POSSIBLE FEELS WARNING FOR CHAPTER???
Heeheehee
Have da story:
(Still Shooting Stars POV)
The demon grinned at them, revealing sharp teeth within a cavernous maw. Mabel started to back away from the she-demon, seeing as she was closest, and though she liked pink, Mabel didn't want to have anything to do with this.
"How did you get that?" Ford growled, motioning to the tear that floated above the demon's fingers.
"Why should I tell you?" She laughed.
"Then how did you get here?" Ford snapped, pulling out a gun (though it looked more like a blaster of some sort) and leveling it.
"Silly! Like you don't know!" Another sickening grin. "I found this leak because I felt something with a familiar aura!"
"Dipper," Stan said, "You followed him here, didn't you?"
"Alcor? More like he accidentally called me here... But name it whatever you want! You can't stop us now!" She flexed her fingers, the small tear in reality shifting ever so slightly. Mabel feared that one wrong move and the entire rift would open up again.
"What do you even want? Why does this matter to you?" Ford said. The gun in his hands buzzed with a faint blue glow.
"We were all going to be free!" She shrieked. "But then you idiots came along! I wanted to finally be free but because of the Pines, Bill was killed, and we didn't have a way to cross here!" She narrowed an eye at them, pink flames crackling angrily. "I'm just here to finish what was started."
"And if we won't let you?" Ford snapped. Stan stood at the ready beside his brother. Any moment now, Mabel was sure.
"You don't have a choice." With that, she reached to the rift, ready to tear it apart.
A blast from the gun slammed her hand away from it and she hissed, backing up, one appendage smoking, and not from her own fire. Her eye was glowing red, pink color fading until she was nearly gray.
"Listen here demon," Ford said, preparing to fire again, "I get that you're disappointed or whatever, but you can't ruin this for us. For Mabel. So back off."
"Or what?" The demon hissed, smiling and baring her teeth.
Another blue blast from the gun. The demon reared backwards, now hissing in pain, her cape flapping violently in an invisible wind, before she looked up and glared once more. Mabel felt Ford moving to stand and block Mabel from whatever might happen.
"How dare you?!" She shrieked. "I'm Pyronica, one of the most trusted demons who helped Bill! You can't stop me with a stupid little gun!"
Stan scoffed, causing Pyronica to growl at him. He rose an eyebrow. "That might be what you think, but we think otherwise."
"Now!" Ford suddenly shouted, raising the gun and shooting twice more, hitting Pyronica again in the arm and once in the leg.
Stan rushed forward, running right at the wailing and outraged demon, before full on tackling her. She fell to the ground and held still for a few moments, as Ford walked over and stood with the blaster aimed at her face. Stan moved to stand beside his brother.
Mabel was sure that her feet were plastered to the ground. Had they planned that? Was she supposed to do something to help?
"Now look," Ford ground out, "you're going to go back through that rift and into the dimension you came from."
"I guess asking 'or what' is stupid, isn't it?" Pyronica snorted.
"Are you going to leave or not? This is your last chance." Ford asked. The gun glowed faintly.
"Oh, I don't care about your little threats." She hissed. "They're quite empty, and you can't kill me with that. We both know that."
The gun flared up again, blue shooting forward to hit the demon in the face, but she suddenly wasn't there. Pyronica leapt up and flung a ball of angry gray fire at the two brothers. They barely managed to dodge.
She brushed a few specks of dirt off of herself and then lobbed another ball of fire at Stan. He's scrambled backwards, and managed to dodge with only a singed arm. Pyronica chuckled darkly as they all took a step back.
"You thought it would be easy, didn't you?" She giggled. "You're so funny!"
Ford and Stan exchanged a glance before circling around the demon either way. Pyronica smirked at them, seemingly completely untroubled.
Mabel wanted to run back to the Shack and hide somewhere. She was just standing there in the open, even if it was nearly night and dark, and she felt extremely exposed. Pyronica seemed to notice that as well.
Suddenly Mabel found herself knocked to the ground as the she-demon rushed up and bowled her over. Tight, sharp ended fingers wrapped around her throat, and Mabel suppressed the urge to thrash around. Instead, she tried to rip the hands away.
Nothing worked, and suddenly the shouts of Ford and Stan grew distant as dark spots danced in her vision. The grip on her neck loosened and she took a huge breath, which resulted in her coughing.
Pyronica moved one hand to her arm and roughly yanked her to her feet. Mabel stumbled, suddenly glad the demon was unintentionally holding her up by the arm. She felt claws dig into her arm as she thought that and bit her tongue to hide a cry. That had really hurt.
"What will you do now?" Pyronica hissed to Mabel's two Grunkles in her raspy voice.
"Mabel, it's gonna be fine, you hear?" Stan said, trying to look at her hopefully. He failed horribly, Mabel decided. She tried to reply but only managed to make a strange strangled sound, Pyronica's other hand was still wrapped around her throat.
Pyronica laughed, and pet Mabel's hair like she some sort of animal, finally letting go of her arm.
