Chapter 13: First Day

Yeji's POV

This is so bad. I got lost again?! This does it! This whole school is a huge maze! I only got 20 minutes left, before Class Orientation starts! Lia said, she would wait for me! But where is she now?! I think I'm gonna cry right now.

Just the first day of school and I got lost again. I think there's something with me and getting lost. I think we should be friends.

I should text Lia.

Yeji:
Where are you?!

Lia:
Well, hello to you too. Yeji.

Yeji:
Lia! I don't have time for those! I'm lost, in this huge maze! I couldn't find my classroom!

Lia:
Is that, all you wanted to say?

Yeji:
Yah, what's with the attitude?

Lia:
I'm in a very bad mood, right now Yeji.

Yeji:
Wait, Why are you in such a bad mood?

Lia:
Nothing. Now tell me where are you right now? I'll come pick you up from there. And go to your designated classroom.

Yeji:
I'm currently at the Bulletin board. I've already checked my Classroom number.

Lia:
Okay, stay there! I'm coming.

Yeji:
Okay! Bye!

Lia:
Bye!

Yes! I finally get to go in my Classroom. I'm super excited!

Where is she?! Class Orientation is about to start and there's still no Lia yet!

"Hey, Yeji!" I heard a very familiar voice say.

"Hey, Lia." I said, almost crying, and went over to her.

"Quick! There's no time left! We need to go now! We need to run to our next destination!" Lia said, while grabbing my arm and started dragging me away from this place.

"Wait, do you know where my Classroom even is?" I asked her, making her stop in her tracks momentarily, before continuing to drag me away.

"Well, of course!" Lia said, while continuing to drag me away.

"Huh? How?" I asked her.

"Well, you see, if you're a new student, or a student who has quite the reputation in this school. Everybody would either want to be your classmate, or dodge you entirely." She said, while still dragging me away.

"But, lucky you! I'm one of your classmates! Now let's go." She said, while running through the corridors, of our school.

Finally, we've almost reached our destination; well that's what Lia said. When, we were so close, I suddenly bumped into something, no someone.

'Wha-- I bumped into, something again?!' I thought, scolding myself.

"Well, excuse you!" A Male voice said, or maybe a Female, the voice is a bit too high.

"Taehyun! Stop looking! You could already see her legs!" I heard another voice said, to the male who said something earlier.

I was still on the ground, I stood up, quickly and quickly fixed my skirt, the skirt I wore is a bit too short maybe I should've worn a longer one, or maybe pants?

"Taehyun?" I heard Lia asked, by the time it hit me, she was still on the ground!

I quickly looked at her, but when I saw her she was already up, and looking at the person I have probably bumped into. I'm so dumb! Why didn't I help her!

"Lia eonni?" I heard another voice say.

I quickly turned around. It was Chaeryeong, with Ryujin and Yuna. I got to say, Ryujin doesn't look too good.

"What are you guys doing here?" I asked them, while raining my eyebrow at them.

"Well... Since our Class Orientation starts about a few more minutes we thought we should walk around campus. And besides, can you see Ryujin eonni being this pale?" Yuna said, while looking and pointing at Ryujin.

"Fine, whatever." I said, and looked at Ryujin up and down.

"Wait what- what's with the attitude eonni?" Yuna asked. Although, I can't see her I can tell, that she is pouting.

"Nothing." I replied to her.

I quickly looked at Lia, she was still talking to a tall boy, and a brown haired boy.

'Is it okay for this school to have their students having their hair dyed? Well, maybe. Ryujin, has pink hair, and Yuna, has blonde so maybe it's fine?' I thought.

I quickly shook away all those thoughts.

'Why am I even thinking about that, and right now?!' I mentally scolded myself.

I got lost, thinking about hair dye in school. That I forgot our class orientation, is about to start. I quickly went over to Lia.

"Lia, let's go, we'll be late for our Class Orientation!!" I said, while trying to pull her away from these two, people.

"Okay, okay! Well, let's go with my Brother and his..." She trailed off looking at the tall boy

"Supposed to be Friend." She said while looking at the poor boy up and down.

"Okay! Let's go, I don't want to make a very bad expression on the teacher and our future classmates!" I said, and started pulling her away.

"Come on, this girl, can't practically wait, for her very first Class Orientation, with us." She said to them, while sighing.

