"I heard you fail your Math test again, (F/N). You will repeat a year if you fail the make-up test"

"Hina, please don't add salt on my wound. I don't know what should I do!" I slumped my face on my table and sobbed. How on earth this happened?! I studied a lot but why did I fail?!

"(F/N) we heard you also fail the Math test!" I glared at these people who just approached us and they just laughed

"Ah, the fail people are together" Hina teasingly laughed at us and I just sighed in disappointment. I stared at my paper and again sighed

"Let's see what your mistakes are." My paper left my hand as I looked above me and Umehara was smiling while looking at my paper "Hmmm, your methods were correct, just small detail mistakes halfway"

"Umehara, it's no use. We will surely fail the remake exam, and we will repeat a year" Kurosaki, one of our friend laughed. Urgh, I didn't want to! Plus, if that would happen, I wouldn't be able to graduate with Umehara.

"I don't know about you, but (F/N) will pass the exam" I looked at Umehara and he was looking at me "shall I teach you?"

"Ume-chan is really nice. But (F/N) is one of us. Don't bother, don't bother" these people, they just say whatever they want to say

"Shut up you guys. At least Umehara believes in me that I can graduate" I sighed and again looked at Umehara "Thank you and sorry about that" I knew to myself that my face had a bit shaded of red because of embarrassment, I tried my best to act normal. Plus, Umehara and I had an unknown relationship during these past three years in high school. We were so close!

"No problem." He answered and then patted my head "If you fail, and need to repeat a year, then I'll do the same"

Everyone, including me, was very surprised to what he just said. Was he serious?! Was he?!

"Umehara! Don't flirt! You bastard!" Kurosaki cuddled at him and he seemed whispered something that made Umehara nodded in response.

"I sympathy you Umehara-kun. Being dragged down by (L/N). You shouldn't concern yourself to people who are meant to fail" Risa retorted and shook her head with her friends agreeing to her. From the very start, Risa and I didn't get along. Why? Aside from Umehara being too attached with me, Hina was the school principal's daughter and a major celebrity in school, and Hina flat rejected her in front of everyone during our first year choosing me over her.

"I really don't mind, as long as I graduate with (F/N)" his smile was a rare treasure to see and yet he smiles a lot while saying those things. "So let's meet later in the library, okay? I'll just go somewhere with Kurosaki"

"Got it. Again, Thank you and sorry about that."

He responded with a sweet gentle smile.

Later that day, since Umehara still had things to do, after class, I immediately went to the library to finish the novel I was reading. I was actually fond of reading novel and literature that was why I got high grades to those class, but in Math, barely passing.

There were lots of students studying in the library and I had no space to sit in. What should we do later?

I roamed around the library and luckily spotted a chair at the very back of the library beside the window.

"For now I'll sit here"

I was soaked to my own world but didn't realize that I fall asleep.

But, who was it? I knew I was half-asleep. I had no urge of waking up and not wanting to open my eyes but I felt it, someone was near me. Someone was kissing me.

I opened my eyes once I felt that my book fall off and the warm soft lips just moved away from me.

But once I opened it, there was no one. I saw a deserted alley of books. I touched my lips and I was still on dazed to what just happened. It tasted like caramel. I was about to run and thought that I might have a chance to see who was it, but Umehara and Kurosaki suddenly appeared that startled me

"Here you- (F/N)?" Umehara seemed realized my face that was pure red. I was so embarrassed. "You too Kurosaki" I looked at him and his face was so red too "What's wrong with the two of you?"

"Sorry Umehara, I'll join you tomorrow. I'm going home today" he ran out of the library with face so red

"Then, shall we start, (F/N)? Or you seemed not okay, do you want to just start tomorrow instead?"

I shook my head and calmed myself "No, let's go"

"Let's go to the classroom. My things are in there. Besides, the library will close now"

"Eh? What do you mean?"

As we walked out of the aisle, there was no one except for the 2nd year librarian. "We are the only people here now. It will be nearly 5 in the afternoon" I looked at him with confused face. Then it was either Kurosaki or Umehara, the one who kissed me?

And for a week, Umehara and I stayed in the classroom as he taught me Math. Kurosaki also joined us, but he would left midway leaving me with Umehara.

"(F/N), just stay calm and surely you will pass the exam"

"Yeah, since you taught me, I will do my best. Thank you very much. Do not worry, I will not fail since I had a great teacher"

He patted my head and smiled but the others' face were so pale. After class, we all waited for our Math teacher and he was grinning at us once he entered the room.

The exam took an hour and yes, I was 100% sure that I would pass the exam.

Once sensei left, our other friends entered the room with foods on their hands.

"Thanks for the good work. You all did a good job" Hina laughed

Umehara on the other hand went towards me.

"Don't worry, I'll pass" I assured him and he nodded in response.

We ate first before going home.

That next day, before entering the class. Kurosaki stopped me and his face was flustered.

"Good morning, Kurosaki. What's wrong?"

