"Sh-she...passed away...?" His small stature was shaking, he could feel his tiny pair of hands felt strangely cold all of a sudden. It made the little boy lost all his positive emotions right off the bat.
"Yes Tatsuya, I'm so sorry," the beautiful woman kneeled down to the boy with former vibrant green eyes to look at him directly, showing how much it had pained her as well.
"I didn't want to reveal this to you or to anybody because I know it would wound you deeply, but I thought that it was only right to tell, after all, she was your closest friend around the orphanage," she explained with a solemn tone. The boy stared blankly at the woman right in front of her, showing no emotion at all.
'Maybe it was too early,' thought the dark green haired woman but eventually decided, it was a situation that even as young as the precious boy was, there are people dying, young or old due to natural causes.
(Y/N) was terminally ill and Tatsuya understood it.
"How about you play with Reina and the others? Maybe it could help cheer you up," suggested the woman as she stood up, dusting off any dirty particles that was stuck from the knee part of her semi-tight beige pants.
"Um...Hitomiko-san, I was wondering if you could accompany me?" the mentioned person looked at boy for a split second before she led him somewhere quiet for the boy to let his heart cry out all the unforgettable and irreplaceable memories with the the late (Y/N), who passed away in just a youthful age of five.
"(Y-Y/N)...?!" Tatsuya gasped and scrambled among his feet to run up to a awfully familiar looking girl with enchanting beautiful (E/C) eyes that shone casually as she walked casually through the streets in front of her.
"Tatsuya, be attentive! It's not green yet!" scolded the blue haired girl while stopping the boy by his shoulder, gripping him as if she was warning him.
"B-but...I really saw (Y/N) just now!" he respectfully held his hand up, showing where he was pointing at.
'She couldn't be alive....could she?' Reina thought deeply. She missed her so much. She regarded her like her little sister that she was willing to protect her from bullies and any sort of harm.
"It's a bit rude but fine, you may go chase after her if the signal becomes green," Tatsuya's bright and jade-like orbs shone in child-like excitement.
"Alright, catch up then!" he yelled as he began to push his legs against the wind to reach the (H/C) girl as the stop light had already turned to forest green.
"(Y/N)!" he caught the girl by surprised when he grabbed unto her shoulders that send shudders to the back of the girl's spine at the sudden and abrupt force on top of her shoulder.
"Hey—?!" she silently gasped, her hands covering her mouth as if she saw a ghost.
"Wh-who are you and why are you so familiar!?" her eye pupils shook, petrified seeing a boy with vibrant red hair grabbing ahold of her.
The two teens looked at each other with their eyes widen, each having different emotions swirling in the endless ocean deep in their eyes.
"Y-you...are you truly (Y/N)?" he fixed his tone not to scare the pretty girl in front of him but forgot that his hand was tenderly holding her shoulder.
"I am, and who are you? You haven't answer my question yet!" she bursted in a small fit of annoyance, she moved her shoulder in order for him to let go of his touch on her delicate shoulder. His eyes seemed to have reflected hurt and sadness that caused the girl to have a tinge of guilt in her heart.
'A stranger touching me like we're friends is just weird!' she quickly thought.
"My name is Kiyama Tatsuya," he slowly spoke in order not to provoke any unfavorable expressions from the girl.
(Y/N)'s delicate fingers twitched hearing his name.
"Tatsu-chan?" when she spoke, he could feel his heart skipped a beat, his pinkish lips drawn to a thin line, quivering emotionally.
It was the same nickname as the five year old girl from the past had called him.
"Um...s-sorry, it must've been rude to call you by a nickname out of nowhere," chuckled (Y/N) with awkwardness evident lacing in her usual sweet voice.
"I feel you have some kind of memory of somebody who I was closed with before," out of nowhere, Tatsuya exclaimed with wide eyes.
"But I don't remember you at all, maybe we only look alike and have the same name but we're different," she spilled all her thoughts out. She thought it was peculiar that she was somebody else in her past life. If it was truly so, why does it seemed that she was the same age as this boy in front of her?
"Maybe you're not that girl then," spoke the downcast boy with a frown.
"I'm sure she's alright," (Y/N) tried to cheer the stranger, giving off a very listless way of comfort but Tatsuya could feel that she was sincere.
"Well, it's in the past so I have to be strong to survive the present!" as if he was a whole new person, his mood has changed drastically. (Y/N) was pleasantly astonished and just smiled brightly.
"I want us to forget how we met because I feel like you'd misinterpret as me only talking to you just because you remind me of someone," he laughed and offered a hand in front for her to shake.
"My name is Kiyama Tatsuya, nice to meet you!" he beamed like the sun as his seamfoam eyes reflected prettily.
'He has such a familiar face...' her head began to thump in pain numerous times but she didn't dare to show it to the boy who she just met. She was used to it after all. She was still able to pull off a big and warm smile that caused the boy to blush lightly.
'No Tatsuya, don't fall for somebody who reminds you of (Y/N) from the orphanage,' he reminded himself, harshly criticizing the way he reacted. It was just too much. He felt like (Y/N) alone was just a wonderful person just by his first glance of her, setting aside the impression that she was the five year old (Y/N) before.
"I'm (Y/N), nice to meet you too, Tatsuya-san!"
"Tatsuya really needs more friends outside of the orphanage, nice to meet you, (Y/N)," laughed the blue haired girl as she approached the duo while laughing to herself, making fun of her friend.
"Reina!" Tatsuya groaned and face-palmed.
"He looks quite approachable, nee-san!" even if she sounded like she was reassuring her new found friend, she was indirectly making fun of him.
