Chapter 42: The Possession

We approached the Silver Moon pack border only a few miles to the pack. Liam and I were astonished .The vampires, which were oddly nice, were actually pretty cool. Croatia gladly helped us by and teleported us here.

It smelt like rain and pine and thick with a layer of fog. The sun fanned on our faces, as the sky was grey and congested with thin clouds .It felt like spring because flowers of all colours gleamed in the light .Everything, and I mean everything felt kinda surreal. In addition, the calmness of the animals. The tall trees loomed over us shadowing us.

However, as we edged closer it started to flicker, I felt nature course through me in an electrical frenzy .Something was wrong.

"Are you ok? " Liam asked, looking at me.

"Yeah."I muttered weakly.

Instantly, I felt like a rag doll .I was thrown up into the sky like a rocket then down with brutal force .My legs shot up sheer and in shrill force and teleported into a puff of mist. I staggered and then collided with the trees, as I was almost knocked unconscious.

"Hamia!" Liam screamed .My breath ragged and slow, I was littered in sweat and I began to feel distant, like a memory. Depersonalization hit me like lava rocks .Injuring in a heightened pain.

Suddenly, my legs shot up vertically and my body bended in odd angles, my eyes flashed silvery-purple. Then, I saw it, a figure appeared and it was taller than the pine trees itself. It was a mountain, tall and looming , and it stared directly at me ,it had two golden pea-like burning into my soul .In a blink , then in pain I twisted onto the floor and saw a force field which flowed like shattered tinted blue glass and a lava lamp in an odd fashion .

Still, why is it triggering me somehow, I shot up and stared at a perplexed Liam .Looked in fear and utter confusion, I rubbed my head and stared at him.

"Heather... ", He choked out, gaping at me.

"What Liam?" I snapped, touching my neck and bruised arms.

"Your eyes .....It...It has turned silver."He stammered.

"What!"I shrieked, touching my face, I zoomed and looked at a puddle, two pairs of grey or silver eyes stared directly back at me.

I rushed to him while holding his shoulders tightly like metal. "I don't know what on earth happened, we need help, now! "He said, strained, covered in sweat.

"Yeah," I breathed, whipping my head. "Let's just go and enter the pack and figure out everything." He nodded.

Wolves melted from the trees and swirled around as they lunged,welcoming us into the pack.

I beamed smiling while Liam's butt was sniffed.

Brown eyes stared at me in awe. I beamed as I ran towards and tackled him to the ground. He hugged me tightly and smothered me in kisses.

I spotted him shaking his knees and grinned.

In a blink, Zale ran and stared at him. He clenched into fists. "Who's that!?"He sneered .I breathed and ran to him and Zale was about to attack.

"Zale, this Liam, he's a friend of mine." I added, smiling at him, "he's an omega and my age."

He looked at him and flashed." Sorry, Hamia, I can see it but before we accept him, we have to indicate what if he's a spy?"He said.

Realisation hit me like cold water, I grinned and nodded .He whipped his head in fear I hugged him tightly and left.

"Sorry, "I mouthed looking back at him, he whimpered .I felt mean but we have to do this we can't trust him instantly.

I approached a crowd of people, some were jubilating; some were fuming, not shocking .I felt like an eight bowl that was being knocked around.

Zale told me what happened to the pack and the attack of Sapphire that she's an epilision .Oh no , and what happened to Ares which she doesn't talk about that and rumors that Eli might be more than her friend .Like can people mind their business the fuck .

It's the anniversary of my brother's death and their sudden departure, my brother, Damon sent a note that he is either asexual or aromatic or both but I couldn't figure it out? Just thinking about Wells' tears as I hid on my face .Ever since, my birthday everything seems to change ,I sighed and went to the bathroom ,I sniffed my armpits and gagged . I really need a shower or a bath, like hell. I stripped off stained jeans that turned grey, dirty and wet. Also shampooed. My hair was bushy and wet so blow dried for about forty–five minutes .I know right .I wore a soft grey shirt and black jeans with vans and jogged down the stairs .Stuff have changed ,we really have to change our A game around the pack .I opened on the pack and looked for suspicious peeps. .