"Uhm, after class, can we meet at the rooftop? I need to tell you something"

"Yeah sure" I answered as he bowed down and left. Once I opened the door, Risa was standing and was about to leave. Well, she didn't say anything and just left with smirk on her face

"Good morning, (F/N)!" Umehara and Hina waved at me with big wide smile.

"Good morning. You guys are so early, what's up?" I walked towards them confusedly since it was rare for the two of them to be in the school this early, and talking to each other

"We both have morning activities" they both answered and laughed. I found it weird, but I just pouted my lips and put down my things.

It was then one of our classmate who I also took the retake exam yesterday opened the room wide open and shouted "Guys! Those who retake the exam yesterday! Seemed Katou-sensei already finished checking the exam! He hurriedly finished checking it"

We felt flustered and excited at the same time. But I knew it, I would pass. I looked at Umehara and he was worriedly looking at me, but I assured him with a big wide smile.

And during our math class. Katou-sensei was looking at us with mocking smile.

But then he sighed and with low tone "Congratulations, all of you will graduate" And that, I immediately looked at Umehara and made a peace sign. He was doing the same. "I'll give your test back. Start with (L/N)" he sighed and seemed uncertain "You got a perfect score"

I excitedly went in front and got my test back. It was real! I got a perfect score.

Sensei gave the retaker's tests back and then continued the class lecture. After that, I immediately went towards Umehara and bowed my head down.

"Umehara Yuuichirou, thank you very much for teaching me these past week! I am very grateful that I will be graduating with everyone!"

"You're welcome" his smile was a real jewel. "As long as I would graduate with you, then that would be fine."

"(F/N), today, I can't go home with you. So Ume-chan will send you home, okay? Oops, need to run to the library" Hina appeared suddenly then immediately left us

"She told me this morning." I looked at Umehara as he gave me a chocolate "Here, eat this for now. You looked so stress."

"Uhm, can you wait for me a bit later? I have something to do after class"

"Sure"

However, after class, Kurosaki confessed to me. I did reject him and told him that I had someone that I like. I didn't mention the name, but he seemed to know who.

Though, that same day, when I returned to the classroom. Umehara wasn't there anymore. He just messaged me that he headed home first

The next day, I was surprised when everyone in the class congratulated me and even Kurosaki who came in after me.

"What's wrong?" We confusedly asked them

"You two are going out now, right? Who confessed who yesterday? At the rooftop?"

"Wait, how'd-?"

"Who is today's class duty? Sensei asked to get the print outs in the teacher's office" one of our classmate suddenly entered the classroom.

Umehara stood up silently and left the room. As for me, I immediately ran after him

"Wait, Umehara"

"Sorry, about yesterday I left suddenly. Also, congratulations about you and Kurosaki" he faced me but I could notice that it wasn't his usual smile. I need to clear up this understanding

"No, actually-"

"Umehara-kun" Great! Risa appeared behind me and her smile was worst as ever "Oh, and (L/N). I heard about it, you and Kurosaki. Congrats" she made a victorious smile and when she passed by me, she whispered "Isn't it great? Your first kiss and first boyfriend" eh? "I'm also today's class duty, let's go Umehara-kun"

"Well then, (F/N)" he bowed down and the two of them left

Risa knew about the kiss? Eh? I totally forgot about that kiss. I was soaked with my time with Umehara. Then, the one who kissed me was Kurosaki? I only told Hime about it. I took it seriously at first, but because Hina told me that it was just a kiss, I should just focus on what I feel towards Umehara.

But the one I like was Umehara

I woke up with the sound of my alarm ringing continuously. I turned it off, and sat down.

"Why do I need to dream that?" I mumbled as I got my phone. I stared at my phone and chuckled on my wallpaper and bunch of notifications. "After that day, Umehara made a space between us. I even made a space between me and Kurosaki" I sighed and checked my notifications. It was all from Umehara.

It had been a month since we started going out. Every day, without fail, Umehara messaged me, call me, and during his free time we would meet. Though, I sometimes suggest him to stay in his house and take a rest.

Well, he did promise me and told me when he confessed, that he would make up the time we weren't together. I was happy, since he never failed to show his affection towards me. But one thing was uncertain, why did he apologize that time.

When we saw each other for the first time again, we were indeed shocked, and he immediately invited me to have a coffee after his meeting. 

And the first thing he did, he bowed down his head, so low that everyone around the coffee shop looked at us. I asked him why and he just said that because of how he acted when we were in high school. Why did he apologize? It supposed to be me.

I was startled when my phone vibrated and it was from Umehara. I immediately answered it

"Good morning"

"Oh, did I wake you?" his low voice was my refreshment in the morning. "Did you sleep well?"

"I just woke up. And yes, I slept well, you? Sorry, I wasn't able to message you back. I fall asleep"

"I did, and do not worry about it." I heard him chuckled. "By the way, you only have morning class again today, right?"

"Yeah, why?"

