For some information, Jason is... your typical popular jock who thinks a lot about image and has a challenging attitude. However, compared to many other boys like him, he isn't rich. That's kind of the only reason he's taking this job and accepting a contract for 5 years, even if it probably doesn't fit him very well.

He's handsome, popular and generally doesn't pay much attention to other people. So, he doesn't know how well he fits into this house of mental freaks, but it gives him a place to sleep and good money. He can just crash at a friends house if he needs to, it's no biggie. Alex is one of his close friends, but they actually don't spend that much time together.

This is because Jason hangs with the cool people and Alex is... just kind of normal. Though, they have known each other for a long time and that's probably also the reason why Alex wanted to help Jason out, finding him a job and a place to stay. Jason appriciates that a lot and will not hide the fact that he has a lot of respect for Alex, he just tend not to show it.

That's how it is with most of his emotions. They are hidden from even his closest friends, but that's how it has always been. 

Jason doesn't know how he became this way. Maybe it's because of the fact that his parents straight up left him at the mare age of 14 and he had to be independent in a way a 14-years-old shouldn't be. This made him self-centered because his only way of survival was to think of himself. If he didn't hurt people's feelings by turning them down, he wouldn't have time to work and earn money. If he didn't get a popular image in school, he wouldn't have any friends that would pay a meal for him or help him get good grades by bribing the teachers. He wouldn't have a social network that would be able to drive him everywhere he wants, simply because they want to feel special to someone like him.

That's why Jason is popular. And he's quite satisfied with his achievements so far, even if it means some people see him at a bad guy or a bully. He just learned how to survive. 

However, when he's introduced to the five boys he's going to live with from now on, he slowly starts regretting ever applying for this job solely for survival.

It started with Joshua making some food and having Jason help him with a few things to prepare the big meal for the household. When everything had been placed nicely on the dinner table, Joshua went to fetch the others. Jason was just waiting indifferently in the living room. 

He didn't expect to get tackled to the ground and get the air knocked from his lungs the second the door got smacked open. 

But that's exactly what happened.

Jason gasps for air as he feels a body press itself tightly against his, hugging him as if he is the very source of life on earth. From the corner of his eye, Jason can see the red, fluffy hair that fits a certain someone he got told about earlier. Well, at least it's not a kiss on the cheek. 

"Hunter! Jesus," Joshua walks over to the two boys and grabs this Hunter-guy by his waist and starts dragging him away from Jason with all his power. 

"But he's so cool!" the boy's eyes shine as he stares at Jason who's just sitting with a blank expression, not really knowing how to react at the moment.

"I know, but that doesn't mean he wants to get hugged, okay? This is practice so you can start respecting others' personal space," Joshua instructs. It sounds like he has used that as a way to convince Hunter that he has to say away from people... because they clearly do not want the close proximity. Jason can only agree with that.

The raven gets back on his feet and dries off his pants, looking back up at the group of boys that is now filling up the room. Joshua seems to be 'handing' over the first weirdo Jason encountered to the guy with the glasses. What was his name again? Noah?

"It's nice to meet you," the said male says and smiles. He immediately gives off this calm and collected vibe, Jason has a feeling he is going to manage this boy. Don't get him wrong, first meetings can never determind how a person actually his, but the vibes are good so far. 

"Hey," he replies and soon gets greetings from the other boys as well and even a few waves. One of them, who Jason believes is Simon, is just looking at his phone and not really paying attention to the new resident. He even goes as far as sit down by the table as if he owns the place, not caring about Joshua scolding him or anything of the sort. Talk about having the 'bad' personality as his main. Jason gives him a look but then turns back to the others.

Jimmy walks over to him and reaches out his hand. "Hello! I'm Jimmy, I hope we'll get along," he smiles. The raven gives him a nod and short reply before Jimmy turns around and sits down by the table too. He must be having one of his good days. 

"Hey," a very deep voice says behind Joshua who's helping Noah push Hunter over to the table and force him down into a chair, the guy is simply too excited to function.