While walking, towards our Classroom, it was very Quiet, until one of the boys said something.

"Well, this is very awkward. How about we introduce each other? So we can get to know you better?" The tall boy said

"Umm, okay?" I said with an uncertainness voice trailing off it.

"Okay! I'll start! I'm Soobin! Choi Soobin! Nice to meet ya! And I'm assuming you're the new student?" He said, and waved his hand.

"Yup! Are you and Lia cousins? Or maybe relatives? Or Something?" I asked him. I was practically assuming things once again.

"Why would you say that?" He asked me.

"Well, both of your surnames are 'Choi'." I replied, but it kind of sounded that I didn't actually care about it.

"That may be the case, but no, actually, this two are both siblings." He said while pointing over the Blue Haired boy, and Lia.

"Now, how about you introduce yourself?" He asked me.

"Oh, right! My name is-." I was about to say my name, when Lia cut me off.

"Were here already, come on, I still don't see the teacher inside." She said, and went inside.

Well, there is still time, after all it's only 6:59 AM. Once, we opened the door, our classmates looked at the door. She quickly went in, and sat down at a chair, which has her bag; she quickly looked at me and called me.

"Hey, come here, I saved you a sit." Lia said, and sat down on her chair.

While, walking towards the sit that she reserved for me, I can hear whispers of my future classmates.

"Wow. Is she the new Student?"

"She looks hot."

"Oh, my, she looks so pretty!"

"Hey! Please sit next to me!"

"Hottie! Are you free tonight?"

Which are all repeating, But only one got my attention.

"She's probably going to be a teacher's pet!"

That, shut the whole room up, that statement really hurt, me. I quickly went to Lia's place, and sat down the sit next to her. Once, I sat down, I feel like crying.

"Don't worry! You got me here. I'll protect you." Lia said, while comforting me.

'I really am lucky to have friends like them' I thought and mentally smiled.

So, from what I've heard, the teachers will be a little late. So me and Lia, decided we should know each other more. Well, for starters, she asked me a bunch of questions, about my life, since the last time it was all about them.

So, we've been running our mouths, ever since we got here. I can actually, feel stares from all over me. Some of them were probably Death Glares though.

After a few more small talks, the teacher suddenly went in, she was a Goddess...

"Whoa..." Everybody in the room said

For starters, she look kind of Scared, Terrified, and at the same time, Happy.

While, we were starting at them, in their presence, I think our Class is so blessed. But, then somebody coughed, disrupting our daydream session.

"Hi, I'm your adviser for this School Year." The Woman said, while smiling.

We were all still all so quiet, because we were mesmerized by her beauty.

"Umm, How about I introduce myself first, before you guys?" The woman said, while still smiling at us.

"My name is Tzuyu, Chou Tzuyu. I'm from Taiwan. I've recently moved from Taiwan to Seoul, I'm still pretty new to this stuff, as I've only graduated, last year." Miss Tzuyu said, while smiling, making every boy in the class, fanboy over her.

And I'm very serious, when I say, some even fainted. Just by her smile. Because, she looks more and more like a goddess.

It got a bit awkward, in the classroom, because no one dared to speak. So we all just stared either at our Adviser or our Seatmates.

"Umm... So, I guess, you guys should be introducing, to each other now, we'll, be going in this order, from the Newest Student, then after all the new students, we'll be going for a clock-wise rotation. Got it?" Miss Tzuyu asked us, while still smiling.

Nobody, dared to answer, because, we were all still petrified because of her beauty. Her beauty was just so out of this world. But, in the end we all answered at her question.

"Yes, Ma'am!" We all said, happily because it seems like she was easy to get along with.

"This isn't the military, guys. Maybe you guys, can just call me Miss rather than Ma'am." Miss Tzuyu said, that made us all sigh; because, we thought that we were going to get scolded on the first day of school.

We were quiet once again, after a few minutes of silence; Miss Tzuyu said something, that caught our attention.

"So, we only have a new Student, and she's the only one, this year, well from what I've understand this school, hasn't had any new students, in the past years as well?" Miss Tzuyu asked the old students, because I being the only new student here surely don't know the answer.

"Yes..." Everybody said, in response to Miss Tzuyu's question.

