After the contest a few days later, Joanna seemed preoccupied. 

For the past few days, she had been getting those strange dreams, but she never knew who the man was or why she looked like some kind of princess in them.

And recently, she learned that Yugi had faced against the Final Game Master, but he was actually a respectable man with a fondness for games. 

And for some reason, he asked Yugi to save Kaiba's heart.

What could that mean?

They soon found out with Death-T built by Kaiba. Although it was a tough fight, Yugi was able to win with the help of Exodia and everything was starting to go back to normal.

Or so she thought.

This time she was in another dream.

But she was in her soul room with everything she loved.

Then she saw the door with the Egyptian markings. And this time, the chains on it eroded away as the pendent on her chest began to glow. 

'Young child...I see you finally unlocked the power.' A voice said.

"Power? What do you mean?"

'You possess the Millenium Pendant, one of the 8 lost Millenium Items of Egypt. It was said when the pyraminds were still young, the Egyptians gambled anything they had in a dark game called 'Shadow Games.''

"Shadow Games?!" Joanna said as she recalled all the games Yugi had the thugs play with him.

'But they soon erupted into a war that threatened the world until a brave pharaoh and his queen sacrificed their lives, locking the terrible magic away in the Millennium Items. The one you possess, the Millennium Pendant, is considered very special. It gives you the power to hear the 'voice' of other Millennium Items and the souls of other people, but also those of powerful Duel Monsters that will resurface.'

'Resurface?'

'The other Millennium Items will soon resurface after all these centuries and in turn, so will the Shadow Games. You must prepare for what lies ahead. Destiny has chosen you and your friend for defending the world from the Shadow Games.' The voice said as it faded.

'Wait!" Joanna said as she woke up.

She still couldn't believe it as she got ready for school.

Of course, it would explain so much happening to her and Yugi.

But the question was; could she do this?
