In this world, your ability decides on which level you are in. A high rank, a middle rank, and a low rank or in other word a peasant. Ability? Yes, ability to summon something not from human world. If you summon a monster, you'll be in middle class. If you summon a beast, a high rank. And if you summon a human, you are a peasant.

"Hey peasant, where's your servant?" Group of boys and girls laughed as I walked on the hallway.

"Summon your human servant!" They shouted, and again I ignored them.

In this academy, I'm the only student who summoned a human. But I didn't regret summoning a human, in contrary, I quite like it, to be rank as the lowest.

I sat down at the end of the room, looking outside the window, not minding the people around me.

"(F/N), here you go"

"Hoy, Anna, stop talking to that peasant!" I heard our classmates shouted as my only friend left sat down in front of me. Anna flipped her long black hair and mockingly smiled at them

"Don't talk to me, middle class. Its my decision to who I can talk to, since I'm a high rank summoner" Once she stated that, I could hear them whimpered and they retreated. True, Anna is a high rank summoner. She summoned a rank 3 beast.

"But you should stop talking to me, Anna" I sighed but shifted my eyes on my table to see an application form "Again?"

"If you submit this, you can perform again, and summon a beast. I am sure that you are capable of summoning a strong beast, (F/N). You are far greater than me! You can change that servant of yours. Not just change, but actually, you can have two" She worriedly explained. Anna is my friend that I met here in the academy last year. I always rank 1st, but during the summoning two months ago, I was ranked last, and the lowest.

However, I smiled at her and returned the form "Thank you, but ever since I summoned Aoi Shouta, my days somehow became interesting. No more pressure, and more laughters. Also, he is not my servant. He is my friend, my partner." I looked back outside and immediately stood from my chair once I saw him standing on the top of the tree, wearing a white tailed coat. I opened the window abruptly, and shouted "Shouta, what the heck are you doing there?!"

"I'm hungry. Bring me foods" He answered and immediately jumped from the tree. Actually, one thing that I found weird about Shouta, time to time, he acts not as a human. For example, just now, he jumped on a tree. Its normal, right? But not normal, if the top of the tree is as high of where my class is, which is located on the eight floor of the building.

I told Anna about it and she said that he might be part of the circus gang before. She hasn't met him. Actually, no one has seen him except for the teachers who were present that day. Well, who cares, I mean, Shouta is a funny guy with beautiful face like an angel, and also voice that can melt you instantly.

I skipped my class and immediately went back to my room, just to find my partner lying down on the carpeted floor, watching a TV show.

"Welcome back. What were you doing on top of the tree after a week when you were away"

"Admiring the scenery. Where's my food?"

"Here" Once I put down the food down, he immediately opened it and ate them

I have a weird relationship with this human I summoned. I sometimes didn't know who is the master, who is the servant, that's why I decided him to be my partner and friend instead. He sometimes order me, I sometimes order him. But most of the time, I always felt thrill when he is not in the mood. He is strong, but he kept on saying that he is weak.

"Then, where did you go, Shouta-kun?"

"So you all know, next month, we will be having an exhibition game, with your summoned beast and monster" But I felt how the teacher and my classmates looked at me and sneered "Ah, I forgot, we have someone here who summoned a peasant like her." The all laughed and again the teacher continued "So you need to train them. All the monsters, beasts, human that were summoned two months ago must compete, you will let them fight on the arena, whether you are a high rank, a middle class, or a peasant" Again, they laughed at me

"So unpleasant human" We all shifted our eyes to the direction of the voice, and to my surprise, Shouta was leaning his body on the door frame, wearing a blue yukata. Yukata?! Why Yukata?!

"Who are you?!" They all shouted but I could see how they blushed when he smiled at them, a fake smile indeed.

"Why are you here?" I asked as he slowly approached me

"I was invited by my friend in Hakone onsen. I am here to get you"

"I'm in the middle of my class. Go back"

"I am here, so I'll go get you. Whether you like it or not" He declared and then picked me up with one hand. I tried to resist, but he was too strong all of a sudden. "Well then, let's go"

"Eh?! From here?!" I shouted as I felt dizzy looking down "T-this is the eight floor!"

"Who cares?" He responded then turned around and made a sweet gentle smile "Well then, I'll be leaving now, with this human here. Ah, how about you all die and rot" Even I felt the thrill from his words.

