Phase Two (4)
Serin's POV
The two girls in front of me were considered the prettiest girls in school. From their shortened skirts to their perfect hair and complexion, it's no wonder why everyone envies them.
Suhyun blew a bubble with her bubble gum, sassily letting it 'pop' before speaking.
"So, this is our project?" She asks, indicating me.
"But she's already so pretty," Hayi cuts in. "Hanbin, are you wasting our time?"
"Wha??" Hanbin stutters. "N-No! Serin really needs your help, because the guy she likes is..." Hanbin leaned to whisper in Hayi's ear.
Hayi's eyes widened, then, a wicked smile appeared on her face.
She began strutting towards me and stopped once she got right in front of me. She pursed her lips and smiled brightly.
"This shall be fun."
Grabbing my hand, she skipped back to Suhyun, grabbed her hand and then proceeded to an unknown location. I stared back at Bobby and Hanbin with pleading eyes, but they merely waved goodbye.
Once we were out of earshot, the two girls spun on their heels, examining me from head to toe.
"So," Hayi pursed her lips, staring at me intently. "You like my step-brother."
"What?" Suhyun and I said at the same time.
"You like Jinhwan Oppa?" Suhyun asked in disbelief. "But--"
"Oh shush, will ya?" Hayi says. "Everybody knows you like Bobby so stop frontin'."
Suhyun's face became bright red, causing me to snicker a laugh.
"You... Like Bobby?" I ask, but she smacks my arm in response. "Oww.."
"Yeah and you like Jinhwan, anything else?" Suhyun sassily says, blowing another bubble with her gum.
"Girls, girls," Hayi snaps. "Stop fighting, we have shopping to do."
We went to the mall, then to many different places, from Victoria Secret to Forever 21, we went everywhere. Bags and bags later, we hit the foodcourt to grab a bite to eat. Turns out, Hayi and Suhyun were actually pretty cool. Other than shopping, the two knew more about stuff that I liked than I thought they'd be. They liked video games!
We were laughing, having a good time when my phone buzzed.
"Hello?"
"Serinnnnnnnn, we have an issue." It was Hanbin. "Let me talk to Hayi."
"Um.. Okay?" I handed my phone to Hayi. "It's Hanbin."
Hayi's mood instantly perked from hearing Hanbin's name. As she grabbed the phone, Suhyun turned to me.
"Hayi's had a crush on Hanbin ever since she met him." She snickered, causing Hayi to smack her arm.
Hayi hung up the phone and handed it back to me. "Is it okay if we spend the night?"
I blinked. "Uh.. sure?"
"Alright," Hayi stood up, taking a sip from her drink. "We have to hit three more stores, and then we have to meet back up with the guys for Phase three."
My eyes widened. "How many Phases are there???"
Hayi snapped her fingers. "Don't ask questions. Now c'mon. We have to hit Sephora, Bare Minerals, and Mac before we leave."
"Is that a smoothie shop?" I ask, but recieved laughs instead.
Suhyun pinched my cheek. "Oh Serin, you're so cute when you're stupid."

When we got to my house, Suhyun and Hayi threw everything we bought on hangers or placed them nicely in their designated areas. My eyes widened, but I merely stayed still, sitting on my bed as I watched the two have at it.
"Nice room," Suhyun scoffed as she neatly organized the makeup area. Something deep down inside me told me she was being sarcastic.
I glanced at my room. The dark grey walls surrounded my room with an occasional picture or two. Mainly of me, Hanbin, and Bobby... My entertainment system took up the majority of my room though. I had my Apple Mac computer and stereo system pushed against the wall with my small, black twin sized bed pushed against it. What? Saves room and I don't have to move very much in my room. Beside my bed, was a bookshelf filled with either comic books or books on technology... Suhyun took one look and chuckled to herself...
I don't think she likes me very much...
"They weren't kidding," Hayi says as she takes a full look at my room. "You really are a nerd."
I scrunched my nose at her. "I prefer the term, 'Geek'."
They both rolled their eyes. "Whatever."
I awkwardly sighed, staring back at the two as they stared at me. Suhyun had her arms crossed over her chest while Hayi had her hands on her hips, tapping her foot.
"Sooo," I started, but was soon cut off.
"Don't talk." Hayi said, blowing a bubble with her gum. "I'm thinking."
I rolled my lips into a thin line... Hanbin was right. Girls are scary.
"Give me your phone." Hayi says. I blinked.
"What?"
"Give me. Your phone." She says slowly. I hesitantly hand her the device and watch as she makes a call.
"Hello? Hanbin-ah? Yeah..." Hayi glanced at me and then to Suhyun. "Yeah we got everything on the list. What? What do you mean Bobby-- Nevermind, okay? Just come over."
She hung up the phone and tossed it back to me.
"What was that about?"
Hayi rolls her eyes, glancing at her nails. "Apparently Bobby almost got in a fight with Jinhwan, but y'know, boys will be boys."
Mine and Suhyun's eyes widened. "What??"
"What? I said 'almost', chill."
"Is she always like this?" I ask, but recieved glares as my answer. Girls are scary. This is why all my friends are boys.
"Where's your TV?" Suhyun asks, breaking the awkward silence.
"I-... I don't watch TV."
"Then how do you watch your dramas?"
"I don't..."
Hayi and Suhyun merely stared at me.
"Oh gurllllll," Hayi sassily started. "We have to liberate you on some Boys Over Flowers."
I gulped. What's that? Is it dangerous?
Soon, knocks sounded at my front door and in came Bobby and Hanbin. Bobby had a small cut on his upper lip, while Hanbin just stood there, not saying a word.
"Oppa what happened??" Suhyun screeched, running to Bobby's side. He glanced at me, then glanced away.
"Nothing really, just fell is all." He smiled, but I know that smile.... It was fake.
Hanbin reached inside his backpack, getting his trusty notebook. We all went down to the basement since my room was too small for so many people. Hanbin took his regular seat on the bean bag chair, Bobby and Suhyun took the couch, Hayi sat in a foldable chair next to Hanbin, and I sat at the computer chair... Mainly because it had wheels and I could spin myself.
"So," Hanbin started. "We fixed your hair, wardrobe, makeup... now we have to work on attitude and appearance."
I scrunched my brows. "Isn't hair and makeup appearance?"
"Yes and no," Hayi says. "This type of appearance goes along with attitude. I'm guessing you're the shy type?"
I pursed my lips. "So what if I am?"
"Serin, don't start." Hanbin warns. "Hayi and Suhyun are going to work on your attitude because," He smirks. "Hayi knows what type of girls Jinhwan likes."
"Sassy, hot, a little bitchy." Hayi smirks. "This shall be fun."
