which platform?
i'm sure if you do your research, you can find many platforms to publish your fan-fiction as a published book on. make sure to take into account printing costs, services they provide, what they want from you, royalty and copyright.
but from the resources, articles and videos i have read and seen, the most reliable and successful platform is definitely Amazon Kindle Direct Publishing.
we all use Amazon regularly i'm sure, it's a platform worldwide.
they provide a publishing site where you take three steps to publish your book on their online store. you can sell your book as a paperback or a kindle, at whatever price and you get 70% royalty!
there's a lot of information out there to support you on how to get the steps right. it's easy to follow and there are lots of resources there to help if you ever get stuck. i personally struggled with the cover design but managed to get it correct by using their resources. they have book cover templates as well as a step by step process, whether it's for the content etc.
however, it is only limited to Amazon stores and in order to publish on other stores, you'll need to do more research. it's definitely possible, i've learnt.
but to end this, Amazon is what i went with and i've had a good experience with it so far. i may not have published my book yet but the process only took a few months and it was okay. when it was challenging, it was overcome.
i'll make sure to update this when i have published :)