I narrowed my eyes and met the others .I saw Eli lurking at her door .I sighed heavily as a grin morphed on my face.

I yawned loudly only to cover, I waved at Cassie who cocked her head in submission .I pardoned her and dashed into the dungeon. The clearing to the dense forest, the eerie quietness but the beautiful scenery. I urged closer to the dungeon trap door hidden on the tall overgrown grass, the entrance was round and was a faded mouldy pink and smelled rotten and champed. I slowly moved down pushing the rusty metal ladder down and stared down at the long thin well going underground, it was overgrown with weeds and smelt of mildew, dusty, and stuffy .

Raindrops dripped echoing through the dim dungeon, my vans seemed to submerge echoes as I walked around.

"Zale!" I yelled ,it cast back as it echoed ,I looked at the faded strawberry pink walls and vines crawling at the walls ,fighting and choking for the small traces of light ,casting deep shadows around .

I saw the cells ,rusty and damp ,how long had it been abandoned ?I remembered when Noah and I got stuck here ,it hasn't been used in years or maybe even decades.

I shuddered as a cool breeze lashed through .There was he in the cell as Zale questioned him .I can see his wolf has taken over .Usually Zale wouldn't do this. I feel dense that I brought Liam into this .

Why do I have to be so nice?

In a blink, Zale gave him a... tonic .It was silvery-blue in a bell-shaped vial.He started staggering and wheezing moving backwards

Shit, it's...mercury strange and some hints of wolfsbane ...and ....iron .Why is he mixing all these strange things?

"Zale, what's that?" I stammered entering the cell, instantly regretting touching the bars.

"It's a truth tonic."He huffed, shoving it into his mouth.

Suddenly ,Liam twitched and trashed and screamed wildly ,slowly his veins protruding like branches and morphed to silver as it flowed through him like tributaries on his body as he growled and hissed in pain ,his teeth penetrated as his eyes slowly dilated into blood red and silts ,

"Now, what are you? Who sent you? Are you in contact with alpha Liboardo?" Zale growled, bombarding him with questions like a dirty slap and with no time to recover as he screamed-howled in pain.

"What.Did.You.Do.To.Me?" Liam growled, hoarsely thrashing in almost a whisper.

"Truth serum, "Zale said, while digging his claws into his flesh, "it will only hurt you the more you lie."He snapped.

"Ok, "he coughed, "Nobody sent me, I'm a werepire ...I wanted to leave, I never wanted to choke my mates, your mate is pretty .I'm a shithole, who the hell is Libaordo ...is it some kind drug. Heather what is going on? A war. What War ...Heather! I lost, my mate. I'm dying alone. "He blurted out as he was littered in sweat as his wrist tightened.

A smile morphed on Zale lips, I staggered .O.M.G .Did he just torture him .But –why ....I have a lot to learn .The part lf Zale I just witnessed was a different side I felt different .My wolf pureed in delight . That horny jackass.

Back at the pack house, I grabbed the small frame of my bro.It's been a year and so, I wonder how he's been doing. The sun began to set, before I knew it, .It was the night like an artist's dream the sky was wide and littered with stars .The moon flashing in the dark sky.

I was on the bed; the room was pale blue, with wooden floors, a fluffy grey carpet and king-sized bed with midnight blue sheets and the rest black. I stared at the window and I wondered 'Am I Lunar material or not ?' .The flashed in a blur hopefully Liam is actually with us .

I tightly closed my eyes shut, slowly I tried to sleep .Suddenly, and I heard a voice. It was so soft like silk but rough and feminine .It felt ancient.

'Avenge me'

Abruptly, an electric shiver course through me, I thrashed.

What!?

My chest tighten, my breathe heavy, I couldn't breathe then laboured breathes as black splotches welled in my eyes . I darted my head as my vision and iris dilated my pupils turned to change into silvery –violet .More shudders turned more I was beaded in cold sweat as my canines and claws elongated .A low growl rumbled from my chest a between loud like a monstrous wolf and a bear .

