"Is the camera on?"
Serin cutely asks, tilting her head from side to side. Jinhwan chuckles as he continues to film.
"The camera has been on, dummy."
Serin makes a face, then giggles anyway. "I'm not used to be on this side of the camera. I like filming, not being filmed!"
Jinhwan smiles as he sees his beautiful girlfriend through the lens, "You should be filmed more often. You're too beautiful to not be."
Serin hid her face with the sleeves of her hoodie, "I'm not used to blushing this much.."
Jinhwan reaches to grab her hand, admiring the blushing beauty. As he pulls her in, he switches the camera around to face them, and kisses the top of her head.
"I love you, Se. You're perfect either way."
----
"Welcome to my first ever vlog," Serin gasps excitedly. "It won't be much, but I just wanted you guys to see something."
The screen then switches to face the ground as Serin shuffles though the house. As she sneaks downstairs to the basement, she opens the door quietly. There, showed the guys all sleeping after a tough rehearsal. Serin giggles.
"Okay so," Serin starts quietly. "Here we have Hanbin who is cuddled with his trusty notebook. Like seriously, who sleeps with a notebook??"
The screen switches to Serin as she makes a judgmental face, then back to Hanbin.
"Next we have Donghyukkie and Boobs, oh I mean, Bobby." The camera shook slightly as she giggled. "Ah, kyeopta."
"Yunhyeonggie and Chanwoo are over on the bean bags.." The camera switches. "I swear they could be twins... Like fraternal twins."
As the camera switches back to the guys, Serin begins to shuffle through the clutter of boys and water bottles. Finally, she gets to the reclining chair. Zooming in, the camera captures the image of a cute, dark haired boy quietly dozing off.
"This," Serin says dramatically, "is probably the cutest thing you've ever seen. And no, I'm not talking about the boy-who-keeps-trying-to-get-me-to-call-him-Oppa, I'm talking about this." The camera begins to zoom in even more, revealing...
"Tedz, the teddy bear."
As the screen zooms in, a light brown, medium sized teddy could be seen in full. Serin giggles, causing the dozing boy to stir in his sleep. Serin switches the cam to face her and leans down to show her trying to take Tedz. Jinhwan's eyes opens tiredly, but when he sees Serin, he smirks.
As her hand reaches over, JInhwan grabs it and pulls her towards him. Shocked, Serin's eyes widen as Jinhwan takes the camera. Jinhwan's tired expression is still evident, but as he leans in, he plants a kiss against her cheek.
"This is mine," he chuckles as he hugs onto the bear. "But so are you."
----
Jinhwan sat the computer, going through some old videos. It had been two weeks since they started looking for Serin. Two weeks of no sleep, two weeks of extreme worry.. and two weeks of heart break. He watched all of her old vlogs and her video edits, but then.. he stumbled upon a video he had never seen before.
The original version of "Get Like Me."
He smiled slightly when he realized why this file was hidden. This video barely had anyone else but him in it.
"Ah, what is this?" He chuckled lightly, wiping his eyes. Suddenly, his phone began to ring, but when he checked the caller ID, he sighed.
"Hi mom," Jinhwan attempted to make his voice sound more upbeat. He didn't like worrying his mother..
"Aw my son, have you eaten? Are you guys doing well? Have you found any clues yet?"
Jinhwan lightly sighed as he ran a hand through his freshly showered hair. "No clues yet, we've been going to the police station practically everyday."
Jinhwan's mother began to worry. "Honey it's been two weeks... What if--"
"Mom, stop." Jinhwan interrupted. "I know what you're going to say and to be honest, it's one of my biggest fears. 'What if we never find her?' or 'What if she never comes back?'. Mom... I worry so much about this..."
Jinhwan could hear the heavy sigh of his mother, and he could almost envision the deep crease her forehead would make whenever she worried. "Mama... Eomma... I think I'm in love with her."
"I know honey," his mother said sincerely. "I knew you had feelings for her when you first met her. But I never would have thought that you would go this far for her. Son, I love you, but I don't want you to get hurt."
"Yes, ma'am." Jinhwan muttered back. "Mom I have to go now, I'll call you later, okay?"
With that, he hung up the phone and continued the video. He smiled at the thought of Serin scrambling to get all of the guys back to re-do the video.
"Ah, I thought Se threw this away?" Bobby muttered as he peered over Jinhwan's shoulder.
Jinhwan rubbed his tired eyes and chuckled lightly, "Apparently not. Are the guys back yet?"
"Not yet, but they're on their way, and I think they're bringing food too."
"Thank god," Jinhwan sighed dramatically. "I feel like I haven't eaten in days."
"That's because you haven't." Bobby said as he placed the back of his hand against Jinhwan's forehead. "You look paler; you can take a break sometimes too you know."
Jinhwan looked down in disappointment. "I know I should.. but I still feel guilty about what happened."
Bobby looked at his elder friend with sympathy, then gently pat his back. "Don't think that way... We'll find her, or at least find out where she is. But take care of yourself hyung. It's okay to take a break... You barely eat, you barely sleep... We're worried about you too."
"I know but--"
Jinhwan's voice was cut off by the sound of a car engine being turned off. Soon the loud, yet tired voices of the guys filled the basement, and with them were bags of Chinese take-out food.
"Any luck at the station?" Bobby asked as the guys gathered around the food.
"Yeah, actually." Donghyuk quietly muttered as he moved around his food with his chopsticks. He glanced up at Hanbin and Chanwoo, then to Bobby and Jinhwan.
"They found, what they believed to be Se's phone and a backpack a few towns over from here..." Yunhyeong spoke in a serious, yet quiet tone.
Jinhwan's eyes widened. "Seriously?! Why aren't we over there?? Why--"
"--Hyung." Hanbin interrupted. "The police wouldn't tell us the exact location, for one, so we wouldn't even know where to look anyway. We're going back in the morning for more information like they told us to.."
"But why can't we--"
"Hyung." Chanwoo, the youngest of the group muttered. "We didn't want to tell you because we wanted you to rest. Jinhwan-hyung, you're losing weight, and you haven't slept for days. Heck, this is the first time we have seen you eat in days too.. Please get some rest.."
Jinhwan rolled his lips into a thin line, looking down at the bowl of rice in his hands. He glanced up from his bowl, then to the faces of the five other guys in the room.
"I'm sorry for worrying you guys..." He spoke quietly. "I'll take better care of myself.. I'm just.... I'm worried."
The guys stared back at the elder with sympathy.
"We are too," Bobby said as he lightly pat Jinhwan's back. "We'll go tomorrow, okay?"
As the guys began to finish up their late night meal, they made sure to make Jinhwan relax for a bit. They gave him more pillows and blankets, and expected him to doze off soon after. But just as his eyes were about to close, his phone began to ring, causing him to groan.
"I forgot to call mom back.." He muttered as he sat up.
Running his hand through his hair, he answered the call.
"Hello?"
"..."
"Hello?"
"..."
JInhwan pulled the phone away from his ear to check the caller ID, but it was from an unknown number.
"I can hear you breathing on the other line." Jinhwan said tiredly. "Who is this?"
"..."
Jinhwan rubbed at his eyes, but sat up straighter. "...Se?"
"..."
"Se, if this is you please say something." Jinhwan's voice began to shake, causing the guys stop what they were doing.
"..."
"..."
"..."
"....I love you."
