UNCERTAINTY

SELENE's POV

Several hands started wrapping around my body and I could see nothing but only pure darkness.

"What is her baby's condition?"

Baby? Ah... Leo and my baby... Is she alive...

"Yes. But her wounds are too great. I assume her royal blood is..."

My eyes flinch open as I felt another surge of pain in my chest.

"My queen!" I turn and saw Dr. Lira beside Sir Whei holding both my arms. Dr. Lira grabs a needle and I saw red liquid inside it and she buries it to my arm. I could feel the liquid rush fast in my system and the pain slowly disappeared.

I exhaled deeply. "Where am I? What happened?" I ask and saw my arms filled with scars. I look around and saw that I was wearing a white nightgown and my wedding dress hung on the wall... Tattered and marked with blood stains. "What happened to me?" I repeated.

"You lost consciousness, my lady." Dr. Lira answered. "For 5 days miss."

"What?!" My eyes nearly pop out.

"Calm down Lady Selene. You are in your unstable state. Your blood is confused itself."

"What? Please explain to me." Dr. Lira went to the next room and returned with a cup of hot cocoa. "Drink first. The baby needs a natural intake of food." I nodded taking the cup with my sore joints. The tasty drink filled my throat warming me up.

"First of all... Your heiress is safe but not 100% because of the stress you are in. And the real deal is... Lady Thana told us before the wedding about some people who will infiltrate the palace and it was true. The palace had so many guards in place but it proves us wrong." Dr. Lira explained.

"Do you guys have any clue how Jane acquire such power? She... She was filled with hatred and... Anger..."

"That's exactly where she gets it, Lady Selene. I think this is the right time to tell you this..."

"Tell me what Sir Whei?"

"That this is all a part of a prophecy. No one in the R-clam believed."

"Prophecy?"

"The mother of the next light will have enemies forged and steal what's important. But after seven days will rose and regain with the imperial sword and save everyone." Sir Whei stated. "You only have 2 more days to put the prophecy in action or who knows what will happen. You need to summon the imperial sword, Dark Blade at once my lady."

"Dark Blade? How? I've never heard of it. Where do I get it? Is it in the palace?" I got excited that I still had hope. I need to save Leo, Thana and the other guests God knows what Jane did to them.

"There is only one place where you can find it, my lady..." Sir Whei kneeled beside the bed looking straight in my eyes. "It is buried inside your pure vampiric heart." I was speechless. "H-how can a sword be in my heart Sir Whei?"

"No archives list any information how but you are the hundredth Selene to have inherited the prophecy... You've felt your womb clutch during your wedding right?" I nodded. "Because you were in your vampiric mode then and the sword's essence was trying to help you but you wavered so pain only brought it out... But you need to fully bring him out now."

"Him? The sword is a person?"

"If I am correct, you have met him a couple of times... In your dreams.

"In my... Dreams?" Suddenly my blood started rushing fast making me gasp and I saw the man smirking again on me... The man who told me "Death awaits you, Princess Selene..." The man threatening me... Is the imperial sword?

"For the record, I didn't threaten no one."

My eyes and body flinch hearing a voice. "Who was that?!" Dr. Lira and Sir Whei both looked puzzled. "Who was what my lady?"

"They can't hear me you know Lady Selene... Or should I say, my Queen?" That familiar smirk again.

"Are you Dark Blade? Why were you trying to kill me?" Dr. Lira almost approaches me but Sir Whei signalled her not too. She must've thought I'm going crazy.

"I'd rather have you call me by my first name, Dark... And again, I wasn't threatening anyone. You just didn't let me finish..."