Kill Zale, kill him.

He stole something from me and he must be eliminated.

Get out of my head!

I gripped my ears and trashed.

Ever wondered about how you met him .You don't love him, it is the mate bond .You lost everyone because of him and now your world is crumbling apart and now you have way to many enemies.

Then a creepy laugh enclosed in the depths my mind.

You would have been human; you would have still had parents who will love you. College and best of your entire brother would have still been alive.

I instantly stopped thrashing and fighting, I actually started to let her in, all the anger I've been feeling was now directed at him. I still hope Zale actually likes me back; at the party was it only the mate bond? A man like him would never set eyes on me. My life would have been better.

I growled angrily, I lost everyone and everything because of him. I relaxed and let her in as...

She took over.

Stupid me!

I leaped of the bed and kicked the door open.

"Zale! Darling,"we sang as I dashed around looking for him. I barged outside smelling a metallic and putrid scent which was very familiar.

The flower, metallic but fluid. A spiral trail lead into the woods calling to me but I suppressed it and spun the opposite direction and into the field.

'Wait!' the voice paused, 'Destroy the wall and free me'.

You're an unwanted but a powerful creature. The others lead them out.

I nodded obediently, and then clenched my teeth.

Heather what are you doing? Snap out of it.

All of a sudden, I was having a mental war with myself .I started twitching and holding my eyes as it flashed normal then my form.

In the field ,I was pounding my head as I hissed in pain .Stop she's manipulating you ,I yelled to myself .

You're so stupid.

Why are you letting her do this?

I knew it was just an echo, it wasn't me. She's controlling me but not my mind.

I watched myself. From the depths of my mind.

All I saw was violet blinded by rage I never knew I had .Till now.

I heard a blood–curdling scream, I jerked my head to the field and saw a figure emerge from the darkness. Blood red eyes burned with it no her glowed like fireflies. I immediately recognized her .Ares. Her claws were longer and her vampire must be out and so are her teeth more pointed and filed .Blood dripped from her lips and talons .A sinister smile formed on a lips as her fangs flashed.

She killed someone didn't she .She howled and flashed over to me .Since, she's a werewolf too everything is enhanced about her .Her speed too, like lightening she was in front of me .She whipped her head and pointed to woods, knowingly. It's dense and dark.

'But the force field.' I mind linked and narrowed my eyes. Groups of wolves howled and churned around us .I looked Ares eyes. Like blood rushing through with hints of gold swirling around but not a blended like mine.

"Free her, free her."I chanted angrily.

"Free her." Ares echoed softly.

'Kill Zale.' we screamed in unison, glaring at the wolves. The words that slipped of both of us weren't ours .In a sibling point of view, we might hate them but not to the point we'll kill them .We sounded monotonous. The black sky and the moon grimacing shedding its powerful light on us .My skin crawled and stung.

The biggest wolf was Zale like a lion. Eyes like the sky, which was strange and silver fur gleaming in the moonlight crawling over.

Cracks, fusion and tendons forming echoed through the eerily quiet air, as he stood on his two legs.

"Heather what....what happened ...to you?"He screamed loudly, moving over to us, Ares and I growled at him crawling at him angrily as he brought his arm to us. "Ares you too, Goddess .Your eyes." he added ,staggering .He moved backwards looking at the pack as his eyes flashed to cobalt ,canines emerged and claws out .

The wolves tensed, an injured one limped forward and one was mourning by howling at the moon, circling at the wolf carcass. He had black fur and sprawled lifelessly on the grass ,with his glassy lime eyes staring into the night as mosquitoes circled around his gapping mouth .Wolves churned and gaped at us .And they hissed moving towards us .He looked drained of blood reminded me of a carpet .

"For the pack! " Zale growled running to me, in a blink, he was holding my neck as my claws digged into his ribs.

