Chapter 3
When they reached the door, both girls let out the breath they had been holding. Rosy glanced at Autumn and a silent agreement went between the two. Open the door. Rosy touched the door handle, paused, and grasped the handle and pulled it open with a creak. The voice stopped. The girls looked around and saw desks and tables covered with white tarps, layers of dust settled everywhere. The old chalkboard had scratches on it as if someone had scratched their fingernails on it over and over. The voice started up again. Where's my necklace? Where's my necklace? It was coming from the corner. Suddenly, a woman emerged from behind a desk in the corner of the room with a strangling scream. Rosy and Autumn covered their eyes and winced. She was wearing a pale white gown and her bare feet looked white as snow, the same as her face, neck , arms, and legs. Her coal black hair looked unwashed and unusual against her pale skin. She looked at Autumn and screeched,''You have my necklace!'' The woman lunged at Autumn and grabbed the locket and yanked it off of Autumn. The girls flipped around and ran down the hallway. When they reached the door, they grabbed at it. But it would not move. The door was locked. The girls heard one more thing before they fainted, so scared were they. Hah hah. Trapped.
