nii-chan, Akio-chan has never made me cry!" he fixed his ponytail and eventually shifted his position to face her.
"Are you really waiting for that moment?" he sighed. Rose had explained countless of times that as much as he was quite a rebellious player, he was not all bad. Jirou heard all of her explanations, but he did not listen.
"You—" the door bell went off, causing an alarming tune to interrupt another rebuttal of Rose. Her brother huffed and stomped his way out to the entrance door.
"You stay here, Sakuma Rose," he flashed her a light glare before he continued out his way. She was frustrated and annoyed. She let her body fall on the living room couch as she waited for his brother's return and his irksome comments.
"There's nothing wrong with Akio-chan!" she yelled on the pillow that was initially placed next to her. She continued to talk gibberish against the innocent pillow. Of course she knew what was really going on. She knew that Akio was never in Jirou's "nice" list since day one; much more in his "somebody who can be my baby sister's boyfriend" list that would not even be filled by any human being at all.
"You can go out with your date...," astonishment took over Rose when she heard his brother's voice. She looked up from hovering her head over the pillow to see his brother looking at the television that he was watching earlier. It was obvious that he did not want to meet her gaze at this point. She got up from the couch and approached her brother. He was looking more and more uncomfortable as she slowly approached him.
"Thank you, nii-chan," she engulfed him in for a sibling hug. Those hugs that can make either one of them have a peaceful mind. She felt he stiffened at her hug but evrntually hugged her back.
"I guess he isn't all that bad," he scratched the back of his head awkwardly as he was still trying to avoid eye contact with his sister.
"Hey," she held each side of his face, her hands squishing his cheeks to make him face her.
"Akio-chan is a really nice guy, maybe he didn't have a nice start with you but I hope that you'd understand how I feel about him. He's probably a foul-mouthed jerk who loves to be a lone wolf but he's not all that bad. I mean, look at us, we're still together for six months!" she grinned before she took her small bag by the coffee table. She pecked him on the cheek before running off.
"Thanks so much for this chance, nii-chan!"
"Geez he sure is persistent," Akio chuckled and slowly crept his hand over to her's. She giggled and shook her head.
"I don't blame him, you sure do have a complicated personality," she giggled mischevously as she stuck out her tongue playfully.
"Hey!" he grumbled and pushed his lower lip out of childish displeasure. She laughed more at his sudden adorable apearance that caused him to blush and look away in embarrassment.
They decided they wanted to take the longer route to the mall because through this route, there was better privacy. They get to spend their time together by walking through the streets instead of taking the train.
"Thank you!" she smiled happily and attempted to kiss him on the cheek until he tilted his head before she could comprehend.
"Gotcha," he smirked and saw her blushing like strawberry tinted red or maybe even a train that was pumping out its smoke out because he thought there was smoke coming out from her ears.
"A-akio-chan!" she squeaked and punched him on the shoulder. Fortunately for him, she was too flustered to even punch him properly, only making him laugh at the meek effort she executed. She quietly ate her favorite the snack that Akio bought for her whilst throwing glares at him every now and then.
"You're bringing all my stuff, aren't you?~"
"What of course no—!?" he winced when she was giving him such a fall-worthy look. She had her hands clasped together like a praying position, her eyes wide like a small kitten and her lips forming an adorable smile that can knock out any man to do her biddings.
"H-how many more shopping bags am I going to bring...?" he struggled to hold on a huge ton of eco bags that were decorating his arms like they were christmas bulbs around him, dangling like designs with its many variant of colors.
"They're gifts for my friends and nii-chan!" she chirped as she looked at the sophisicated appearance of a stationary that she felt like she needed it.
"Oooh no you don't buy that. You have a lot of them back at your house!" he caught her hand before she could reach for the said stationary. She huffed and puffed her cheeks in disesteem.
"I forgot about that," she mumbled, still with a stubborn expression.
"I don't want to go home," she whined when she noticed that the sun was setting already. Fudou was walking her home but throughout the journey, she kept on expressing how she did not want to go home.
The boy knew that it was not because of his brother. She just did not want to go home and eventually sleep. He sighed and dropped all the bags to the side that caught her by surprise. He hugged her and held her head to his chest while delicately stroking her head.
"You know, I have trouble getting some sleeps because of school too but I manage to fix my schedule to help regulate my sleeping time," he spoke as he continued.
"How about I sleep over and help do your works and help you lessen the stress?" Rose frowned hearing this. Her heart swelled but in the back of her mind, she thought she was causing more problems to her boyfriend.
"I don't want to cause your sleeping schedule to get messy again, Akio-chan," she mumbled but was still audible for him.
"Ugh, don't worry about me Rose, I have a better grasp of my schedule. I'm sure that I'll be able to find a way to change it again to fit me again, now don't be stubborn," she hugged him tightly.
"Thank you, Akio-chan, it's a really big help."

A/N:
School started way back so I didn't got the chance to write nor actually actively write. I'm going on a trip with my classmates on Thursday! I'll be able to do a few drafts before I posted them around Saturday or Sunday. I'm really sorry for the delay. This was supposed to be the second posted but I couldn't thought of the first one so I did this one first. Hope you don't mind.