The deep voice however comes as a shock to Jason and he looks over at Travis, he remembers him clearly from the papers. The boy isn't smiling or anything, he just said 'hey' and then walked over to the table too. Jason has to physically hold himself back from letting out the world's deepest sigh. Is this really what he's going to deal with the next 5 years? 

Jason's mind starts slowly putting all of them into boxes. Joshua and Noah, the calm ones he's probably going to be able to tolerate. Jimmy and Hunter who seem to be the energy bombs of the place, they are probably going to draining as fuck to be with. 

And then, Simon and Travis, the cold ones. They are probably going to be the hardest to deal with, both of them just ooze of trouble and rudeness. Well, good thing that Jason has one hell of an attitude himself, they can just try him. Jason looks over and spots Joshua pulling out a seat for him. They all seem to have certain seats, he's going to be sitting in front of Noah and have Travis to his right, Joshua is sitting by the end of the table to his left. Beside Noah and in front of Travis, Simon is sitting and next to him is Jimmy. Therefore, Travis is currently the one being held in a bone-crushing hug by Hunter... he doesn't seem very affected by it though. It probably happens a lot.

Hunter is looking over at Jason with big eyes and the raven is honestly already starting to get freaked out. Don't worry, he just have to get used to you. He's not planning your murder. Jason just awkwardly looks back at Joshua who smiles at him.

"Well, have some food. It's weekend now so we will have our traditional movie-night later, we better eat quickly," he says and grabs the bowl that's filled with potatoes that he hands to Jason, "plus, we need to make our new resident feel at home!" Oh, that's right. There are some different days where the boys have activities that they kind of 'have' to participate in, but it of course depends on what day they are having and if they are in the right mood.

Monday is a free day, that's nice at least. Tuesday is for outside activates, so depending on the weather they will spend time in the garden behind the house where there are games and toys for them to use. Jason almost laughed at that one, it's like a bunch of kids. Wednesday is game night, so they play board games for a few hours. Thursday is spent with family and visitors, but from what Jason understood, it's basically just a free day too. However, they usually spend it on making activities inside. Friday is as mentioned a movie-night, Saturday is free and Sunday is for homework. 

Is this a kindergarten class or something? Jason just hopes it isn't some lame games like painting on asphalt or make pup-up books. If it is, he might not survive being here, his pride is getting affected. If anyone at school ever finds out he works here, he's done for. He must figure out how to deal with Travis's seizures or whatever without anyone knowing. 

"I'm picking today," Simon's rather raspy voice says. The statement has Hunter and Jimmy looking shocked in his direction.

"Noooo! It's my turn today!" Jimmy whines and holds around the elder boy's upper arm. 

"Your taste in movies sucks."

"Simon!" Jimmy cries out like a goddamn baby and Jason has to hold himself back from cringing. What the fuck is this?

"I want to watch Simon's movie!" Hunter exclaims and puts his hands in the air with happiness, earning a glare from Jimmy. How happy can this dude get? It's like he's oozing of sunshine and pure joy all the time.

"Don't take sides Hunter, it's not fair," Jimmy says, but the other just ignores him and goes back to hugging Travis tightly who seems extremely uninterested in the conversation, he's just trying to eat his food. 

"I'm sure we can agree on a movie," Noah says from the side, but the others don't really pay attention to him. Simon and Jimmy are having a small fight now, one trying to hold around an arm and the other trying to brush it off. God.

They soon stop though when two hands grabs both of them by their chest and pushes them away from each other. Joshua must have stood up while Jason wasn't looking, clearly having to tear apart the two boys before it could turn into a fight. Jimmy and Simon still glare hatefully at each other, but they are keeping their hands off. Joshua really seems to be the one in charge here.

"Now boys, if you can't agree, I will be picking the movie," he says as he straightens back up and heads back for his seat. Jimmy whines and Simon just rolls his eyes, but none of them is objecting. Did they seriously just almost get into a fight because one of them wanted to pick a movie?

Jason looks down at his food and takes a deep breath before he starts cutting out the meat on his plate. Don't worry, it will get better. You'll get used to it.

"Maybe, we should let Jason pick, to welcome him in the household?"

Jason looks up with fearful eyes. Why does he feel like he's going to get judged hard on whatever movie he's going to pick?
