hi :)

i don't usually do books like this but i decided to after my friend recommended it. i thought it would be a good way to put the knowledge i have out there, after research and my own experience, to help even one person out there.

just to clarify, i'm not an expert in this field. honestly, i just wanted to publish my book and found a way to do it. writing isn't my main career. many wouldn't take the route i did or use the same things i did in my writing and publishing experience but i learnt a lot from the internet as well as others. i'm just saying, this is a guide. it's not something you have to follow. i just want to share my experience and hope it helps anyone out there!

the truth is, my dream isn't to publish. it's a goal sure, but my true dream is to hold my book in my hands. there's something about seeing your book in a physical copy that is thrilling.

it was only until quarantine when i decided to pursue this dream of mine. my goal changed to wanting to have my book out there.

after some research, i decided to take the self publishing route. it was the easiest and cheapest way. i had contemplated traditional publishing but i didn't have much time. so after some rejection emails, i thought, fuck it, i'm going to do it. if i have the chance to make my dream come true, then i should do it. i'm very lucky to be in the position where i have to just sign up on a website and post my book.

so after months of editing, proof reading, designing and preparation, i am now on the journey to self publish my fan-fiction!

Letters to Reality was written in 2018. it became a work i was truly proud of and happy so many people enjoyed. i edited, formatted, changed the celebrity names and designed everything for it in the last few months. now it'll be hitting Amazon stores on the 7th of August. there's still a long way to go but it's a dream come true!

there are a lot of things one needs to be aware of and one needs to do before they self publish. it's not as easy as it sounds and you really have to question whether or not your book is ready or suitable to be out there in the wider world.

i hope this book helps any of those with the same dream as mine. it may seem impossible but it truly isn't. you have to try hard enough, never give up because one day it'll be happening before you know it. it's a surreal feeling.

i'm thankful to all the people who gave me a chance on this app. without those people, some who have changed my life and given me beautiful encouragements, i wouldn't be here doing this.
