The twisted handle turned and the door creaked open and the girls saw a long corridor leading into the building. Autumn remarked " Rosy the windows aren't cracked." Rosy replied "So those noises those kids heard weren't the wind." The girls stepped into the corridor and the door slammed shut behind them. "Autumn" whispered Rosy. "Yes," whispered Autumn. "Do you hear something coming from that door?" Autumn hadn't been listening closely and once she did she heard it in a voice whispering, " where's my necklace" over and over. Autumn clutched her neck because around her neck was a locked locket that she found at the base of the school. Autumn whispered to Rosy, " do you think she is talking about my necklace?" "Maybe" whispered Rosy. "But there is one way to find out." Autumn replied. Rosy straightened and said "I guess there is." The girls took hold of each other's hands and tiptoed to the end of the corridor.