"Leave her alone," a voice suddenly spoke up.
Pyronica turned around, Mabel gaped like a fish as she was jerked around as well. And there she saw... Well, she wasn't quite sure what.
It looked nearly like Bill, yellow, one eye, thin black arms and legs, and a floating top hat. But instead of a triangle, the new figure was a star, with little black wings, as well as a black eye with a single gold pupil. Mabel blinked as she remembered the necklace that Dipper had given her. It couldn't be.
"Alcor," Pyronica said sweetly, "what took you so long? You're family missed you, you disgrace."
"Shut up." He snapped back in an echoey voice. "Put her down. Now."
"You're no better than these humans. Thinking that I have to listen to you." She tightened her grip on Mabel's neck. "Good thing this one won't be around much longer."
"Maybe you don't have to listen to me, but you will." He growled, single black and yellow eye narrowed, his fingers were clenched.
"Why are you protecting them still?" Pyronica shrieked. "I'm here because of you, anything that happens is on you. But you're better than these humans now, so why stay with them?"
"I..." Alcor paused. "I don't know."
Pyronica let out a laugh, seeming glad that the other demon wasn't trying to stop her. Mabel tried to say something again, but she couldn't talk with Pyronica's grip on her throat. Instead, she looked at her brother imploringly, trying to meet his eye.
Alcor looked up and stared for a few seconds right at Mabel. "I think, because they're family. Nothing will change that."
"Forget it! You're hopeless! I hate all of you!" Pyronica screamed, throwing Mabel to the ground and swinging a hand to cut her throat.
A flash and suddenly she was knocked back by a streak of blue fire, where she scrambled to stand back up. Alcor floated next to Mabel, hands engulfed in flames and eye fixed on the once pink and now dark gray demon.
Stan ran over to Mabel, followed by Ford, who knelt next to her and asked if she was okay. She managed to mutter an 'I'm fine' somewhere and he nodded once, though he must have known she was lying, before turning to the yellow demon next to them.
"Dipper, look, okay? I'm sorry." He said. "Mabel was right, you aren't half bad like this. But unless you can help us contain the leak and stop Pyronica, I'm going right back on those words."
The single eye on the star squinted like he was smiling, though something about it looked sad. "Yeah, okay."
"Come on then, we'd better save the world." Ford stood up and turned around, firing the blaster and knocking Pyronica back again. Stan remained next to Mabel, neither of them could do much.
Alcor sent a glance at Mabel, and she watched as his form suddenly rippled, almost like water, before getting larger. He changed into how he had looked before, mainly human, though he looked a considerable number of years older.
Mabel was sure she caught the glimmer of golden tears running down his cheeks before he whipped away and lobbed fireball after blue fireball at the other demon.
Caught under the barrage, Pyronica choked out a cry, starting to stumble to the remains of the rift. She was trying to escape back to the Nightmare Realm before they could stop her.
"Stop her!" Ford said, firing and missing her and she lurched forward.
Alcor flung a streak of fire that hit Pyronica dead center, but she seemed to somehow ignore it and she neared the leak. Any second and she would be gone, back to a place where she could tell the other demons about the leak into reality.
Once more, Ford shot, this time not missing. She snarled and flung a ball of gray fire at Alcor, who was too started to dodge and was knocked back. Then Pyronica turned to Ford and covered the distance between them with startling speed, considering how much she had been hurt a few seconds prior.
There was a sickening sound as she swung her claws right across his throat, sending blood spaying across the grass. Ford fell to his knees, where he slowly slumped to the ground. Pyronica turned and slipped through the leak and back to the Nightmare Realm.
Stan yelled something incoherent, lurching to his feet and running to his twin. Mabel stood up blearily and followed after Stan, who had dropped to his knees next to his brother. She sung to the ground next to them.
The site was horrific, Ford had his neck cut open and blood was everywhere. Stan was covered in it from hugging his brother close. Mabel blinked as she realized that Ford must have been dead before they had made it to him.
She'd always imagined something from those movies, where the character gets to say something before they die and everyone appreciates their words and follows in their footsteps. That was not what had happened.
She was fairly aware of her brother picking up the container from the ground where it had fallen and doing something to the leak. When he came back, a few things floated around in the container, and Mabel realized that everything was over. She just couldn't manage to pull up any joy for it.
It felt just like it had when Dipper had died. When Bill had taken him. She leaned against her raining Grunkle, who was sobbing too heavily to notice her.
Had it really been worth it?
Oh yes, I would like to thank FallerFurever_Meow and soundofmusic313 for the death of Ford.
You shouldn't make deals, I'm just saying. This chapter is what happens when you do.
Also, he was going to die soon anyways, and this seemed like the perfect situation... So...
BUT HOLY TRIANGLES FORD IS MY THIRD FAVORITE CHARACTER NOW HE'S DEAD.
ALL MY FAVORITE CHARACTERS ARE DYING.
FIRST BILL NOW FORD, DIPPER TECHNICALLY DIED. . .
THIS IS GREAT!!! :D
Toodles!
