Twenty Two

"You're looking so happy these days." Jimin commented as he stared at Taehyung's face.

The blonde just shrugged his shoulders, unable to wipe the silly grin off his face.

He's been feeling ecstatic for the past weeks. Dating Jungkook turned out to be the best thing that has happened to him so far.

They would go to school together and spend their free time doing all sorts of things. It became a routine and Taehyung couldn't help but feel elated.

His boring and colorless life was suddenly filled with bursting colors called Jeon Jungkook.

"Have you done it with him?" Jimin suddenly asked with a hint of mischief in his voice.

Taehyung furrowed his brows, clearly not understanding the other's question.

"What?" He asked, looking at his best friend who just grinned.

"You know.." Jimin bit his lip as he wriggled his brows in a teasing manner that had Taehyung blushing, finally understanding what the other was talking about.

"Why would you ask such a thing?" Taehyung answered in almost a whisper, trying not to let others hear what they're talking about.

They're inside the room, waiting for their professor who's running a bit late.

"Well you've been going out for almost three weeks now. He's picking you up and dropping you off your home." Jimin shrugged his shoulders.

"Considering you're living alone, it's just expected that he already popped your cherry." Jimin winked, making Taehyung blush even more.

"What the hell, Chim. We haven't.. done anything other than kissing." Taehyung looked down to his hands, feeling his cheeks turn hot.

The comical look on Jimin's face made Taehyung even more embarrass.

"No way! You haven't -"

Taehyung quickly covered Jimin's mouth in panic. His eyes widened as he shakes his head vigorously.

"Bitch you're being too loud." Taehyung whispered, eyes as wide as saucers.

Jimin swatted his hand away as he bursts into laughters.

"The fuck, Taehyung!" He laughed even more, eyes turning crescents.

"You're torturing the poor guy." Jimin shakes his head, wiping off the tears in his eyes.

Taehyung pouted. "What do you mean?" He asked, voice uncertain.

Jimin moved his chair closer to Taehyung. "Imagine.. you're alone and all you did was kissing."

"And?" Taehyung asked, still not wanting to admit that he's getting Jimin's point.

"Bitch, you're a man too. You should know." Jimin smacked his head.

It was in this moment that the door opened, revealing their professor who looked as terror as ever.

Jimin immediately moved his chair away from Taehyung as the professor started the discussion.

Taehyung was left thinking about what Jimin had said. He understood his point clearly, and it started to bother him.

It's not like he's not wanting something to happen between them, actually it's the other way around.

Whenever Jungkook would drop him to his house, Taehyung would invite him inside but the latter was always quick to decline.

After the first night Jungkook had went inside his house, when the kiss almost turned into something more, the ravenette seemed to be avoiding being alone with him again.

Taehyung doesn't want to press him and appear to be too eager. He just shrugged his shoulders and let him be.

He sighed, gazing at Jimin with dagger eyes. Thanks to his best friend's words, now Taehyung couldn't help but think of the possibilities.

Maybe Jungkook doesn't find him attractive?

The class ended an hour early since their last professor had to attend an urgent meeting with the directors.

Taehyung hurriedly went out of the room, excited to see Jungkook. He fished his phone out of his pocket as he made his way out of the building.

He doesn't know if the ravenette has an on going class since he still hasn't shown him his new schedule.

"Maybe I should just text him." He murmured to himself.

He was on his way to the bench when he caught sight of Jungkook with Yoongi, making their way to the back of the gymnasium.

"Jungkook!" He called out but the other seemed to have missed his call.

He rushed to get to them, feeling happy to know that Jungkook doesn't have a class and they could spend more time together.

Taehyung was nearing the gymnasium when he suddenly heard someone calling him.

He turned around, seeing Dahyun, his classmate in one of his classes, rushing towards him.

"Taehyung!" She huffed as she went near him.

"Dahyun.. What's the matter?" He asked.

"It's good that I was able to see you before I head home." She smiled, getting papers out of her bag.

"I forgot to give this to you earlier." She smiled apologetically, handing him his module that he lent her earlier.

