Jooshin High: Special A Class
She sat in her class with Daniel as they wrote down the lesson. Daniel tapped her shoulder, making her turn around slightly.
"At He-ra's place, she's having a newbie party. Everyone's going to be there. You should come." Daniel whispered to her.
"Are you going?" She whispered back.
"Yeah, I'm going to be there. Will you be there?" He asked, hoping she'd say yes.
"I'll go, but no funny business." She told him with a stern look as he raised his hands.
"No funny business, got it." He tells her before they turn back to the teacher before they get caught.
Before they left for there next class, the teacher made an announcement.
"Be sure to get with your class president to change any extra classes." The teacher said before bidding them goodbye.
"Who is our class president?" Melanie asked Daniel as she skillfully walked backwards without being in anyone's way.
"Nam Ju-won, he takes the standard classes." Daniel spoke as the girl didn't hit anyone while walking backwards.
"What's your next class?" Melanie wondered.
"Special B: Government." Daniel answered.
"Aww, I have Standard B: Government. So I see you during lunch, okay?" Melanie says before turning around while Daniel stares after her. She went inside her class. She didn't really need to know the South Korean government, but it's nice to hear about, she guessed. She was surprised to see Kang-Ha in her class. She walked over to sit next to him. He didn't have anyone sitting next to him anyway. He was surprised to see her, though.
"Melanie, you're here with us." Kang-ha yelled excitedly as some of the scholarship students looked at him in shock. They had heard that the foreigner was part of the special class and that she was rich also. How did Kang-ha know her?
"Hello, Kang-ha, how are you?" She tells him as she crosses her legs. Her glittered pen with a fluff ball lay in her binder, ready to be written with.
"I'm good, trying to fit in," Kang-ha stated with a soft smile as he thought about his brother. He had to do it. For him, he had to. For In-han.
"You don't need to fit in to belong, Kang-ha; just be yourself. You have a friend in me. I pinky promise." Melanie holds her pinky out to him, and she playfully raises her eyebrows, waiting for him to attach his, which he did, laughing.
"You'll have a friend in me too, Melanie." He smiled at her before class started.

She had come across Ju-won, who walked with other scholarship students. She walked up to them, causing them to pause what they were saying.
"Sorry to interrupt, but which one of you is Nam Ju-won?" Melanie asked. The students quickly pointed out their class president before quickly walking away. One girl was reluctant to leave him and stayed.
"Sorry, I wanted to talk to you about the extra activities classes." Melanie started as Ju-won, and the girl led her to the teacher's faculty room.
"Thank you guys for your help. So how do you like the semester already?" Melanie asked the two, who were too nervous to say anything.
"Hey, it's okay, you can talk to me." Melanie spoke, wondering why they weren't talking to her.
"It's okay, we guess." The girl answered after Melanie's reassurance.
"Good. That's good. So what kind of extracurricular activities do you have?" She asked.
"We have fencing, band, painting, rowing, cheerleading; the principal just added something called majorettes. She even hired a coach out of town for it also." The girl mentioned.
"Oh, you guys have majoretteing. We had that at my old school. It's very awesome." Melanie stated as the teacher there gave her a piece of paper to choose her extra class.
She checks majorettes for B-days and paints for A-days. She looked at the two that secretly wanted to join a high extra class. She being the kind person she is.
"Which class do you want to join?" She asked the two.
"What? No, we are found with our standard class." The girl replied.
"I'll pay for all semester." She told them, making their eyes go big.
"Are you sure?" Ju-won asked her with wide eyes.
She nodded. She looked at the teacher that she knew as Ms. Han.
"Whatever class they pick, I'll pay for it for the semester." Melanie stated before leaving the teacher and students in shock.

She had to meet the Majorette teacher by the field near the stands. She had rushed in her quick gym clothes before walking out. She walked pass the rich kids as Ri-an was being asked about Jae-I.
"Did you figure out what her problem was?" Woo-jin asked Ri-an as he spotted the girl Melanie heading towards the other side of the bleachers, where the mixed-race teacher was. He didn't care what it was. It was barely any girls on the team—only six or seven. Something the girls wanted to try out. The teacher was tough on them. The girls easily gain rhythm from her teaching. No longer stiff but smotth yet clean.
"There isn't a good reason for why you like or dislike someone." Woo-Jin added as he discreetly looked at Melanie, who shook hands with her teacher. The teacher smiled happy, finally.
"Let's backtrack. I remember you had your falling out around my birthday, right before she ran to the States. So you don't have any idea at all? No idea what might've upset her? Come on, think." Woo-Jin contiued. Ri-an sighs before answering,
"No idea."
"Damn, man. It sounds like you should've given up trying to figure it out. You can spend years and never figure out why a girl's mad at you. They're insane." Woo-Jin stated still watching Melanie as she got into position. The teacher went to go stand by the radio.
"Hey!" He-re and her friends shouted before Yun-seok stepped in.
"You could apologize. "I don't know what I did, but I'm wrong." That's when she'll come clean. "Actually, okay, this is why I was upset." And even then, you won't get it."
"Yun-seok's kind of got a point. Go to her and say you're sorry. Girls sometimes put their men through tests." Ba-da inputted.
"What tests?" Ri-an asked in curiosity.
"Just to see if you'll say sorry to her. Apologize. Say you can't live without her. Girls eat that up. Trust me." He-ra cut in with a smirk on her face.
"Even Jae-i?" Ri-an wondered.
"She's a girl, isn't she? Tell you what. Let's have a party. At the vacation home. He can tell her there." He-ra nodded before music started playing, causing all their attention to go to the girl by the stand as she made sharp, clean moves as she moved like water.

"Is that the new girl?" Ri-an says as he watches the girl lead the dancers. He stared curiously at the girl.
"Melanie Majors, that's what the principal said." Ye-ji said as they watched her.
"She caught up fast; we've heard them working on this all summer." Ba-da says, and Yun-seok blushes.
"Who knew cutie could move like that?" Ba-da hit him in slight jealousy.
"Yah!"
"Maybe we could invite her to the party." Ye-ji said.
"Daniel already asked with that little smart brain of his. Makes me think he's psychic. He told me she's coming, so he's coming. Never know what's on his mind sometimes." He-ra mentioned.
"More like he likes what he sees." Woo-jin says with a cheeky grin.
"She is pretty and has an s-shaped body." Another boy mentioned.
The performance was now over, and they finished what they were talking about before Kang-ha came over.
"Um, please tell me he's not actually going to sit there." Someone says as they saw it. Melanie drinks some of her water. After their break, they had to dance all over again, now that Mrs. Lewis found her shining star. Everything melted all together. She saw Daniel watching her softly as she did her second round. She was finished. She packed her things to go home. Daniel waited for her by the gate.
"Hey, you waited long?" She asked.
"No, the new scholarship boy is causing trouble with Ri-an." Daniel said as they walked to his final period, which was free.
"Kang-ha? What is he doing?" Melanie questioned.
"This school is run by the top children of influential society. Since Ri-an's family owned the school since his grandfather opened it. No scholarship student should talk to-" Daniel started before getting cut off Melanie.
"No. Scholarship student or not. No one is above the other because they got money. We all go through the same problems. Infidelity, abandonment, child abuse, sexual abuse, etc. It doesn't change because you have money. We are all the same. Until you think about it in your head, you will not understand what they have to go through." Melanie tells him before walking off, hoping he wouldn't follow.