But I shouldn't think of that! "Ahhhhhhhhhh!!!!" I could feel my soul coming out of me as we fall from the window of my class. "I'm falling, I'm falling!!!!!!"

I waited for the impact, but it didn't happen.

"We're here" I opened my eyes and what the heck just happened?! We arrived in Hakone! Eh?!

"Ah, Shouta, you are here already"

"Kensho, you are earlier than expected."

I stood dumbfounded to what just happened. And who is this other person? What is this, a dream? "S-shouta...?"

"Then who is this? A new maid?" The man named Kensho looked at me confusedly

"The one who summoned me, (L/N) (F/N)." As Shouta-kun responded, this Kensho here smiled devilishly "Pretty amazing, don't you think?"

"Yeah, to think that someone from this world can summon you. I see, so this is your master for the time being. Well then, Shouta, (F/N), let's have fun!"

As such, I was pulled on their pace, and they played all day, all night. At first night, I followed them behind, but on the next day, I also went to have fun myself and let them be. I had lots of questions, but they were all dodged by these two.

As we were eating dinner on our last day here in Hakone, Shouta and Kensho were only eating little food. Though remembering now, they only eat a little, but they were pure of energy.

"But still, do you feel weak, Shouta? You don't have any plan on going back?" I was confused on what Kensho said, but I pretended that I didn't care

"I am still weak. But I am sure that my source here"

I looked at Shouta and I knew that the two of them were looking at me. I was so innocent that I didn't know what they meant, so I just continued eating.

"I think I'll drop by your school some other time. I want to play with (F/N) too"

"Don't go, you are only in the way."

"Go play with us, Kensho." I interrupted Shouta and smiled towards Kensho then glared at Shouta "You won't get cheese, so shut up and let him visit us"

I heard him clicked his tongue and Kensho laughed as he finished his dish "I see, that's why you wanted to stay here. You sure are one hell of a demon, Shouta"

"I am, specifically a king"

"You two sure talk with complicated things" I commented

"By the way, about what that woman said, your teacher was it?" I tilted my head trying to remember what he was talking about "You summoning a human?"

"Ah, that. Yeah, I was ranked as a peasant when I summoned a human, when I summoned Shouta"

"Eh? Peasant, you?!" I was startled as Kensho shouted and his fork just flew behind me "And Shouta, a human?!"

"Hmmm, me, a human, huh?"

"Of course, what else would be?" I shook my head and chuckled "But since I summonded Shouta, my days became interesting. Even though they rank me as the lowest, I really don't care. I'm having fun"

"Neh, Shouta, play in the human world for the meantime. I'll cover your work over there"

"You are right, well then." Shouta-kun stood up and stretched his arms "(F/N) we're going home"

"Huh?!" As he said that, he snapped his finger, and we returned to my room "Shouta, what on earth are you?"

"As what people said, I am a peasant like what human said" He smirked and changed from yukata to pajama in just a snapped.

"You are not a human, definetely not. Also somehow, I prefer seeing you in yukata. But oh well, if you still hide it, then I'll wait for you to say it. Good night! But you are definitely not a human!" On the back of my head, I have my answer to what he might be, but I didn't want to believe.

That next day, I walked towards my class but then again everyone looked at me. However, they weren't shouting at me, instead, they were murmuring, but still I could feel how disgust they were.

I sat on my usual seat, reading the notes I missed.

"(L/N) (F/N), you are called to the director's office" Someone called me and he looked at me in disgust

I went to the director's office and he told the others that he would talk to me in private. As the other teachers left, he looked at me worriedly.

"I heard that someone got you from your class a week ago, (L/N)-san"

"Yes, its the human I summoned" I answered and I could see how his eyes widened

"You... Its you who summoned a human...?!" I nodded slightly and he made a deep thought "(L/N)-san, you must kill the human you summoned"

"Director... Just now... You want me to kill my partner?"

"You are a human with high potential, and summoning a human is a disgrace to you"

"I really don't mind, since he is not doing anything th-"

"(L/N), a human summoning a human is not applicable to you" He interrupted me. But, Shouta isn't a threat to me. "This is an order, (L/N)-san."

With heavy feeling, I went back to my class. Do I need to do that?

I sat down on my usual seat, and my mind was obviously floating. No, I'm obviously on deep thought about what the director said.

"Is (L/N) (F/N) here?" Again, someone called me before our last class.