"Avenge her! "I growled and pushed him on the ground as I burned his blood as boils broke through his skin and deep gashes scrapped his face . He hissed in pain and there were deep gashes on his back as he hunched over, he grabbed his shoulders and said a word I never knew Zale would ever muster.

"Heather, I can't believe I have to this," he whispered staring at me, with tears welling his eyes, he pointed his hand to me.

"Attack! "He added. "I'm sorry, "he whispered, and then he limped as he disappeared in the sea of chaos. Instantly, the temperature dropped and it felt cold, icy cold .Wolves lunged towards me as I danced my way out. I morphed crackling orbs and throw them like softballs at the wolves. Some jumped on me scratching me and cutting on me .I grabbed one of their hind legs and disintegrated it. I roundhouse kicked them .I levitated a few over my head and formed an arc as I formed a fist as I squeezed them .I yelled at them as I healed.

Zale was bleeding from his shoulder as blood trickled down from the deep hole and the bite marks on his neck.

"Heather, we can talk about this. We can't always fight .I know this isn't you .If you keep doing this I'll have no choice...no choice .But to fight you till we can find whoever did this to you!" he cried as he limped to us.

"Ares you to?" He whipped his head. The temperature dropped then rose .A cloud of frost engulfed us the wolves plopped down onto the floor in shrill force.

I saw a figure appear, snow-white frizzy hair at her waist and her eyes turned dark blue with lime green that didn't mix. Turquoise hands thrust towards her .Hair was messed up. A slash cut across her eye and she was limping too. Frost formed as she walked wolves growled and lunge onto her but she twisted, then dodged and she formed a jagged ice and froze one of them into ice. Turquoise dashed to us as frost grew like snakes or rust. We were shivering as she placed her arms on her hips, unbothered by the cold and stared at Zale circling a finger forming rings as the air seem to form icicles .She froze and unfroze them.

"What do you all want?" he yelled, glanced at us, running his hands through this hair. "Who did this to you, is it Sapphire or Liboardo."

"Who!" He growled, clenching his teeth and hands.

"We'll avenge her. "We yelled as we clapped.

"Who? "

"Our leader! "

"Liboardo ,Alpha Brandon Liboardo has something to do with this. "

"This isn't you, girls."

"Who did this to you all .Heather, Luv .Ares, my sis and Turquoise I'm not even shocked!" he glared at us.

We froze .Not but turquoise it was a sudden shock.

'Now that I got all of you,' she started, 'Tell him to open the field and all the Specalis will come. '

I could tell how Ares and turquoise froze we weren't the only ones who heard this. We froze and looked at him. We nodded obediently.

"Zale, "growled lowly, "Remember at the party, did you really want to talk to me or was it the bond? Did you actually want to be my friend? On the other hand, are these feelings even real? "I screamed, as tears welled my eyes as it got intense at the ending .I kept clenching and pacing towards him.

"Heather, no. You're being influenced," He whispered, his voice sounding hoarse as he staggered." I love you."

"No! Am I. "I screamed, angrily wiping my tears. I spun around looking on the grass .I choked but I had to do this."Do I even love you? I lost everything my brother, my family and my life .I had dreams, Zale .Dreams .Now, I get it now. It's the damn mate bond." I laughed loudly. He froze and straightened his spine then walked to me then moved back.

That caught him off guard. "Zale tell me .The truth." I whispered, looking over my shoulder. Hah, I laughed painfully slightly twitching before I knew it my hand was on his throat as I lifted him up as he hovered. "Tell me .Nothing but the truth."

"I .Don't. Know .I. Was. Eighteen .I .Don't .know .what I was supposed to do. "He choked, breathing hard as I dropped him painfully.

"I should have done what Aneta did or maybe I should just kill you. You'll rot with your rotten father .A thief."I seethed, kicking him on the groin.

Why did I do this to him? He then fluttered his eyes, trailed on burning holes through me, and laughed coldly. "Demon, whatever you are, what do you want? "Zale screamed coldly.

