It happened one morning. It supposed to be a normal day, but I didn't expect a superficial thing to happen.

I got the eyeglass on my side table and went down to eat breakfast.

"Did you change your eyeglass, (F/N)?" My sister asked as she handed a cup of hot chocolate

"No, I bumped into someone yesterday and we switched eyeglass. It was surprising that we have the same eye prescription, so I am using his." I answered gazing on my plate

"Oh? A guy? Then how about your spare?" My mom asked as she put on the egg and bacon on my plate

"Yeah, I think, since I heard that it was a male voice. But we were both in rush, so I didn't notice that I grabbed the wrong eyeglass" I yawned and stretched my hands "my spare eyeglass is currently on repair."

I looked at mom and squinted my eyes towards her

"You might hurt your eyes more, so hurry up and call your-"

"Mom, what's with that red string on your pinky finger?" I asked curiously

"String?" She asked and looked at her pinky finger "what are you saying?"

"She is still sleepy, don't mind her" my sister commented and I looked at her and she also has a red string on her pinky finger.

"Good morning" dad entered the dining room and kissed mom on the cheeks. I blinked fast and dad also has a red string. It is connected to mom.

I took off my eyeglass and there were no strings at all. Once I put it back, the red string is really in there!

"I am losing my appetite" I mumbled and I kept on glimpsing on their pinky finger.

After eating breakfast, I went to my room and looked at my pinky finger and there's a red string too it wasn't extending.

Don't tell me, the owner of this can see the people who are connected to each other?!

I should find that guy and give this back to him.

...

Before that, should I first find the person who is connected to mine?

Ah but... Mine isn't extending... I am not connected to anyone?!

It was really eye widening since I could see red strings on their pinky fingers. Especially here in the subway. There were some who are already together, and some who are strangers. Fun fact, there are those who are sitting next to each other but didn't bother to talk to each other. There are also who have a lover, but the string isn't connected.

To my surprise too, there were people who started talking for the first time and the red string on their pinky finger started to extend and connect to each other.

Its a very amusing phenomenon for me.

As for the string in my pinky finger, I could see the string, but still it wasn't extending. So it means, I haven't met the person destined to be with me.

Don't tell me?! It is not connected to someone? Or what if it is connected to a woman...

No... impossible...!

"(F/N), (F/N)?"

I turned around and my classmate since high school and a male co-worker were approaching me.

"Good morning, Rina-chan, Yuya-kun." I greeted them but smiled on the side when I noticed the a thread of red string on their pinky finger.

They walked beside me and I giggled inside seeing that they are connected to each other.

"Ah, by the way, (F/N), you are the one who will go today, right?"

"Hmm? Where?" I asked Rina-chan

"To deliver our products in VIMS agency. I heard they ordered lots of computer parts, and I heard that your team was the one who has a connection there. So as the supervisor of your team, you will tag along"

Ah... Too bad, I couldn't go hunting today. Oh well...

On our way to VIMS agency, my eyes were twitching. Not even morning had passed since I found out what this eyeglass can do, but my eyes hurt so bad.

"Eeto, (L/N)-san, once we arrived there, we will do the talking. You can rest here in the car. You look so tired and-"

"Its fine. I'll go with you. But please do the talking." I responded and massage the temple of my nose. Its straining my eyes.

After 30 minutes of drive, we arrived on the parking lot. I took off the eyeglass, and asked one of my co-worker that I would hold her hand for a while.

But because I needed to work, I put it on and started working.

They did the talking, but halfway they looked at me, pleading to save them.

"Thank you for explaining clearly" the head director said

"I heard new computer parts arrived" Two men I didn't know enter the room. Seemed people working here.

"Oh, Morikubo-kun, and Kaji-kun is also here." The director greeted them. "Yeah, the one you asked also arrived"

I unconsciously looked at their pinky fingers and my eyes widened when that the red string of that Kaji guy is directing towards our area, but his was cut off. I looked behind me and noticed that one of the female worker here was standing behind me. And hers was cut off too. Probably, they haven't talk to each other?

I wonder how does this red string of fate works? I am really confused...

"Ah!" We all flinched when that Kaji guy shouted. I shifted my eyes towards him and he bowed down and apologize "sorry, nothing, please continue"

And so the head director and I continued talking to each other... But...

I felt someone staring at me from the back.

They started unloading the computer parts. As for me, I leaned my back on the wall here on the parking lot, and my eyes really hurt. Its probably because I wore someone else's eyeglass.

"Uhm... (L/N) (F/N)-san, right?"

I turned to my side and blinked fast. It was unexpected that this person would approach me.

"Y-yes... Eeto... Kaji...san? Right?" I asked and he nodded. He seemed fidgeting though "can I help you? Are there something wrong with the orders?"

"No, they were all fine. I am here with different reason" he scratched his chin and then pointed on me

"Me? Eh?"

"The eyeglass you are wearing..."

"Ah... this one? I bumped into someone yesterday and we switched eyeglass. Surprisingly, we have the same eye vision" I explained and smiled at him but was surprised when he handed my eyeglass "eh?!?!

"It was me"

"Kaji-san...!"

He made a big wide smile that his cheeks wanted to burst out.