"By the way, can you guys, maybe get a little you know, lively? Cause, looking at you guys seems like dead zombies, and considering the situation you guys are in right now. You guys should be happy because this will be your last school year. Unlike, the younger ones, they still have to go to school next year as well." Miss Tzuyu said, while looking at us, and smiling.

Whoa, I didn't know that our Teacher can be somebody who has words of wisdom, because she looks like she's a person who's savage.

'To be honest she kind of looks like someone that I've seen before.' I thought, and looked at her closely and examined her.

I know! I think I saw her on the picture that was on Dahyun eonni's Desk.

"Now, may I ask who this person is? Can you please raise your hand?" Miss Tzuyu said, and I quickly raised my hand, due to nervousness.

"Oh, it's a girl, from what I understand, you just moved back here again, right?" She asked me.

"Yes." I replied, to answer her question. Because, it would be a bit naughty to not answer her question, especially when it's the first day of school.

"Can you please stand up, in front to introduce yourself?" Miss Tzuyu asked me.

I stood up and went, in front of the room. This is probably one of the most nerve wrecking thing I'm going to do.

'Okay, this is nothing, you'll just introduce yourself, in front of the whole school, while, standing up, I feel everybody's eyes on me.' I thought, and it quickly made me nervous.

I walked towards in front of our classroom. I turned around, then, I heard, "Whoa's" from my classmates, I wondered why, though? While, they, were looking at me with, curiosity in their eyes. I quickly looked at Miss Tzuyu, and I think, she got what I was trying to say.

"Okay, you'll be saying your name, your age, your birthday, why you transferred here, your hobbies, and some facts about you. Although, I already said the reason why you had to transfer here, I want you to say it, for us to understand some more." Miss Tzuyu said, while smiling at me and that made me smile back at her.

'Okay, I can do this! This is nothing! I've done this two times already. Lia's here too, so I can feel kind of not stressed, well in other words Relaxed.' I thought trying to relax myself more.

But, not mentioning, those boys, who we came in with earlier, are looking at me as if they want to eat me. I took a really deep breath before, I started to introduce myself, right in front of them.

"Hi, My name is Hwang Yeji! You guys can call me Yeji. Please take care of me!" I said, cheerfully, and bowed.

All of the boys, smiled. And started saying some random things like:

"Hi, Yeji!"

"Can we be Friends?"

"Oh~ a pretty name for a pretty girl."

And such.

"My birthday is actually on May, 26th, 2000. So I'm currently 20 Years old." I said, smiling cheekily, because I'm already considered as somebody who's old, because I'm already an adult.

I quickly, looked at Miss Tzuyu, and she smiled at me, telling me that I'm doing a good job, just for introductions alone.

"I actually, transferred here, because we had to move. Because, of my Parent's jobs. I didn't really have a choice, if I wanted to stay with them, I should be here as well, than being back at Gyeonggi-do." I said, while smiling.

I quickly, continued, to my next statement. So that they will not think, what am I doing?

"For my Hobbies? I guess, Dancing and Singing. Would be fitting to say..." I said, and smiled.

I quickly, looked at looked at my classmates, they were looking at me, with Curiosity, we'll that's for the Boys. As for the girls, some of them were glaring at me. And some are just looking at me with a blank expression. Well for Lia and Soobin, they were smiling so much, you can see, their teeth so much.

"For facts.... I guess I'll do ten of them." I said, and started thinking of facts that I can say to them. But, of course before that can even happen, Miss Tzuyu had to ask a question.

"Are you sure about that? Maybe, you'll say something about your personal life Yeji?" Miss Tzuyu said, while having a worried look plastered on her face.

"No, it's fine Miss Tzuyu." I said, reassuring her.

"Okay, if you say so." She said, and signaled me to continue with it.

"I was actually from here, I moved from Seoul, to Gyeonggi-do. I don't really remember some of my Childhood, as my Parents said, that I was about a year, asleep?--" I was about to continue to number three. When Miss Tzuyu said something that had cut me off.

"What Happened to you?" She asked me, curiosity can be heard from the tone of her voice.

"Umm, the thing is, I actually don't know. My parents wouldn't tell me, but, I'm sure about one thing, I was about 8 years old that time." I said, trying to remember what actually happened back then.

