CHAPTER 22

"I'd rather have you call me by my first name, Dark... And again, I wasn't threatening anyone. You just didn't let me finish..."

"What?" I replied to the voice speaking inside my mind.

"I kept telling you that 'Death awaits you Princess Selene if you don't summon me at once."

"How? Tell me how? I need to save everyone in 2 days!" I roared and both Dr. Lira and Sir Whei looked more confused at me.

"Tell me... Why do you need to save everyone?" My heart stopped and when I blinked... I was in an empty white space. "Tell me..." I turn around and saw the same person grinning at me standing not far from me.

"They're important... They're all in a dangerous place... So I need to save them... So help me... Please.. "

He raised an arm and a sword appeared before me and another on his hand. "I will decide on the strength you have..."

"But my baby..." I held my womb but I felt nothing inside.

"It's only you here in my space. Your real body is safe and so is your child... But fail to convince me and... You will stay here for eternity fighting against me until the day your bones return to ashes."

My jaw dropped and I sighed heavily. I hesitatingly reached for the sword and pulled the sword with both hands and the steel was heavy on my shoulders. I clench my hands tightly. I need to get Dark on my side to save everyone. I need to win against him.

And like that... I started running with the sword pointing at him. "Hyaaaaa!!!" I screamed but he dodged the sword to the right. I swung again yet he used just one swing to stop my attack. I haven't had the time to harness my sword skills right when I need to.

"Power doesn't always mean strength nor force Selene." Dark Blade replied.

He raised his blade causing sparks to ignite with the blades clashing. They were like fireworks in my line of sight and I was pushed to my back. Blood flickered on the hand I'm holding the sword on.

"If you don't hurry, the night will soon end." Dark suddenly announced.

"What?"

"It is eleven in the evening in the real world so I hope you do realise that you do not have enough time to play around."

I tightened my grip though I felt the stings hurt me. I need him on my side so I need to win...

Wait....

So why do I fight him when he's supposed to fight with me?

Why is he not attacking me first?

How did my ancestors get him beside them?

How do I win against him when I'm powerless?

"Power doesn't always mean strength nor force Selene." I gasp when his words echoed inside my brain. I turn to my bleeding hand then turn to him who was just standing metres away from me in his same defensive position.

I started walking towards him. I think I might have just figured what he wants me to do and what I am supposed to do.

I stopped when I stand just a couple of feet away from him and pointed the sword at him.

"So how do you plan to win against me, my Queen?"

"I know you do not intend to attack me as I understand you will help me win this battle." He smirked hearing my answer. "I may be just a newbie again in being a vampire but I want to be open-minded enough to be able to stretch my wings across all the corners of my veins. I have a reason to fight and live eternally with them... They're my family... And they are leaders to the other vampires." My hands gripped tightly on the sword. "I... I can promise you only one thing Dark and I want you to hear me out..."

"What is it?"

"Freedom... Once this battle ends, we will all live prosperously. You will no longer be a sword to kill.."

"What are you saying?"

"You will be a sword that helps the unprotected. I will demolish the high barrier between all the clans and I would like for you to rebuild and reunite the clans. So this sword pointing to you now..." I lift it up and pointed it to my chest. "I offer you my human blood to wake up from this nightmare world and for you to be your own individual."

And I let all my human blood flow out of my body.