"Why do you have to use my mate and her friends just to get what you want .You want my pack, the squad or the rest of, dirty hands on the relic's .No! I can't believe I almost fell for this."Then he sprang up to his feet and stared at me.

"Heather, I know you're in there."He said. Before I knew it I shrieked. I was trashing, twitching, and crouch down. Grey veins protruding all over our body as we shrieked my eyes turned into slits.

"Open it!"Zale cried, waving a hand.

"What, Alpha?"

"Do it."

He nodded ,as his eyes flashed We looked at each other .In a blink we were out .I whipped my head and looked at Zale and hissed .We dashed through the night sky as the clouds roll back as it gets darker. We saw it.

She or it .A gust of black smoke swirled against the dense trees, it's howling and groaning. A feminine figure materialized having round hips while looking shapeless yet with form. Talons like nails smoldering and hissing and I saw her eyes pebble-like hot pink glowing like an irresistible fire .It zapped towards us it didn't speak as it talked it motioned as and hissed at the sky and as it roared .I felt her pierce my brain as an echo that I could hear.

It stared as it flashes its fangs. 'You are special. Join us to avenge the humans fatal mistake .Join us to get them extinct .Join us to control and rule .We are everywhere.'

Again, I let it sink in. No, I fought with myself. I felt the veins fleet away as I shook my head as I winced in pain. I'm in control. Recent Memories of what I've done flooded into my mind as I couldn't help as all the things I did.

It was like a thick cord of electric periwinkle blue sparking and sizzling .Suddenly ,I remembered who I'm I ,why am here .Bad things happen for good reasons and I was being tested .I fought hard thinking of my family, the humans and what she wants .Like elastic, it snapped and the bond of the curse subsided. I lost my urges. She was easily manipulating us by using our dreams, thoughts and desires against us.

"No!" I snapped."You're trying to kill us all for your selfishness, what did humans do. This ...this isn't right. Rounding out people to do your dirty work. It isn't right." I seethed, I turned towards the others and shaking them .They had good reasons to join but at the same time they didn't .I kept shaking them .Especially Turquoise she's been through hell and back.

A laugh echoed through the night. "Stupid mortal, I've been planning this for years or decade's .I get what I want. When I want. Humans are stupid creatures that destroy everything in their path. Clearing them off will be great, or making them into slaves and I'll rule over them."

Notice she said I not us the Specalis, witches and shifters etc .Her and herself. She said laughing as she pointed a needle finger towards me as a disturbing smile formed that reminded me of shark's teeth. "Try stupid mortal, they're under my spell but I have completely good reasons for what I'm doing. It's for the best ." she narrowed her eyes and brought her hands to her chest and trust them forward .Cracks seeped from the ground and shook the ground like quick sand ,a strong roar as the tress shook as I thrown backwards flying through the night and crashing onto the ground .I was submerged in dirt, mud and dust.

"No!" I yelled, looking at the explosion. I scrambled from the ground and realized I broke my wrist as I winced. I was filthy and covered in dried blood of cuts and scarps .My hair was a mess and matted in mud and my nails. I was limping .I finally felt my wolves presence must have been the spell .I teleported to the place as I heard a sizzling .There they are acting like me the silver veins return as their eyes rolled over cloudy.

To usual colour, they were trying to fight .Their wolves are powerful they should be able to break this spell. Then they levitated hovering over the treetops as they hissed and growled in pain .I formed henna plates, closed my eyes and tried to get into their minds.

They flickered and smiled .She emerged into the darkness and zapped at my throat with a thick arm tightly as I gagged as she choked me and pierced her nails deep into my ribs."I'll come back; Lunar and you'll beg me to join my group. You're stronger than I thought." she growled then turned into smoke and ash as I coughed .They ran to me and hugged me as we cried in sync .

Suddenly, like a stampede wolves churned around us and growled .Zale looked at us coldly and waved a signal. Like a flash ,I was being pinned I struggled as I choke .I felt something pierce my arm as I saw black splotches on my eyes as I swirled into the darkness as I felt things like a distance memory.
