Buns and Chips

The next morning, Tom woke Y/n up with a kiss.

"How's my fiancée feeling?" he asked, once she woke up.

"Your fiancée is feeling tired," Y/n grumbled, not thinking about what she said, just flipping, so her back was to Tom.

"Love, we have a flight at ten," Tom said. "It's seven."
Y/n quickly sat up.

"Seven?" she exclaimed. "Thomas! We should be leaving for the airport, like right now!"

"It's at eleven," Tom said, getting out of bed, pulling Y/n out of bed with him. "I just had to get you to wake up."

Y/n sighed, he was right, but she also didn't know how to reply. Although, she was sure she'd think of something later.

Tom kissed her on the cheek, then went to get ready for the day.

*time skip brought to you by late comebacks*

They had just checked into their hotel, it was a different hotel than the year before, but Y/n quickly went and flopped onto the bed.

She motioned Tom to go over and lie down with her.
He chuckled but walked over to where she was, sitting on the bed.

"You don't think anyone knows we're going to be here right now, right?" Y/n asked, sitting up. "Because I don't want to have a million people know where I am."

"Love," Tom said, raising an eyebrow, "They know we're on vacation, they know we're engaged, they also know we got engaged in Rome."

"So, some of them could think we're still in Rome," Y/n said. "Hmm, well, you know what we should get?"

"What?" Tom asked.

"Croissants," Y/n smiled.

Tom chuckled a bit, standing up. "Well, we better go now," he said. "Before you end up falling asleep."

Y/n rolled her eyes, standing up with Tom's help.

They left the hotel, walking around, finding a small bakery. Y/n got the French pastries.

They paid then left the shop, sitting down at a bench.

Y/n opened the bag, instantly being hit with the scent of the freshly made croissants.

"Oh, how it's been a long- many days without these delicious quacksons," Y/n said, taking out a croissant, holding it up to the sky.

"I think I might be having second thoughts," Tom said, looking at what Y/n was doing.

"This isn't anything new," Y/n said, examining the croissant. "I've always been like this. I don't know why this is such a shocker to you."

Tom chuckled, putting an arm around Y/n, pulling her close to him.

"I know," he said. "You're my strange Broadway girl."

"Oh, shut it, Princess Tom," Y/n said, playfully punching him.

"Have I not become Meme Lord Tom yet?" Tom asked.

"You'll always be known as Princess Tom," Y/n said. "Even when you become Meme Lord Tom."

"You mean you'll always call me that," Tom asked, not wanting to say "Princess Tom" out loud.

"Of course, Princess-"

"Can we get a picture?" A girl asked, walking up to them, with two of her friends.

"Of course," Y/n said, standing up.

"Are those quacksons?" One of the girls asked Y/n quietly.

"Yes, yes they are," Y/n replied. "Tom, what do you think of these pastries?"

"The croissants?" Tom asked, making the girls smile. "Love, I haven't had one, you were too busy 'worshiping' the one, that I haven't been able to touch the bag."

Y/n gave an awkward laugh. "Right."

"Well, did you three want a picture?" Tom asked, with a grin on his face.

"Yes!" One of the girls exclaimed.

They got the pictures with the girls, then said goodbye to them.

"You know, there's a statue I want to go to," Y/n said, handing Tom a croissant.

"Oh really?" Tom asked, raising an eyebrow.

"Yeah."

"Which one?"

"Marquis de Lafayette," Y/n said, a small smile on her face.

"Is it because of Hamilton?" Tom asked.

"Perhaps," Y/n shrugged.

"It's two right now," Tom thought out loud, "and we have somewhere to be at nine-thirty-"

"We have time," Y/n said, standing up.

Y/n started to walk away. Tom, who was still thinking about how much time they had, was still sitting on the bench.

"Thomas!" Y/n yelled as she was too lazy to walk back over to him.

Tom looked up, to see Y/n was not sitting right next to him, "oh."

He quickly stood up, jogging over to where Y/n was.

"Sorry, I was just making sure we had enough time," he said, taking Y/n's hand.

"If the next thing you have planned for us to do is at nine tonight," Y/n said, looking at her phone for the directions. "I think we have enough time to go see a statue."

Tom sighed, but let Y/n lead the way.

When they got to the statue of Lafayette, Y/n started walking faster when she saw it.

"Y/n, Love," Tom said. "Calm down, as you said, we have plenty of time to see it."

Y/n nodded and "calmly" walked over to the statue.

"How does a ragtag volunteer army in need of a shower," Y/n whispered, "defeat a global superpower?"

