'Honey! Can you come down, please?' Your mom shouted. You were still half asleep.

'Coming!'

It was 10 am and you just woke up. You got up and got dressed before doing your hair. You hated getting up in the weekend this early. You walked downstairs and saw your parents sitting on the couch.

'You have a letter.'

Your mom smiled and handed you the letter. You grabbed and looked at it. It had  a weird stamp at the back and it was from: Hogwarts.

'Come on, open it!' Your dad said.

You opened it and grabbed the letter.

HOGWARTS SCHOOL of WITCHCRAFT and WIZARDRY

Headmaster: Albus Dumbledore
(Order of Merlin, First Class, Grand Sorc., Chf. Warlock,
Supreme Mugwump, International Confed. of Wizards)

Dear Mr/Ms. Y/L,
We are pleased to inform you that you have been accepted at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Please find enclosed a list of all necessary books and equipment.
Term begins on 1 September. We await your owl by no later than 31 July.

'What?!'

You looked at your parents with a confused face.

'Come on, walk with us.'

You mom and dad got up and walked upstairs. You followed them. Hogwarts school of witchcraft and wizardry? It sounded to you like it was made up. As if someone was pulling your leg.

You dad opened the door towards the attic and switched on the light. You never came there. It was all dusty and filled with boxes with nothing very important in it. You mom opened a closet and grabbed a box with HOGWARTS written on it. 

She put it on the floor and opened it. Your dad sat down on the floor and you did the same. There were a lot of things in the box.

'Look Y/N, this is my Hogwarts box. This is my letter.'

She gave it to you and you read it. It was identical to yours...

'These were my robes. I was a Gryffindor, just like your dad. He had the same.'

She got out black with red working robes. It had a little emblem on it.

'And this, is my wand. Me and your dad haven't done magic in years. We aren't really needed now. But if the witches and wizards ever need our help, we will be ready.'

She handed you the wand. You looked at it in disbelieve.

'Here I'll show you.'

You dad grabbed the wand and pointed and the letter that was on the floor.

'Wingardium Leviosa!'

The paper went up in the air. You looked at it with big eyes. Your jaw dropped and you didn't know what to say.

'Y/N, we are so happy that we can tell you that you are a witch... you are going to Hogwarts! We're so proud! We know you will do great.' You dad said.

'I...I'm a witch..?'

'Yes! We will take you shopping for everything you need. Let's go downstairs.'

You got up and walked towards the living room... you were a witch! That is awesome! You sat down on the couch and read through the letter once more. You were going to a school for wizards and witches! It was true. You mom and dad sat down opposite of you.  You grabbed the letter and saw that there was a second page.

HOGWARTS SCHOOL of WITCHCRAFT and WIZARDRY

UNIFORM
First-year students will require:
1. Three sets of plain work robes (black)
2. One plain pointed hat (black) for day wear
3. One pair of protective gloves (dragon hide or similar)
4. One winter cloak (black, with silver fastenings)

'I need a lot...'

'Don't worry, we know where to get everything you need.'

You dad helped you up and walked with you to the fire place. It was never on because there was no need to light it. He reached inside and grabbed some kind of sack. It had blue pouder in it.

'Okay look, stand into the fire place and say "Diagon Alley". Did you hear me? " Diagon Alley". I will go first and wait for you on the other side.'

You dad grabbed some pouder and stood into the fire place.

'Diagon Alley!' He said while throwing the pouder in the fireplace. Emerald green flames came up from the fire place and he was gone.

'Go on dear, it's save.'

You sighed to calm yourself and walked into the fire place, you grabbed the pouder.

' Diagon Alley!' You threw it and closed your eyes.

When you opened them you saw your dad infront of you. Your mom followed you a few seconds later.

'Welcome in Diagon Alley!' Your dad said.

You saw a small cobblestone shopping street. A lot of children were walking there. You look around you in awe.

'Wauw!'

'Come on, we will take you to the shops.'

You walked through the busy streets. You mom pulled the sleeve of your shirt and helped you get through the crowd into a shop called: Eeylops Owl Emporium.

You walked in and saw a lot of owls!

'I'm a getting an owl?!'

'Yes, pick any owl you like.' She said.

You walked around the shop and look at all the owls. white, black, brown, big, small... There were so many. When you walked past one cage the owl just stared at you. It was a medium large owl, it had big light brown circles around his eyes. You looked at your mom. She walked towards you.

'That is a Tawny Owl. Do you want it?'

You nodded.

'We have to wait for you dad but when he is here, you can buy it.'

You grabbed the cage of the owl so no one could take it.

'Miss (Your Mom's Last Name)?'

You looked up and saw that an old man was talking to your mom.

'Mister Alle! How nice to see you here.'

'It's been a long time!'

'Yeah I know!'

'So are you looking for a new owl?'

She shook her head.

'I'm here with my daughter. Y/N? Could you come here for a moment?'

You walked towards you mom.

'This is Diagon Alle. The manager of the shop. I bought my own owl here.'

'If your are going to be as great as your mom was, you can achieve a lot at Hogwarts... o look a Tawny Owl. You want that one?'

'Yes, please.'

You dad walked in.

'Hi.' He said while walking towards you.

'Mister Y/L! You're still together? That great!'

'It is isn't it? Here honey, buy that owl.'

He gave you some coins. It look weird.

'Dad what is this?'

'These are Galleons, you use them to pay here.'

You looked at the coins and walked with Diagon.

'That will be 10 Galleons, please.' You gave it to him and grabbed the owl.

'Thank you, enjoy your time at Hogwarts!'

After you were there you walked towards: Madam Malkin's Robes for All Occasions, Ollivander and Potage's Cauldron Shop. You had so many thing that you had to put them on a trolley to be able to carry them.

'You have everything dear! Here have these Galleons. Keep them safe! You can buy candy with them later in the train. But that's in a few days.'

You nodded and put them in your pocket.
