CHAPTER 19

OBSESSION

Thana's POV

After I finish preparing myself for the coronation, I headed to the White room where Selene remained confined for a whole night as part of royal traditions. I also just finished disposing of some assassins after Selene's life. They do not show knowledge that they know of the next heiress. She just woken up but still dozing.

I offered my hand to her to stand up but as soon as her skin touched mine, electricity flowed to my head and fast vision of tonight appeared. Two powerful entities will appear at the same time. Pure feelings of both love and hatred...

"Thana?" Sister called out cutting the vision loss. She had the worried look on her face. "Something wrong?"

"N-no." I stuttered. "Now let's go polish you up." I link my arms on her and we headed to her bedroom. She got into the blue gown ornamented with silver sequence and diamonds. She looks... STUNNING! I pulled her to sit and I applied a light shade of makeup since she already had rosy cheeks but darkened the mascara to fit in her pale skin then started brushing her silky hair. "I know I haven't said this so let me say it today... Congratulations sis. I know mom and dad would be happy even though it wasn't James who will be waiting for you." She chuckled and tap my hand which was resting on her shoulder.

"Thank you, Thana. Thank you for everything..." She genuinely says.

I pinch her cheek softly. "No crying Selene! You'll ruin my creation!" She sniffs laughing.

"I will try."

"Don't try Selene... Do it, sis."

"I guess so." She huskily replied as I designed her hair with roses leaving space for the crown later on.

A knock came and one of my maids came in. "Everyone has arrived milady and just waiting for your arrival." She bowed. "Thank you. We will be there for a short while." And she left.

"Ready ready sis?" She nodded.

I offered my hand formally and she giggled before taking it. She breathes deeply as we went outside her room and walking towards the hall. I signalled my bodyguards to watch all corners while the coronation is being held... Especially with Selene and her baby's life on the line. If I were human, I may have pissed on myself with all these emotions and responsibilities I need to do to protect her. I am not complaining but it's difficult to keep every single thing from Selene a secret.

The doors opened and I passed Selene's hand to Leo who had waited long enough. Coronation before wedding okay? And Leo won't be the high king as Selene IS the high queen. And if my visions are correct, Leo and Selene will have a beautiful future together IF Selene surpasses tonight's nightmare.

I may have live this long (let's not give the numbers anymore) yet I feel like I don't know how to use my powers. Selene, after remembering everything, had used it only once and the fact that she's pregnant to the next possible 'Selene' is dangerous. My sister hasn't fully grasped her power as the direct link and I pray it will show at the time before danger strikes her.

Watching Leo and Selene, you would think two teenagers who simply fell in love.

I stood at the front side as what I had been told and look at each vampire in this room. The R-clan and U-clan in 1 room? But something isn't right!

I hope my intuition is wrong.

The ceremony went fully flexible with Selene saying her promises, duties and responsibilities.

The vampire priest (there is such a thing) blessed her saying prayers as he lay the jewelled crown in her head. Applause followed which meant the wedding will come after.

Selene looks very happy and she should be and I will take all the worries of my sister with the danger awaiting her which I will stop myself.

Leo held her hand tightly as their wedding goes. I won't be getting deep into the details since vampire weddings are like human weddings.

I peek at all the guests again yet it's still impossible to infer who's the bad one to them all. One of my especially skilled bodyguards, who has the ability to send the information via telepathy to my mind. "Third reporting. The von Klein family has arrived with some other vampires milady!"

"What?!"

"I'm heading there now to check up on them."

"Alright. Report immediately Third. Good luck."

"Yes ma'am" And his connection disappeared. Now it figures that we missed one of the council family but... It was reported to me that all the invited came... Unless...

I turned and saw two of Jane's maids sitting comfortably in their gowns hiding their appearances. This is ridiculous!

I look at my sister as she gives her vows to Leo. I slowly step back making sure no one sees me. But I was wrong. As soon as she inserts the ring to his hand, she peeks at me and realises I wasn't standing in the first row seats. I smiled at her and gave her my "give me a minute" look. She smiled turning back to Leo who would be starting his vows.

After I got out of the hall, I ran to the entrance and saw my bodyguards fighting with some vampires and then I saw Jane and her family all in black. I slowly approached them seeing that they knew I was present here.

"It was a bit rude having other people attend a celebration when it was meant for you, Lady Jane." I started. I need to know their plan and hold them back.

"Cut me some slack former queen. Though I greatly wished that you didn't wake your sister from her long slumber... That could have made everything simple for me." She grinned stepping forward.

"So why stop the ceremony now when it's almost finished?"

"Pain hurts more when you're tied with someone. If I can't have Leo beside me, she's not on the same page to have him either!"

My jaw dropped. "So you're insanely obsessed with Leo? Is that it?"

"I wouldn't call it insanity or obsession. I call it love Thana. A love was stolen from me which I want back."

"You can't and I won't allow it!"

Jane suddenly started laughing mischievously. "I can't? And you won't allow it? Can you do better than that?" She suddenly gets her sword pointed at me still bearing the wicked face. My body all of a sudden froze. I couldn't move. Like I've been struck with ice in my whole body. "I'll see you in her deathbed Thana." And she started walking away from me with her family behind her.