"Oh yeah. I forgot about this too." He smiled, accepting the papers.

"Thank you again, Taehyung. You're really the best!" She beamed, making Taehyung smile.

"Anytime, Dahyun." Taehyung responded, waving his hand to her as she finally leaves.

Taehyung shakes his head as he continued walking where he had seen Jungkook and Yoongi sneaking out.

He went around the gymnasium, roaming his eyes to see where the two went.

"I'm sure they headed this way." Taehyung murmured to himself. He was looking around when he heard a faint voice coming from the farthest end.

He carefully peeked and was instantly halted by the strong smell of cigarette that welcomed him. His brows furrowed, seeing Jungkook and Yoongi leaning on the wall, both of them looking opposite to his direction, puffing on the cigarette in hand.

He smokes?

This is the first time Taehyung saw him smoke. That's why there were instances that he could smell a hint of smoke in him.

Taehyung doesn't know what to feel about this new discovery. He doesn't know smoking could look so damn hot.

He bit his lip, trying to suppress the mischievous grin from his face as he tried to approach them.

However, Yoongi's words halted him.

"You still think your parents won't find out?" Yoongi asked, puffing on the cigarette as he looked far away.

Jungkook shrugged his shoulders. "I think I'm doing good at hiding." He answered, making Taehyung move back and hide.

His heart felt like it was about to burst from anxiety and fear of being found out as he listened to their conversation.

He's not someone who loves eavesdropping, but in that moment, something tells him he should stay hidden and listen to the two.

"How long could you keep this up? What if you were seen by one of the professors and tell your parents that their son, who's supposed to be enrolled in Seoul University is still attending classes in Bangtan Uni?"

Taehyung almost made an audible gasp, his eyes widened in disbelief, hearing Yoongi's words.

"That's why I'm being careful." Jungkook plainly said, making Yoongi huff.

"Yeah right. You call this being careful? You're always on a crowded place with Taehyung and you roam around the university and spend time in the open when he has his classes.. That's really being careful, Jungkook." Yoongi shakes his head, puffing some more in frustration.

"Why are you being too apprehensive now? You told me I should stand for myself for once. Now I'm doing it." Jungkook responded in a devastated tone.

"I know but not like this. You're being rebellious. What if your parents find out you're defying them like this?" Yoongi paused, dropping the cigarette on the ground before stepping on it.

"Remember what's at stake here, Jungkook." He added in a serious tone.

Jungkook sighed in annoyance as he did the same, dropping and stepping on his cigarette.

"So what do you want me to do? Continue to be their puppet and just obey like a dog?" Jungkook retorted back.

"That's not what I mean, Jungkook. You have been following whatever they want, even agreeing to that arranged marriage bullshit for the sake of your mother. You never batted an eye but now.. now you're being too reckless." Yoongi pointed out, making Jungkook groan in frustration.

"Is this because of Taehyung?" Yoongi asked in a serious voice.

"You're risking the person you've been protecting all these years because of Taehyung?" Yoongi reiterated which only made Jungkook frustrated.

"It's not just about him!" Jungkook bellowed, breathing harshly to contain his emotions.

"For once, I want to live my life the way I wanted and not just follow whatever my father and his woman tell me." Jungkook heaved a deep sigh.

"Then what about your mother? She's going to suffer because you want to live your life the way you wanted?" Yoongi responded, making Jungkook stop.

"This isn't the right time to be living your own life, Jungkook. Until you can support your mother on your own, you're not supposed to live your own life. You're the one who told me that, Jungkook." Yoongi uttered in a serious tone.

Jungkook was silent for a long time, not really knowing what to say. He sighed, feeling too shitty to even respond to the other.

"I don't want to talk about this anymore. Taehyung's class will be done in a few. I'll be going." Jungkook said in a dismissive tone.

He turned around and walked away from Yoongi. His steps were immediately halted when he turned the corner, seeing Taehyung leaning on the wall.

His eyes widened at the sight of the blonde's worried and confused face.

"T-tae."
