Thomas in a Toga

The next morning, Tom and Y/n woke up late again.

"I don't want to get out of bed," Y/n complained, "Can I go back to bed."

"Love, we're leaving for Rome tonight," Tom said, "Who knows the next time we'll be in Greece?"

"We're both rich, well you are," Y/n mumbled, "And once I become good at acting, then I'll get money, so soon."

"I'd like to spend the time we have here now, to the fullest," Tom said.

Y/n yawned, "Okay, we're we going today?"

"We'll be going to the Panathenaic Stadium, the Temple of Zeus, the Temple of Hephestus, Plaka, and the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier."

"I like the sound of that," Y/n grinned, but then frowned, "So, do I have to get up right now?"

"Love, we have a day full of things to do," Tom sighed, picking her up out of bed, "It's already ten, we need to go right now."

Y/n kissed him on the cheek, "please put me now," she smiled.

Tom put her down, and she hurried, getting ready, causing him to chuckle softly.

"How do I look?" Y/n asked, posing as she walked out of the bathroom, "Do you think a Greek dude would buy me some shwarma, or a gyro looking like this?"

"No," Tom said simply.

"Why not?" Y/n asked, furrowing her eyebrows, "Do you not like it."

"I love it," Tom said, kissing her forehead, "I'm just not going to let 'a Greek dude buy you some shwarma,' that's what I'm here for."

Y/n frowned, but secretly grinned, going to put her Van's on.

Again, as they did in Paris, they cleaned up the Airbnb, then dropping their luggage off to a luggage storage shop, and got into their rental car.

The first place they arrived at; was the Panathenaic Stadium.

Y/n looked around the giant track, "You could fit hundreds of people in here."

"That's what the seating is here for," Tom said.

"Oh," Y/n said, "right."

They looked at it for a bit, as Y/n insisted that they should.

"I changed my mind," Y/n said.

"Y-you did?" Tom said, starting to get nervous.

"Yeah," Y/n said, turning to face him, causing him to panic even more.

"I don't want to leave tonight," she frowned.

A wave of relief washed over Tom, making him smile.

"As you said," he told her, "we can come back."

An amused smile formed on Y/n's face, "Okay, I'd love that."

They walked around a bit longer, then got back into the car, heading to the Temple of Zeus.

"I still don't like Zeus," Y/n said, gazing out the window.

"I know," Tom said, "but this is an important part of ancient Greece."

"That doesn't change my opinion about him," Y/n said,

"Well, this will still be good for you," Tom said distractedly, making a left turn.

"How do you know what's good for me?" Y/n asked, raising an eyebrow.

"Because that's my opinion!" Tom finished, causing Y/n to burst out laughing, while Tom tried to hold his laughter back, so he wouldn't crash the car.

"That's why I love you," Y/n beamed after she stopped laughing, "You just get me."

"I'm glad," Tom said, "Because I love you because of that as well."

"Ew, now we're just getting sappy," Y/n said, scrunching her nose up.

"We don't have time for that, don't we," Tom said, parking in the parking lot."We have places to be."

He got out and opened Y/n's door for her, causing her to slightly blush.

"You don't have to be such a gentleman," Y/n said, as Tom locked the car, and put a hand out for her to hold.

"I do it because I want to," he said with a wink, and they walked up to get tickets to see the temple.

"That is huge," Y/n said, gazing at the ancient temple, "I refuse to accept the fact that normal people, built this with their own hands."

"How else would they have done it back then?" Tom asked, raising an eyebrow.

"I don't know," Y/n said, "This is usually when my dad spews out information about a certain place- oh looks like it's Dylan this time."

"Did you know that the Temple of Zeus is one of the largest ancient temples," Y/n read, "and that the most recent collum fell in 1852. ps, send me a picture of you next to the fallen column when you go."

Tom smiled as she looked up from her phone, "I guess you have to get a picture."

"Would you like to do the honors?" Y/n asked, holding her phone out to Tom, as though it was a sword.

"I would love to do the honors," Tom grinned, graciously taking the phone from Y/n.

Y/n quickly walked over the column Dylan told her to stand in front of, as she felt awkward running, so fast walking would have to do for now.

"Did you see that?"

"Isn't that Tom Holland and Y/n L/n?"

"Yeah, did you see how cute it was when Tom smiled, as he received the phone from Y/n?"

"How can she be so lucky? Getting the cutest guy in the world."

Tom ignored the growing whispers from behind him, "Darling!" he yelled, and then held up three fingers, "Three... two... one..."

Y/n smiled as Tom took the photos, then awkwardly jogging over to Tom to inspect the pictures.

"Those look great," she beamed, choosing one, and then sending it to Dylan.

They walked around the grounds of the once magnificent (it still was, it was just run down) ancient temple.

"I would have loved to live back then," Y/n said, "not sure how well I'd rock a toga, though."

"I think you would look stunning in a toga," Tom said thoughtfully.

"I think you would look too good for your own good," Y/n said, "You would have everyone all over you."

"There's only one girl I have my eye on," Tom said, giving Y/n a small kiss, "and that's you."

