Happy Birthday to you too
They talk about her in whispers; so low
I can hear it all from four floors below,
'A rotting body and a rotten soul', they say,
'A putrid smell that will make one stay away'
But my mind's set on paying a visit.
I am decisive and my pillow knows it.
Off I go on my tippy-toes. (mom mustn't know)
Flying is the wind above me, flying is me below.
The dead dried leaves scrunch as I walk.
The night-creatures howl at me; they talk.
'Give you everything you've been dreaming of.'
But when I go close to them, they take off.
It takes me forever to reach, but maybe
It was just a minute dancing away in glee.
From 11:59, all the way to midnight.
Such a long distance. A long flight.
Now that I am here, I see what they saw.
And I see what they didn't beneath their law.
But I will contemplate later not tonight.
We dance away, dance away the night.
She murmurs me a 'happy birthday to you'.
I thank her with a 'happy birthday to you too'.

A rushed ending.
A rushed to finish this, primarily because this is too dark to post on my coming birthday and secondly I want to leave what "I saw" to your interpretation.
And if you tell me yours, I will tell you mine. ^-^
If you sing to me, I will sing back to you.
