I just want to take the time to thank you for reading this story and I hope you enjoy it :)

I wrote this story for a competition about Chinese mythology. You had to choose one of the four quest options for you hero to go on and retrieve one of the legendary weapons. 

I chose the 'East Road' where your hero would venture into a bamboo forest and fight the counterpart of the legendary Azure Dragon.

There are two versions of the story. The first being the edited down version which I submitted and the second being the initial ending manuscript.