"Also, I found out your secret" he said and then whispered to me "you can see red strings of fate"

I looked at him and shook my head "that's you. I can see the red string through your eyeglass"

There was a minute of silence and we both just looked at each other. Without saying anything, we exchanged eyeglass but we hurriedly took it off.

"Do you feel it too, (L/N)-san?" Kaji-san asked and I nodded "it was like an electricity..."

"What the heck was that?!" I breathed heavily and looked at Kaji-san "d-don't tell me...?"

"I think we are thinking the same thing" he sighed and handed his eyeglass back to me "I don't believe in this kind of phenomenon, but... to think that... but..."

"You don't need to say it... I understand what you are trying to say..."

We both sighed loudly, but he laughed at the end.

"I don't know, but this is some kind of destiny. Please to be in your care, (L/N) (F/N)-san. I'm Kaji Yuki"

"Please to be in your care, Kaji-san. I think in order for us to return from our normal self, we need to help the others to be with their destined person."

He crossed his arms and nodded, agreeing to what I said "that's surely the case. Yosh, (L/N)-san, let's exchange Line address. Then let's meet up some times and work together. But of course  let's help the others on our own too"

Because of what's happening, I gave my Line address without a second thought. And after that, we started our mission and found a pair among my co-workers.

Because of what Kaji-san and I did, the news circled inside the building where I work. And also, everytime there are orders in VIMS, I volunteered to lead them.

Even in VIMS, I became famous that I could link them to their destined partner.

But...

Why just me...?!

"Ah, I haven't done it..."

Was his response when I asked him. Though we always hang out just to watch people if they are destined or not. He was laughing to the point that his cheeks might burst.

Also, I was surprised that we could bump each other inside the train. At first, it was awkward, but later on we get used to it. I didn't ask personal information. Yes, even inside the train, we would watch people's red string.

"But I am surprised you became friends with the famous Kaji Yuki"

I looked at Rina-chan and tilted my head "Famous Kaji Yuki?"

"Why don't you search his name on google and see it yourself?" I did what she said and my eyes just widened and I was speechless "He is a seiyuu, and you haven't realized? VIMS agency is an agency for seiyuu. You met Morikubo-san too, right? He is also a seiyuu"

"W-wow... I didn't know..." I gulped. It will be awkward later since we planned to meet up. "Rina-chan, can you-"

"Sorry, I can't go. Yuya and I have a date today"

I raised my brow and crossed my arms "now, now, now... Just because your red string of fate is connected to him, you will leave your bestfriend behind. Just because you got a boyfriend of your own-"

"I've been thinking this, who is your destined partner, (F/N)?"

"I don't know. I am not looking for him" I answered but stared on my pinky finger. The truth is, mine already extended, but cut off.

I sighed loudly and then my phone vibrated.

"Since I have stuffs to do in VIMS, let's meet there"

I replied an okay sticker and he also did the same. But then I used it as the opportunity to ask him

"I heard you are a seiyuu, Kaji-san"

"You didn't know? I am a seiyuu 😂"

"First time hearing about it. Ah, by the way, since you can see red strings, did you try looking for your own destined person?"

"... Yeah, I did"

"Then...?"

But instead of replying a word, he sent a sticker that was grinning, in which I replied with a sticker that was getting mad.

"Anyways, see you later (F/N)-san!"

Ah yeah, he started calling me by my first name. But before that, what's with him?! Not telling me if he already find his destined person!

...

But because I felt so agitated, I accidentally threw my phone.

"Ah... The usual pattern of (F/N) everytime she is frustrated over something." I heard Rina-chan as I ran to get my broken phone.

It was still turning on but the screen was already broken.

I message Kaji-san that I would get a new phone first before going to VIMS.

Why am I getting agitated?!

After buying a new phone, I headed to VIMS agency. It wasn't for a business reason, its just a normal day to connect destined people.

While I was waiting for him, a woman approached me, having a big wide smile.

I remember, she was the person behind me before that had her string cut off too... same with Kaji-san...

Ouch, I felt a sting on my chest.

"I heard you are the person that could see the red string of fate?" She blushed while fidgeting

"Well, not can see, but I might help you with the person destined to you. But there are times that its not showing" I answered but asked myself why I lied that I couldn't see it.

"Then... Is it okay if I asked you, if my destined person is Kaji Yuki-san?"

I flinched from her plead and I slowly nodded.

"I'll try." I answered and looked at the red string on her pinky.

"Ah, here he comes"

I shifted my gaze to Kaji-san and he was walking with three other staffs. But I gazed down since the string on Kaji's pinky is extended towards our direction. Though they are still cut off, its easy to realize that they are connected to each other.

"Did you see something?" She asked and I gripped my hand behind me

"S-sorry, I didn't see anything"

I again lied...

"Ah, I still need to become more aggressive then. Thank you"

She smiled at me and it was then Kaji-san arrived.

I'm the worst...

But why did I lie to her?
It was best to tell her, but there was something on my throat preventing me to say it.

Ah...

Its probably because I started to like him..
But I didn't know him until recently... So why? Because we share something that the others didn't know? Or because of his bubbly personality?

In any case, one this is for sure...
I didn't like the fact that he is connected to someone else.