"12 years ago... okay, I'll just look it up at your documents, later. You may continue." She said, and took out her phone, and doing something on it.

"I had a surgery when I was young, I have a scar over my stomach when, I woke up, from my sleep. Nothing big happened, to me just a minor surgery." I said, taking a breath, because that was long, before continuing it again.

"I'm very much likely to be found in Places that are Quiet and Clean. I have an older brother named 'Hwang Hyunjin' He is a year older than me. I'd like to have a Friend, who's mostly likely to be friendly, kind, cheerful, and a bit extroverted." I said, and tried to catch up with my breath for a moment.

"I don't really like, giving my phone number to someone. If I gave someone my phone number, please don't give it to somebody else. I can do a bit of martial arts. I had a friend, who, I guess, forgot about me?" I said, and once again tried to catch up with my breath for a moment.

"I'm kind of, ambivert most of the time. I didn't have any friends at my old school." I said, I was looking at them, well to be more specific, their reactions and expressions.

"Okay, since Yeji, is now done, with her introduction. You guys can ask questions, and she'll answer them, so you guys can get to know her better." Miss Tzuyu said, while still being kind of pre-occupied, with something at her phone as of the moment.

"Okay, Yeji, you can call any of them. You can also not answer their question, if it's inappropriate." She said, while looking at me, before going back to her phone.

I quickly took a look at my classmates, I could almost everybody, has their hands raised up to the air! I quickly pointed to Lia, to let her ask a question, plus she is a Friend of mine. Who helped me navigate my way through this huge big maze that they call as "School".

"Yes, when do you give your phone number?" She asked, while smirking.

'Uh... why is she smirking?' I thought, and just by the thought of it creeps me out.

"Umm, I guess, if you're a friend of mine, or either, were working on a group assignment or project." I said, unaware of what the meaning behind her smirk is.

After, that, I quickly looked at or more likely scanned my classmates, I then saw Soobin, with his left hand being raised in the air. So I quickly pointed at him, and smiled. While he also smiled back at me. Making me think, that he is secretly a bunny in disguise.

"Were you ever in a Relationship?" He asked, while having the word "Curiosity" written all over his face.

'I don't think that's inappropriate, right? Whatever I'll just answer that.' I thought, and just shrugged.

"Not yet. I'm too young to be in a relationship yet, and besides my parents would flip, if they heard that." I said and laughed.

And then, Miss Tzuyu said something, which caught everybody's attention, including mine's.

"Last one, Yeji! Last question, to be asked for Yeji." She said, reminding me of the number of questions that my classmates, can ask me.

"Okay!" I said a bit too happily.

I quickly looked over to my classmates and I saw a familiar brown haired person, the one that we came in with earlier. I quickly pointed at him, and for some reason I want to know his voice, or rather himself.

"My Question is, you said a friend of yours 'Forgot' you, and can you describe that person?" He said, and looked at with his eyes, that I can feel were piercing right through me.

"Umm, I guess so, but, I don't actually remember much of him anymore, it's all a big blur to me now. But, I'll try to describe him for you. It's a boy, he is older than me, he had small eyes to be exact he has Monolids, and he was taller than me, and that's all I remember about him. Sorry to disappoint you." I said, and looked down.

After that, Miss Tzuyu made me sit, and made my classmates introduce themselves. That went on about an hour? Before I finally knew the name of the boy that asked my last question.

His, name is 'Choi Yeonjun'. Hmmm, I wonder if we can be friends.

Yeonjun's POV

After, the new Girl's Introduction, that kind of attacked me.

She has the same name as her, why?

Hwang Yeji.

She has the same look in her Eyes.

Is it really you?

Are you Yeji?

Are you My Baby Yeji?

The one who is my Best Friend back then?

I want to ask you when you left this place did.

Did you really leave because of me?

Why, befriend me?

Aren't you regretting that I left you behind?

How's life outside Seoul?

Did somebody hurt you?

I have so many questions but this one is really the one I want to ask.

Did you even love me?

But, now that you're a friend of Lia. I think that's a good idea. I should be Friends with you.

Then, I'll ask you.

I'll ask you if you're ready to forgive me.

I'll ask you when, the time comes.

So, in the old version of the book, The teachers were Tzuyu and Jungkook, but now, it will only be Tzuyu.
