You just sat there.. staring at the Golden egg. You just opened it in the common room and all that came out was a loud scream. It w a so loud you thought you were going to get deaf. You sighed. What did you do wrong?

'Y/N? Come on, go to bed.' Draco yawned as he walked into the common room. 'We'll figure it out, I promise.'

'I can't help it.. I need to know why I have to how use this.' You sighed.

'We can figure it out later... it's 1 am... come on.'

Draco offered you his hand. You sighed and grabbed it.  He kissed you deeply and you smiled before kissing him back.

'Off to bed.' He smiled.

'Yes.. bye.' You smiled before walking towards your bed.

'So... what is this all about?' You asked with a sigh while staring at the Gryffindors, opposite of the room.

'I have no idea.' Draco sighed. 'Don't know if I want to know.'

You grinned and saw Harry, Harry and Ron come in. You smiled at them and they smiled back. After a while McGonagall came in.

'Okay, I want the boys on this side and the girls on the other.' She smiled.

You looked at Draco and he shrugged before walking to the other side of the room.

 'The yule ball has been a tradition of the Triwizard Tournament since it's inception.  On Christmas Eve night, we and our guests gather in the Great Hall for a night of well-mannered frivolity.'

You looked at Draco. Yule ball? Like a dance? Gosh.. you never learned how to dance! You would embarrass yourself.

'As representatives of the hosts school I expect each and every one of you to put your best foot forward... and I mean this literally because the yule ball is first and foremost a dance.'

Everyone started chatting and looking at each other. You sighed and moved some hair behind your ear. Draco looked at you.

'Silence!' McGonagall spoke. 'The house of Godric Gryffindor has commanded the respect of the wizard world for nearly ten centuries. I will not have you in the cost of a single evening besmirching that name behaving like a babbling bumbling band of baboons.'

George and Fred whispered something and then repeated babbling bumbling band of baboons five times. Seriously?

'Now to dance is to let the body... breathe. Inside every girl a swan of slumbers, longing to burst forth and take flight. Inside every boy a lordly lion prepared to prance. Mister Weasley.' McGonagall spoke while walking towards him.

'Yes.' He spoke softly.

'Will you join me please?'

He got up slowly and walked with McGonagall. Ron looked absolutely awkward and terrified.

'Now, place your right hand on my waist.'

'Where?' He asked.

You grinned with some other students.

'My waist.'

Fred and gorge whistled at Ron and students started laughing and talking.

'One, two, three.' McGonagall spoke leading Ron over the floor.

You couldn't help but laugh and your friends joined in. It looked so awkward.

'Everybody come together. Boys on your feet!'

All the girls got up and you slowly got up too. Neville walking towards Ginny and they were the first to pair up. Slowly everyone started dancing and Draco walked towards you.

'Does she really expect everyone to join in? Screw this, screw dancing.' You sighed.

'Come on! It's fun.' He smiled.

He offered you his hand. You looked at it and then back at him.

'What's wrong? Don't you want to dance with me?' He asked.

You wanted to say something when pansy walked over to Draco and pulled him into the classroom. They started dancing. He looked over at you. You signed that he had to get over to you but he didn't do anything. You walked towards the door and left. While you left McGonagall called you to come back. You hurried through the corridors. Until you came outside.  You saw the big wooden bridge and sighed. 

You walked over to it and rested your arms on the side of the bridge. Stupid ball... stupid pansy... was he over her? Was he really in love with you? Why didn't he leave her?

After a while more and more students got dismissed. It was the end of the school day so everyone would do their own thing. You laid your head on your arms. You felt a hand on your shoulder. You looked up and saw Harry. He didn't say anything he just opened his arm. You hugged him and he hugged you back.

'It's Pansy again... isn't it?' He asked.

'Also.' You sighed.

'Y/N! There you are.'

Harry let you go. You saw Draco.

'Go back to Pansy.' You sighed. 

'Why would I want to go back go Pansy. I love you Y/N.'

Harry awkwardly walked away.

'Then why did you dance with her?! Why didn't you come to me when I asked you too?!'

'You didn't want to dance with me. I couldn't embarrass myself.'

'So now I'm embarrassing you?!' You asked. 'Is that all you care about Draco?'

You dance with him to prevent embarrassment... and now you've embarrassed him?

'That's not what I meant! Merlins sake... why didn't you want to dance with me?'

'That's not important. I did want to dance with you. That's why I called you back, you idiot!'

'Are we seriously fighting against?!'

'It's your fault!'

'It isn't Y/N! Please just tell me what's going on!'

'Then I'll embarrass myself and you again.' You sighed before turning around and walked away.

Draco ran after you and grabbed your hand. You turned around.

'Let me go.' You spoke.

'This isn't about pansy... is it?' He asked. 

'It is! You danced with your freaking ex! Go asked her to the yule ball and leave me alone. You wouldn't want me to embarrass you again.'

You pulled your hand from his grib and hurried off. Leaving Draco in confusion.

You sat in the astronomy tower. You always went there when you needed some time alone. No one knew that that was your hideout. You laid your head back against the wall. Embarrass him... what a joke.

'Y/N? Are you here?' Draco asked.

'Go away.' You sighed. 

'It's late, you have to be in bed.' Draco spoke while walking up the stairs. 

You looked at him and he looked at you.

'What's going on? Why are you so irritated about that dance?'

'We hadn't even danced yet and I already embarrassed you... and Pansy didn't.'

'Is that it?'

'You could have come to me. But you just left me! I wasn't just the only girl without a partner... I was the girl who embarrassed her boyfriend who then decided to dance with another girl.'

He sat down in front of you.

'What else is going on?' He asked. 'Why didn't you just take my hand? Why didn't you answer my question?' He asked.

'I..'

You sighed.

'What?'

'I can't dance! Okay! I was afraid I would embarrass myself and you.' You looked at the ground.

'You can't dance?' He asked. 'Was that it?' He asked.

You nodded.

'Now you're probably going to laugh at me for being a total failure in everything I do.'

'Of course not Y/N.'

He got up and offered you his hand.

'What?' You asked.

'We're going ti dance.'

'I can't.'

'Just forget about that for a minute. You want to learn how to dance right?' He asked calmly.

You sighed and nodded. A small blush crossed your cheeks as you reached out for his hand. You grabbed it and he helped you up. He gave you a small smile. He stepped a bit closer to you.

'Place your other hand a little below my shoulder.'

Draco placed his hand on your waist making butterflies explode in your stomach. You put your head slightly below his shoulder.

'That's it. Now it's: one two three, one two three.'

He slowly showed you the steps while you looked at your feet move. You stepped on his foot.

'I'm sorry...'

'It's okay, I'll just show you again. It's slow, fast, fast. See?'

He led you slowly again. You nodded.

'That's it... slow, fast, fast, slow, fast, fast.'

It went really well until uiu tripped and fell against his chest. You felt that you got red. You quickly stepped back.

'I'm sorry... I think I'm just not designed the dance. Thank you for trying.'

'Don't you dare give up. Come on. You can do it.'

You sighed and tried again and again until you got the hang off it. Just you and Draco without music. At moment you realized you didn't have to be ashamed in front of Draco..
