Sonic's P.O.V.

Days passed, then weeks, then another month. I hadn't seen my friends although they kept calling me asking my help with Eggman. I made sure to watch the news to make sure they were all okay but I still didn't go to help them.

I knew I couldn't risk my life with Lea and Noah around. They needed me here with them and I refused to leave their side.

"Prince Maurice. Your friend is looking for you." My ears perked up once the guard said that and I walked out of my room the pups were asleep in the crib.

"Hey Sonic. I came to see Chuck but I also wanted to see you and make sure you're okay." He walked to me, just outside the door.

"Tails. I-I'm glad you're here. Did anyone come with you? Follow you?" I asked concerned and looked at the guards.

"He is safe, no one around or near the castle." One of the guards said then I nodded and sighed in relief.

"Is everything alright?" He asked then we heard whimpering. I pinned my ears down.

"Screw this." I looked at him. "Keep it a secret." I said sternly then dashed inside my room and carried Noah who was still whimpering since he didnt see me around when he woke up.

Tails gasped once he saw him. "A pup...? Did you adopt...?!" He half shouted half whispered.

"No... I found out I am a herm... And my mother said that it was time for one of us to get married and have pups but Sonia is dating Sally and Manic is with Scourge and he isnt a herm... So it landed on me to do so... Since its also rare... I needed to... So I had a donor and I had twins..."

"Twins?" Tails walked closer and dropped his ears when he saw Lea slowly waking up, scrunching her nose cutely. "Chaos... Well... Now it all makes sense..."

"Her name is Lea and this is Noah. I had to retire so I could protect them... I can't get killed while fighting and leave them alone... They need me... They need to stay a secret to everyone else too..." I rocked Noah to get him back to sleep as I purred.

Tails nodded and carried Lea since she reached for him and tried to get her back to sleep as well. "Dont worry, Sonic. I'll keep this a secret."

"Thanks buddy." I smiled and nodded then put Noah down once he fell asleep as Lea fell asleep as well. Tails put her down then looked at me and hugged me.

"I'm so happy for you. They are so cute." He smiled brightly then pulled away. "I can help with anything." He said softly.

"Thank you buddy, just don't spoil my kids like my family is doing." I chuckled and he laughed softly.

"I'll go with Chuck." He walked off.

I walked back inside my room and laid down and sighed in relief.

At least I felt better now that Tails knew but...

"Shadow..." I sighed then fell asleep.