"I don't remember you being this cheesy after the cruise," Y/n said, furrowing her eyebrows, "What happened to you?"

"I don't know, Darling," Tom said, "I don't know, but what I do know, is that we should be heading to Plaka right now, and get something to eat."

"Food?" Y/n asked, "I wouldn't mind something to eat."

"Love, you'd never mind something to eat."

They go back into the car and drove over to Plaka.

Once they go there, they got out of the car. They would be walking to get where they wanted while there.

"Do you want to look at the shops, or get something to eat first?" Tom asked Y/n.

"I would love to get something to eat," Y/n said, "did you have a place in mind?"

"Someone said she wanted shwarma, or, a gyro," Tom said, raising an eyebrow, "The question is if they want that still, even after all this time."

"Always," Y/n grinned, "Now, let's go."

They went and ate, getting shwarma, as Y/n wanted.

"Maybe we should've invited Robert to Greece with us," Y/n said, after they ate, now walking around the neighborhood.

"Why d'you think that?" Tom asked.

"I feel the need to eat shwarma with an Avenger," she said, "It just feels like the right thing."

"I'm technically an Avenger," Tom said, "Do I count?"

"Did you eat shwarma with the Avengers after the Battle of New York?" Y/n asked.

"No," Tom said, "Peter Parker would've been like nine when it happened."

"So no," Y/n said, "You do not count, although, it's the thought that counts."

They walked through the streets and looked through the shops.

"If you see anything you'd like," Tom said, "Just tell me, and I'll get it for you."

"Thomas," Y/n whined, "Not this conversation again."

"What?" Tom asked, "I was just telling you if you wanted anything, I'd get it for you."

"If this was a book," Y/n said, "This would've happened every chapter, it gets a little annoying, after three chapters."

"Y/n, this isn't a book," Tom said, raising an eyebrow.

"It could be," Y/n said, looking around suspiciously, "we could be living in a book, I have been having these kinds of suspicions for a while now."

Tom rolled his eyes, a small smile on his face, and they kept walking around.

Once they finished walking around, they found the car, then got back in (jk they decided to sit on top of the car) and drove to the Monument of the Unknown Soldier.

"What time is it?" Tom asked Y/n, as they got out of the car.

"Four fifty-five," Y/n replied, "why?"

"We're here right on time," Tom grinned, putting his hand out for Y/n as he always did.

Y/n grinned as well, not really sure why she was, but she didn't care at this point.

They walked over to where there was a big group of people standing watching nothing.

Y/n, who still had no idea where they were, or, what they were doing, didn't ask any questions.

When it was five o'clock on the dot, things started happening.

"We're leaving tomorrow?" Dylan asked, panicking (he still hadn't packed anything).

"Dylan, I've told you this a million times," his mom said, "we're leaving tomorrow morning."

"I still have time to pack, right?" Dylan asked quickly, "Not that I need to pack, but if I had to, I would still have time, right?"

"Yes," his mom said, "Dylan, you're seventeen, just go hurry and pack."

Dylan gave his mom a thankful smile and quickly left, going to go pack his things.

*back to reality, brought to you by the fact I'm too lazy to write*

"That was great," Y/n grinned after the switching of the guards took place.

"What was your favorite part?" Tom asked, swinging their hands as they walked back to the car.

"I'm not sure," Y/n said, which was the truth, she enjoyed watching it, but she couldn't pinpoint what exactly she liked about it, "I just enjoyed it."

"I understand that," Tom agreed, as they got into the car, "But, are you ready to go to our last destination?"

"No," Y/n said, "I still don't want to leave."

"Y/n, we need to leave to the airport at five-thirty," Tom said, starting to drive.

"So, where is the last destination?" Y/n asked, wiggling her eyebrows.

"The Temple of Hephestus," Tom grinned.

"Fancy," Y/n said.

They got to the temple and got out, Y/n took a deep breath, she was going to miss Greece.

"This looks amazing," Y/n said, gazing at the temple that was in front of her.

"It really is," Tom agreed.

"Can you... get a picture of me?" Y/n asked slowly.

Tom chuckled, "Of course, anything for the meme lord."

"Thank you," Y/n beamed, walking over to the temple.

Tom took many pictures (some without telling Y/n).

"I've taken a lot of them," Tom said, "Do you think that's okay?"

Y/n walked over to Tom, who handed her phone back to her.

"These look great," Y/n said, scrolling through the pictures. She gave Tom a kiss on the cheek, "thank you."

They again walked around the temple, looking at the architecture. Y/n's eyes were wide as they looked around, she couldn't fathom that people could build these kinds of things back then.

"Are you ready to go?" Tom whispered to her once they finished looking around.

"No," Y/n whispered back, "But, let's go, we can always come back."

"That's my girl," Tom said, a warm smile on his face.

They got into the car and drove to the airport, Y/n looked out on the landscape, with a sad smile on her face.

They arrived at the airport and went through what Y/n had done what felt like a million times the last three years.

They got onto the plane, and Y/n settled in for the three-hour flight ahead of her.