"What?" Tom asked, not understanding what she was whispering.

"Everyone give it up for America's favorite fighting French men," she whispered, getting louder. "Lafayette, I'm taking this horse by the reins, making redcoats redder with bloodstains. Lafayette, And I'm never gonna stop until I make 'em drop and burn 'em up and scatter the remains."

Y/n was whispering so quickly, Tom could barely understand what she was saying, but they were words.

"Guns and ships, and so the balance shifts," she said.

Tom finally understood what she was doing, she was singing Guns and Ships, from Hamilton.

He put his hand over her mouth, causing her to stop.

"Love, you look like a crazy person whispering to yourself like that."

"Thanks," Y/n said after Tom removed his hand. "I know."

"Did you want a picture?" Tom asked, raising an eyebrow.

"Who do you think I am?" Y/n asked. "Of course I want a picture."

*time skip brought to you by my unhealthy hamilton obsession*

Tom and Y/n were on the Metro.

Tom hadn't told Y/n where they were going.

According to him, "it's a surprise, Darling." To which Y/n replied, "Come on, you'll have to tell me at some point."

They got off the station, and Tom led Y/n around the Eiffel Tower.

"So, where are we going somewhere near the Eiffel Tower?" Y/n said, looking around.

Tom raised an eyebrow. "Love-"

"Are we going to the Louvre?" Y/n asked, excitedly. "You're going to help me steal the Mona Lisa?"

"Darling-"

"Oh, no you wouldn't do that," Y/n frowned. "Let me guess, you wanted to finish looking around-"

"Y/n, we're here," Tom said quickly, so Y/n couldn't say anything else.

Y/n looked up.

"Oh, we are going to the Eiffel Tower," she said, mentally facepalming.

"Yes, we're going to the top, and watch the sunset," Tom said, looking at the sun, which was going to set soon.

"Romantic," Y/n said, raising an eyebrow. "I was thinking that you were going to propose to me at the Eiffel Tower- or well, in Paris- but what you did was really romantic, I loved it."

"Thanks, Y/n," Tom said dryly, as they went through the security check.

"You're welcome," Y/n said, winking as she looked around. "Wait- we're not walking to the top, right?"

"No," Tom chuckled. "We're taking the elevator."

"Thank Tony Stank," Y/n said. "I did not want to climb six hundred and seventy-four stairs."

Tom looked at Y/n strangely. "How did you know that?"

"I looked it up last summer," she shrugged. "I wanted to know, so I looked it up."

They waited in line, for their designated time, since Tom had bought tickets for them before they even left for vacation.

When it got to them, they got into a big elevator, full of people, making it crowded, Tom put an arm around Y/n, holding her close to him, so they wouldn't be separated.

"Huh," Y/n whispered to Tom. "You have some muscles now."

"I thought we established that in Greece," Tom whispered back.

"We did," Y/n replied. "But I was just saying it again because I still don't understand how."

"I work out?" Tom said.

"I already knew that, but-"

"Are you Tom Holland and Y/n L/n?" a guy who was standing next to them asked.

"Er-" Tom said.

"That's us," Y/n smiled.

"When we get off the elevator, can I get a photo with you two?" the guy asked.

Y/n looked at Tom, who nodded. "Of course."

When they finally got off of the elevator, they got a picture with the guy, then made their way to see the city.

"Maybe we should start wearing hats and sunglasses," Tom suggested.

"Judging by what happened last time you did that," Y/n said. "I don't think we should."

"Last time I did I met you-"

"I don't think I need you to fall in love with another girl," Y/n said, frowning.

"I'm only in love with one girl," Tom said. "And guess what?"

"What?"

"I asked her to marry me yesterday."

"That was yesterday?" Y/n asked. "I don't have a sense of time anymore."

"That's because time flies when you're with me," Tom said, kissing her cheek.

"Whenever I don't think you can get any cheesier, you always do," Y/n sighed.

Tom chuckled. "It's my special talent."

"I know," Y/n snorted.

They watched the sunset (yes, very romantic, I know). Just joking around, probably interrupting someone's attempt at a romantic night.

"I love you," Y/n said, leaning on Tom.

"I love you more," Tom said.

"Nah," Y/n said. "I love you more than you can comprehend."

"I love you more than you can comprehend," Tom said.

Y/n scrunched up her nose, she was pretty sure this was something that people in books and movies did.

It didn't happen in real life.

"Okay you win," Tom said.

"I always win," Y/n said.

"Uh- no."

"Bet."

Tom kissed her.

"Nope."