"I'll see in your school this afternoon. There's someone who wants to see you. I'll message you later. I need to go. See you, I love you"

"See you. I love you too" I hanged up the phone and threw myself back on my bed "Ah, this is making me crazy"

As I stood dumbfounded in the cafeteria, Umehara was smiling and beside him stood the man who was the reason why we had a conflict during our high school

"This is surprising" I heard Hina commented on the side as she looked away smiling bitterly.

"Long time no see, Kurosaki" I awkwardly smiled and waved at him "I didn't know that the two of you will come"

"We always hang out together since we graduated" Umehara answered as he smiled "I told him that we are now going out, so since he came back from his intern, he at least wanted to say hi"

"Ume-chan, you do realize what you are doing, right?"

"I do" he answered Hina's questions as he smiled at me

"Wait, uhm, yes, it is really awkward. And, I will just go see my uncle. He is a professor here. T-then, I'll go back"

"Umehara, why don't you go with him?" I suggested and he nodded

Once they left, I sat down and breathe loudly. "What should I do, Hina?"

"What? Act normal, (F/N)"

"Who the heck is that guy?" Aki and Yuri asked in chorus.

Hina told them as I remained silence.

"Hey bitch, I heard you and Umehara-kun already kissed." Risa stood up beside our table crossing her arms and having a mocking smile "How was it? From your second boyfriend and second kiss"

"I thought he is your first boyfriend, (F/N)?" Yuri asked confusedly

"He is, but not my first kiss" I answered honestly. "Amusing, why are you talking to us, Risa?"

"Easy, because you are a mere liar. You are deceiving Umehara-kun"

"Hey slut, will you shut up?" Hina chuckled that even I was surprised to what she said "You don't know anything"

"I know everything" Risa proudly answered "This bitch has been lying to Umehara-"

"I told you to shut up, or I'll cut your tongue" Hina was on her sadist mode! "Well, if you want to be humiliated once more, then go ahead. I told you, you don't know anything so shut up and get lost"

"Hina, you are still trying to defend your friend who is lying to Umehara-kun being her first boyfriend and first kiss. How much do you want to be with Umehara-kun, (L/N)?"

"I want to be with him always" I answered "I will tell him everything. It is true that he is my first boyfriend, but I will tell him about what happened in the library"

"It's because you did that, she is having trouble with it"

"Eh? But I didn't know that it will cause something like this"

"You two, since when are you standing here? No, not that, what did you just say?"

"For a while now" Umehara answered as he walked beside me "Sorry, I didn't know that my action in the library that day would become a big issue to you" he ran his hand through my hair and chuckled "It was me"

"No, it was Kurosaki, right?! Because you left with flustered face!" Risa shouted loudly

"Because I saw what Umehara did, I was surprised and felt embarrassed. Also, she rejected me flatly when I confessed to her. I already told Umehara about that after graduation. We tried to look for (L/N), but we didn't know where they entered University" Kurosaki explained diligently then looked at me. "I'm sorry, (L/N)."

"No don't worry about it"

"Are you just making this up?"

"You slut woman who told Ume-chan that day about Kurosaki and (F/N), you don't know when to shut up, do you?" Hina stood up and walked towards her "Shut up and get lost or you really want me to cut your tongue?"

Risa rolled her eyes and hurriedly left. Hina then looked at me and Umehara "You two also, go somewhere else and talk. I also need to punish Kurosaki here. We will do our celebration later"

"Yes, Ma'am" we both answered since we felt the menacing glare from Hina.

Umehara and I hurriedly went out and found a place with no one around. He was tightly holding my hand

"Umehara"

"Hmmm?"

"About that, uhm, what do you mean by that?"

"That?"

"Library"

"Ah" Umehara let go of my hand and bowed down his head "Sorry! I kiss you without ypur consent. I really like you since we were in first year high school. But I had no courage to confess. I was happy to see you smiling, and I was satisfied."

"Uhm, wait, Ume-"

"I was supposed to confess to you that day we supposed to go home together, but Risa came to the room and told me that you went to see Kurosaki and he might send you home instead. I was dejected. But if that would make you happy, I told myself that I would just shut my feelings inside me."

"Umehara!" I called him out but still his head was down. "Please look at me" he moved his head up a bit and I softly held his cheeks as I moved his head to properly look at me "Thank you. I was surprised, but now I am fine. I love you, Umehara Yuuichirou!" my face turned really red when I said that,

Umehara suddenly hugged me that surprised me, but I hugged him back "I regret it so much when I heard from Kurosaki what really happened. I really love you, (F/N)"

Umehara moved back and smiled as he moved his face closer and closer and gave me a sweet kiss on the lips. It tasted like caramel

I knew this sensation. Yes, it was really him. The one who stole my first kiss

"Ah so pure" we both jolted as we both looked behind me. Hina, Kurosaki, Aki and Yuri stood with face so red and teasing faces

"You heard?"

"Of course. How sweet and how pure. Ume-chan and (F/N), though I really love to see you together, you are both idiot but so pure" Hina chuckled and winked at us "Let's go, it's my treat today"

Umehara held my hand as we both followed them. And as no one was looking at us, Umehara again gave me a kiss on the lips "I love you"