"Ah, the rank 1 in school, Yanagi Nanase" I heard my classmates reacted. I only heard of her, but never saw her.

They all looked towards me, answering her question "Can I talk to you?"

I followed her behind and as expected from rank 1, I could feel that she summoned the strongest beast of all.

"Uhm..."

"The director talked to me" She started as she turned around "On the day of the presentation, my beast will accidentaly kill the human you summoned. Of course, that's obvious since human is weak against beast."

"I apologize, but I have no plan on letting Shout died on that exhibition match"

"You have no option, (L/N)." She

"So that's what they told me, Shouta"

"Hmmmm. Interesting"

I told Shouta what they told me. I didn't hide any single information, I honestly told him everything.

"I don't want that to happen"

"Then, what do you want me to do, (F/N)?" I looked at him seriously and he smirked "I will not die, just tell me what to do. Ah but you know the price"

"I'll give you as much as you want, I just don't want you to be killed or to kill. Please, Shouta"

"Roger! Don't worry, I will not die, no matter what."

"Thank you, Shouta. I'll give you all the cheese you want. So let's go and train"

"Its fine if I don't train. Don't worry, I'll handle all of them"

"I know you are strong, and you are definitely a huma, but still... we are talking about monsters and beasts here"

"(F/N), stop worrying. Anyway, I'm hungry"

I just sighed in defeat and got cheese for him. I honestly didn't know why, but I knew he could do it.

As days passed, I couldn't help but feel anxious. The exhibition game was killing me, while Shouta sure was calm and he really didn't care.

"You look horrible, (F/N)"

"Anna, I'm nervous" I sighed as I sat down on the bench inside the academy's colloseum. Anna hugged me tightly and she rested my head on her chest, calming me down

"I want you to summon another beast, but I don't want the human you summoned to be killed in this way."

"Shouta said he will be okay, but still"

"Hey, don't tell me you like the human you summoned? You've been living with him, right?" As she asked that, I felt my face heat up, and I felt so nervous.

"N-no, I mean, we're friends, actually..." I stuttered, and I was saved since the game would start.

Everyone shouted in excitement, and everyone cheered on the beast they bet. The exhibition game is only for our year level, and the favor is of course for Yanagi Nanase.

The summoned monsters and beasts entered the arena, and I roamed my eyes to find Shouta nowhere.

However, I could feel guys jeered, and girls giggled as Shouta entered wearing a black tailed coat suit, and his hair was nicely styled on the side.

"He loves to be flashy" I commented

"(F/N), that was the person who kidnapped you"

"Ah, that's the human I summoned" I responded to Anna

"He's so handsome! Wait, he's more beautiful than me!" She commented as the video focused on him

I watched Shouta-kun stood at one corner, monsters and beasts growled at him. He was smirking. He waved at me as he noticed me. I waved shyly, but still I felt nervous.

The head teacher responsible on this game made the opening remark, and indirectly telling me that if a beast or a monster, and yes a human would be killed, its an accident. It means that we, students didn't train them well. The director just entered and I could see him talking to Yanagi.

"Ah there he is, there he is!" I flinched once Kensho suddenly showed up beside me. "He told me to check this so I dropped by"

"Kensho, when did you arrive?"

"Just now. I went to check something in Kyoto, but I'll stop by here first"

"Game start!" We shifted our eyes back to the arena, and they all gathered around Shouta-kun

"Poor them" I heard Kensho commented

As he said that, Shouta walked to the middle. The beasts and monsters were growling but weren't attacking him

"So, I see that you are the strongest here" Shouta said. Loud enough for everyone to hear.

"That's Yanagi's beast" I heard the students around us murmured

I felt my chest tighten, and I couldn't breath because of nervousness. Shouta, be careful.

However, I was surprised when he started singing. His voice was really mesmerizing, as if an angel descended from heaven. Everyone calmed down, but after he finished singing,

"I think I should bring you back to the underworld" As Shouta-kun said that, the beast moved back, and even the others around. He snapped his finger, and the beast around them stopped moving, and started to whimper.

"Shou...ta?"

"I'm still weak, but you are far weaker than me" Shouta then smiled, but I knew this smile. "Know your place, you are in front of the devil king of the underworld" The beast in front of him, shrunk and the other beast fall on the ground. Shouta stood victorious in the middle of the arena, silencing everyone.

"Yo, congratulations maou-sama!" Kensho shouted

"Shouta is a demon king?!"
